Lady,DR Karen Becker, this is the first time someone has done a you tube channel that's not doing it because they are simply looking for some kind of recognition without actually knowing very much about what they are talking about.
Thank you for giving accurate information. ❤️

Thank You! My Luna is a rescue and she has always had this musty smell. I had no idea yeast was even a thing in dogs. She has had this for along time and always seems depressed. I've started treatment and she is making a change and I couldn't be more happier. So thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to explain about yeast infections in such detail. It seems that most vets are overworked and so busy with unhealthy animals, they don't have the time to do a thorough job of explaining the necessary steps needed to treat and overcome yeast infections for every patient.

No. They get money from big pharm just like the medical doctors. Look at doctors that give you meds for depression instead of giving a blood test. Lack of vitiamins can cause unbalance. Money is motative now not quality of life sorry to say. To many animals with this problem.

But that IS their job! Problem is they’re all too quick to prescribe antibiotics which only makes the yeast worst, and knocks out the healthy gut-flora. To make matters worse they’ll insist you give your dog toxic medications with horrible cancer causing side-effects as a permanent solution instead of recommending a change in diet, more frequent bathing and natural topical remedies and supplements first. By the time most pet parents figure out that the alternative path should’ve been taken first, the poor animal is so screwed up and the pet parent financially and emotionally drained it takes a long and painful recovery to correct the damage done. Being overworked and busy is no excuse for poor healthcare and advice. Explaining the necessary steps needed to overcome this horrible disorder is why we pay astronomical fees per visit. The veterinary industry has become a disaster because most vets today refuse and just outright reject natural remedies and proper diet. Totally reprehensible.

Our 4month old Golden had ear infections in his ears. They smell, look like tiny dark brown dots down to his big ear canal. We started feeding a raw diet and his skin issues resolved in a matter of weeks. We mist with anti fungal sprays from a boutique dog store (or online). Those are all natural. We started to remove grains from his diet and fed a "grain free, legume free" kibble while we learned fhe transition to complete raw. He is doing muuuuch better. So, thank you Dr. !! Btw i am a microbiologist and 100% support everything she talks about. Its 100% true. I recently graduated from a school here in California.

I can’t thank you enough for this video . I experienced this exact issue in the extreme, my dog’s body was a mess, and though I saw two veterinarians, neither had any of these suggestions. I was all antibiotics, leading up to antibiotic resistant antibiotics, I had enough. I saw another of your videos on a raw diet, (as we had been on multiple diet changes with those vets), and so followed your instructions while waiting for an appointment for the 3rd. During that time, which was almost 3 weeks, I couldn’t believe the change I was beginning to see in my dog. By the time our appointment came around, my dog wasn’t nearly as bad as I had described to my new vet. I sent him photos of what we were experiencing. It’s now been about 3 months and his skin is almost completely clear. I honestly believe your video saved my dogs life. He’s like a puppy again. My dog and I can’t thank you enough for the education you provided. Thank you!

The diluted vinegar leave in rinse is a great idea, just keep in mind if your dog has any active hot spots the vinegar will burn. Tried it today and my dog flipped and jumped out of the tub. Probably best to use the dilute essential oils in the rinse or skip the rinse altogether if you have a dog with raw hot spots.

I've found wiping my dog down with a simple wash cloth dipped in water and then toweling him off to be a quick and easy way to keep my dog's coat clean. It might not be as thorough as a full shampoo bath, but it keeps his coat clean enough without taking away too many of the natural oils in his fur.

Thank you so much. After listening to you, I now realize my dog's problem is yeast. She is a Shiba Inu - I don't know about other Shibas, but mine does not like her ears fiddled with at all. I have been able to take a cotton ball soaked with Burt's Bees for Dogs Natural Ear Cleaner with Peppermint & Witch Hazel, but I've only been successful in placing the cotton ball on the top inside of the ears and squeezing the cotton ball against her ear skin. After I do that, she bolts - forget about gently rubbing her ear long enough to remove anything. I shall keep trying, though. Doing it on a daily basis is extremely challenging.
The skin under her forearms is definitely affected - it started reddish and has progressed to a brownish color, and that truly concerns me. I regularly place her four paws in a small plastic tub with warm water, betadine, and epsom salt (I have to carry her and place her in it - no way would she go in willingly) and keep her there for a few minutes. I also wet her underarms, belly, buttocks, and tail. After this procedure, she stops licking/chewing her paws for a day or so. I will try the vinegar/lemon "rinse" you recommend as well, after a shampoo.
I have changed her food diet so many times, eliminating chicken and peanut butter treats, switching to organic freeze dried (which she will not touch, not even soaked in anything tasty). Switched to a very expensive organic beef kibbles and she would not touch it at all. I now give her organic lamb kibbles as well as salmon kibbles, moistened with Omega 3-6 oil - but I will have to check to make sure there's no grain in those after listening to your recommendations. I cook turkey and do give her a bit of it every day - I hope that is not making it worse! I am afraid that the entire allergy could definitely be from the food.
I have ordered the Histoplex you recommend (I've been given her one 10 mg tablet of Benadryl nightly and she sleeps better with that, but it does not cure anything), so I hope it helps even more. I don't want to take her back to the Vet - all she got there was antibiotics and Prednisone. As you have explained, those are temporary measures and harm her system. Thank you for such a detailed and comprehensive video, it's much appreciated!

Yes, Colloidal Silver cures ALL infections in human or any animal. Use internally or topically. It is NOT expensive at all. I use the 2,000 ppm found on Amazon....only takes a couple of drops daily...lasts pretty much a lifetime if used just for your cat or dog. I add it to a bit of milk or whatever they like...boom no infections in the body ever !! I buy the 4 oz dropper bottle @ $ 65.00. Whole family uses it at my house every AM...never ever any sickness or infection whatsoever... For humans just sniff a couple of drops up your nose to bypass the gut for more bang for your buck.

When we first got our best buddy from the shelter, he had a terrible yeast problem - he smelled like popcorn or fritos or even dirty socks. It was food allergies- and a big problem with manufactured kibble and canned dog food. I found out he was allergic to everything BUT beef. I put him on a limited ingredient food (beef with rice was all I could find for now at the pet food store (why? Why why why?) but I am looking for something with only added veggies and fruits). There is one "fresh" brand that fits the bill but it is hard to find d - the shelves are always empty Beef! (What does that tell us?) I use beef only toppers, treats and bone broth. His ears were in bad shape, between his toes, his belly and his "armpits "). I am very sensitive to that yeast smell, too. I added plain Greek yogurt everyday, coconut oil in his food and on his skin, and I added turmeric to his food. The itching is now only because the scales are healing - and no more smell! I also use apple cider vinegar on his skin and it helps as well. I have not tried it in his diet but will see if he will indeed ingest it. This is an ongoing treatment because I am learning something new every day.
That dog food manufacturers put all this bad stuff in dog food boggles my mind. Names we are supposed to trust are making our dogs so terribly unheslthy - its killing our dogs!
Can't we get all the Vetinary doctors together to demand a change in the industry?

I followed Dr. Backers raw diet for my cockapoo/Westie mix and I could never get his stools right. His skin infections have been life long. Having a TICA procedure on his constantly infected ear gave me a new, less aggressive, more comfortable dog, less smelly too! But his skin constantly formed yeasty plaques that I had to debred like a burn patient! He’s been on Dr. Marty’s freeze dried food for a year and it corrected his stools, but not his skin yeasty plaques…until I found one specific probiotic. It was a miracle! Is he yeast free? Not entirely but the plaques are gone! OMG! That alone is a God send. I’ve tried many probiotics on him but PetLabCo probiotic chew did the trick. I have it auto shipped! I’m going to try Dr. Backers recommendations for the bath and rinses and hopefully calm his paws and warts which develop yeast at the base of these nasty, numerous growths. He’s 13 y/o and has grown into a real loving dog…warts and all 😆!

Not a doc just a dog lover of 7 fur babies. I have learned a lot on this channel my saint started getting crystals in her urine so I read up on it. A regular vet dr would give you a prescription diet so they say but that diet is carb heavy and carbs increased the chances of urine crystals yet they add things to the dry food to make that dog thirsty so they drink more and flush the crystals. Makes since yet doesn’t fix their problem it just masks it. But a raw diet has no carbs so I watched more on this channel and added the primal pack here on UA-cam . Also my dog has a Instagram page at saintmazie and some food videos. Its scary at first start slow. It’s actually very easy and affordable. Dr Becker has a video more on it tells all the things no to give a dog with this problem like even carrots their dog treats can be meat but no carbs like say a milk bone or other bone. My girl is going great no more Uris or crystals so I am very happy

I tried a lot of the herbs you mentioned, garlic, Apple cider vinegar, probiotics, nutritional yeast, and even bone broth. It seems like the yeast is traveling. I've been washing him with anti- dandruff shampoo. I have bathed him with several different products. He is so nasty. But, I don't want to give him antibiotics.

I cant smell the yeast so I think it might not be that, but Im new to all this so I have no clue what he could have. Can I make a garlic, honey, meat stew will it help get rid of yeast?

    • @marlenejones399
      @marlenejones399 Рік тому +1

Barney, try shaving the hair away gently, So you can see what's going on. Sounds like a hot spot. Use some cortisone cream, If he can reach it, make sure you put a cone on him, so he's not making it worst and or licking off the cream. Hope this helps. I'm thinking hot spot only because you haven't mentioned any other area being affected. Could be a bug bite as well. I would start with the cream. If he continues to chew other areas of his body, feet, legs and has reoccurring ear infections, then I would say it's most definitely a yeast issue

Vitamin E oil is helpful in healing; Especially if u can keep your pet from scratching that spot.
Also the Vitamin Betaseristol, I think I spelled that correctly, works great for the itching, as opposed to the prescribed apparel. Which is a bad med, even tho it works, it's very unhealthy for our fur babies. I listen and read quite a bit, I get the majority of my information from Dr. Jones vetinarian channel.

It's so much and very disorganized.
Diet: low glucose food is most important (no potato, tapioca, rice, corn, wheat as yeast loves carbs), add antifungal foods to diet like garlic or oregano or fermented veggies or ACV and coconut oil.
Disinfection Protocol (remove old dead yeast before actual treatment bath): Witch hazel with cotton balls for ears as often as debris appears- every dog is different.
Disinfection Solution recipe for feet and skin is one gallon water and a cup AVC and a cup of peroxide (taken from her other video). Dunk feet in can or tub and pat dry. Don't rinse. Or pour over dog's back and into crevices like groin.
Treatment: Antifungal shampoo (no oatmeal) like tea tree oil or herbal shampoo.
Post bath rinse: gallon of water+ cup of ACV or cup of Lemon juice. Pour collar to tail. Never head/eyes. Towel dry. Lemon and hydrogen lightens fur so use vinegar.
this video is also disorganized but better: ua-cam.com/video/gl_X1I1GJ1Q/v-deo.html
