    Sometimes my frustration levels get out of hand when reading comments. My challenge, not yours. If you already know these subjects perfectly (and rightly), then why are you watching? Why waste time and negatively criticize when you could be out actually using your knowledge? Practising? As a person who struggles with traditional/mainstream learning and academics, I appreciate clarification or rephrasing from different minds and different angles. A teacher may describe a lesson using symbols, while their pupil only understands texture or colour, and a mediator can bridge that gap. Deepak seems to perform that well. Also, if I had been in the room, I'd have been panicking about not remembering the language, the exact words, thus missing maybe, the whole point. Being told the talk would be published on UA-cam would have relaxed me into enjoying the moments, the tempo, the mood. Access to study, if desired, would be available, so kick back and enjoy. As an individual hearing this only once, I couldn't tell you much, literally, what was said or left unsaid, but I could tell you how it made me feel. For myself, once I have an emotional connection to a teaching, something to empathize with, the rest comes more readily. Sorry to over think and be wordy, but dudes, we all learn and express uniquely with commonality. If you have the answers, stop ingesting and taking, Get out and give. People will figure out their own "should have"s. I'm going to work on my own "will do"s.

      Good God! What a rant!
      If it resonates, take it.
      If it doesnt, leave it.
      You have no control over others, and
      They have no control over you.

    Shambhavi is bringing all the philosophical chatter to a place of practice, pragmatism. She should have been given more opportunity to articulate the importance of that as the content as she translates it is more relevant to the common person.

    Deepak is good man, but I think he interrupts the flow a bit too much. I commend the patience of Swami Vamadeva Shastri when he does this repeated

    Surrender with emotion, karma, being open to the fundamental question, Kama; (Bhakti, karma, jnaan and kamayoga)and use of all, yes, that explains Gita right.

    Enlightenment is actually Living Love, Peace, Joy, Goodness, Kindness, Beauty, Creativity, Compassion (Passion for All), Wisdom, Truth, in each and every moment of daily life.
    Enlightenment is actually being in Total Communication, Communion, Connection, Relationship with everyone and everything.
    Totally Free from stories, experiences, knowledge, images.
    Totally Free from fear, anxiety, personal sorrow, hatred, loneliness, inner conflicts, inner contradictions, jealousy, envy, greed, possessiveness, competitiveness, and attachments.
    Totally Free from beliefs, philosophies, ideologies, theories, opinions, perspectives, biases, prejudices, nationality, and identifications.
    Totally Free from the I, the me, the self, and the so-called True or Higher Self.
    Totally Free of thousands of years of past conditioning of the brain.
    All of which limit, color, shape & distort Perception, which prevents Lucidity.
    They who are Totally Enlightened actually treat everyone, without exception, with the same intensity and quality of care and affection that you would give your dearest closest friend, lover, or child, without any sense of division, separation or distance and without an iota of bias or prejudice, in each and every moment of their daily life.

      Be not deceived. You shall know them by their Fruits.
      A Healthy Tree bears Fruit.
      A sick tree is incapable of bearing Fruit.
      The Fruits are Love, Peace, Joy, Kindness, Goodness, Compassion (Passion for All), Beauty, Creativity, Lucidity, Truth, Wisdom...PerceivING, FeelING, ExperiencING...Communication, Communion, Connection, Relationship with everyone and everything, without a shadow of inner conflict, violence or suffering, in each and every moment of daily life.

    i could not understand with shambhavi is trying to say that her love for david is the same as the bhakti of the divine. its not the same. only when one rejects any such love does one experience divine ananda. both cannot exist simultaneously

    Of course this is a reality, but not THE reality. IF you are aware of your spiritual being you are getting somewhere. The mind is a VERY tricky thing/power. Controle your mind and everything will improve in your life. Freedom comes from no thinking in other words destroy the mind/ego. How? Read an autobiography of a yogi and do your own research.

    Well, bust my buttons... we exist and are aware of it! Bliss? A construct makes a construct.

    • @ToddSloanIAAN
      @ToddSloanIAAN 5 років тому

      Here we 22:01 can understand tragedy is an experience construct in a word that equals that of bliss as a tool in full awareness balanced with yoga understanding. They know the elements of a perfect buzz!

    Deepak Chopra made this discussion boring..he was constantly interrupting..

    • @joyluckkoneti776
      @joyluckkoneti776 6 років тому +1

      Agree. Any discussion you watch with Deepak Chopra as a moderator, he is constantly interrupting and steering the conversation to his liking, ignoring the broader interest. It seems to me that he makes it deliberately complicated. It was appalling to hear him say to the audience in this video that they don't need to not worry if they don't understand, they can watch the video again! Pardon me, is this not a bit condescending? Everyone who are watching this show/video may not know everything, but most folks who are listening to these conversations are doing so to push their intellectual and spiritual boundaries. So, shouldn't the conversation benefit the broader audience?

  • @dharmayogaashram979
    @dharmayogaashram979 7 років тому +1

    What a silly dialogue. These two bring to mind, the new-age guy (who suffers from convenient reality) telling his girlfriend, it's all an illusion (a construct); she then pours a cup of hot coffee in his lap and says "Have some maya." BTW, David is not a Swami.

    • @dharmayogaashram979
