I think that it has gotten out of hand and has became a parody of itself. The first three were cool. And if they did the fourth one right it could have ended well. But like Freddy Krueger and Mike Myers, it just started to become a caricature of what it was

I never liked Pinhead having a backstory. It makes him more human, but less terrifying. The mystery of the Cenobites was their greatest power!

There are several solutions to the puzzle box, The Lament Configuration is just one. The LeMarchand Configuration is another. There's at least one more I can't remember.
