Lol, I can remember watching the Denis Quaid movie ' Enemy Mine ' way back on vhs video, but then im old enough to remember 8 tracks and recording radios top ten on cassette tapes. Wasnt it Louis Gosset Jr. As the alien in Enemy Mine...
They live, Enemy Mine, The Faculty, The Hidden and Species 1 & 2 were my faves. Would like to see a remake of They Live and the Hidden. This is the right time for it. My only issue with the Hidden was that Kyle McLaughlin turned into a beam of light even though he was the same as the other being that was trying to take over Earth. Would hope in the remake they correct that mistake.
Re: They Live - I had a Dell Gold Key comic "The Outer Limits #16" from 1967. One story "Strangers in Our Midst" had pretty much same plot. Eye/dark glasses allows the protagonist to see the alien "Strangers in Out Midst". The aliens had a sort of mind control from the antennae on there heads influencing peoples decisions. After failed attempts to warn others our hero ends up tucking the glasses away into his pocket to keep a silent surveillance to see what they aliens are up to. I wonder if Carpenter ever acknowledged this source as well as the Outer Limits TV episode "Behold, Eck!" and some Nudie-Cuties from the early sixties with the magic glasses that allowed the viewer to see women unclothed.
@@chesspunk489guess you know some not very much fans of anything sci fi or they’re just stupid ……cuz sorry it IS well known among most lovers of anything sci fi….
Honestly I’ve literally never heard of it until now; guess it depends on where you live, or maybe you just have to know of it to know where to look for it.
Oh look it’s the 13th doctor @21:33 if you’re confused let me explain Jodie Whittaker is the actress who played the female doctor aka the 13th doctor on doctor who.
"The Beyond" - "the aliens are never really shown" ahhh did the editor fsall asleep while putting this together or not know what the title was going to be? There are more clips on youtube doing this. I really think the narrators/editor, and the title creator dont know what each other is doing, one or more AI cRap.
😂 the faculty is not underrated in any way. It's full of a lot of top actors/actresses of the time. I mean roger and Ebert didn't call it great but who honestly really takes what 2 old dudes think about movies because I could give a shit less I love a ton if movies other people say are stupid. They live among those. Not to mention their remaking the faculty in 2024 probably won't be out till like 2026 but still.
LOL JJ Abrams brilliance , JAR JAR Abrams is a hack he is the destroyer of franchises just because his family knew Speilberg we all have to suffer Jar Jar Abrams and his crappy 75% copied films of much better originals ,he sucks just look at what he and the Woke clowns at Lucas film did to Star Wars

Enemy mine is one of my favorite movies.
Species. Natasha was my first celebrity crush and I definitely think the movie is underrated.
I would have included Lifeforce as well though.
They live is going to turn out to be true…lol. It’s sounds so plausible today honestly

lol in the eighties they talked about the environment, then we just stopped carrying. Now we all have micro plastics in our brains and liver.
2 I haven't seen, 1 is on my watchlist, and I've seen the other 9. Excellent movies too.

to say anything but 'the thing' is john carpenters greatest masterpiece is just wrong lol
they live is amazing though
I love both movies quite a bit, but I think They Live is slightly better.
Absolutely. I saw The Thing at the cinema. Still one of the best movies ever made. While They Live is cool, doesn't even come close.
"They Live" is NOT underrated. It is well known, continuously shown on TV and consumed in various home video formats and streaming platforms.
I would always ask people if they have seen that movie and nobody ever knew what it was. I think it is underrated.
For sure. Cult classic
Rowdy Roddy Piper... "I only cane here for 2 reasons."

Watched They Live last weekend! So good. But Jon Carpenters 'Master Piece"?? No. That would be The Thing.
The faculty is one of my favorite movies to watch, that movie is a hit classic frm late 90's

Mr. Furlong is Jon Stewart, of The Daily Show, and the Principal is Bebe Neuwirth, of Broadway and many movies, and Cheers.
Pandorom and the signal are very good
