Exactly what I was looking for. I was under the impression that when the solenoid wasn't energized the oil would flow but it's the opposite way. Thanks for such an excellent demonstration of the vanos operation.
ua-cam.com/video/2vFEu4adv9c/v-deo.html Engine with spring diaphragm. I double checked all surface clean them some oil, vanos piston moves and rotates easy by finger. On that video pressure around 4-5 bar and vanos works, but so worry about flex when solenoid on. On your video its solid
Ummm...i could see what your doing but is it supposed to do that? Is that normal? What tools do I need to do this? How much voltage you used to test. Pretty much a useless video because no explanation

Looking to fit in an oil cooler?
I got to tell you that you're doing a good job with this videos. I find them really useful, and with each one I've seen I've learned something
Thanks a lot!
Nice! Amazing how little they actually move..
GOOD look
Eine Frage müsste sich die Nockenwelle nicht beim eindrücken des Kolbens nach rechts drehen also im uhrzeigersinn ? bei minute 0:33
Vielen Dank 🙏
Good job
A hug here from Brazil.
Thanks for sharing, I've just learn from you !
Big thx. I will test mine too soon.
AWESOME!!!! THUMBS UP!!!
So what is vanos defrent between 1 and 2 good or bad pls explain for me
Thx for fast answer.
Wath voltage do you use on the electrical valve ?
12v from car battery.
12 volts, direct from battery, but polarity is crucial or you will blow the diode inside the solenoid unit
so great
What air pressure you put? Tis says 2-8, but mine not working well with 2-3bar, atleast 5 needed
If that is the case, your vanos seals might be leaking.
@@pazi88 yes it works with around 4-5 bar. But does its normally that vanos unit have some flex give a piwer for solenoid?

Good video
Thanks!
can i do the same test with out using the air?
Well then there is nothing moving the cams, so not really. You can only hear if the solenoid clicks.
how many bars of pressure is needed for this?
Not much. 1 or 2 bar
nice
i think you should be using a power probe? lol
why is there a pressure. Is this System working with magnets or air. i dont get it. If its air how is it working in a real running Car?
Nups Down It works on oil pressure when engine is running.
30 to 115 psi. Engine should be in TDC and flywheel locked
12 VOLTS?
***** Thanks
what does the vanor do? what is its "task"
+Pasi Kemppainen okey thanks!!!
+snowgalet its like vtec
@@MrRobbilun it's the opposite
Vtec is up high vanos is down low
I ///М Fan VANOS changes the timing, VTEC changes the timing+the lift of the valve
That's interesting.
Left and right does not seem to have identical movement.
zehyr No they don't. Exhaust doesn't move as much the intake does. But that's how it should be.
Ah okay, some how I was looking it as a V :D
Is this a working OK vanos ?
Yes.
how much pressure do you input
30 to 115 psi. Engine should be in TDC and flywheel locked
how can i know the correct polarity??
Either way will work.
А чё на М50 такой распреда маленький?
Как то мало ходит, или это норм?
hello, pazzi if you unplug vanos solenoid would vanos retard a camshaft?
What pressure ?
***** спасибо :)
