Chris, you might need to talk to Baen about the lack of distribution. I just found out that none of my local stores(booksamillion, barnes and noble, local store) will carry Disquiet Gods. Seems crazy to me. You deserve better. Youre too good a writer to not be in brick and mortar stores.
This is a problem with multiple books. Unless is TikTok famous they don’t put it
Out. Especially the books by authors they’ve always carried. It’s months or never before they show up in my stores 😢

I saw only good reviews of empire of silence and finally picked the book for myself last month
I feel disquiet now because I'm sure I will never read a series as good as this one, i procrastinated reading this book for fear of finishing it too quickly and now that its over i feel like im in the howling dark waiting for my alternate self to point me in the righr direction. I mean this book and series is literally going to change me as a human being. This will go down as an all time great in not only Sci fi but literature in general. Empire of silence setup the struggle and heros journey of Hadrian. The howling dark showed the series potential and really got the ball moving. Demon in white is the best book I've ever read and dare I say will read although Disquiet God's is on par with demon in white for me and I sense the next book might surpass it. Kingdoms of death was a brilliant brilliant turn down a dark path the real pit of hardians journey his decent into the 7 layers of hell. Ashes of man set the ride back in the upwards direction and btw has my favorite cover of any book with my favorite female character from any book. And this book just blew me away. I literally sobbed twice reading this book and multiple times after thinking about certain tropes. The slow unwinding of the scale of things is so perfect and the sci-fi themes are so intelligently done that this could really happen in our universe, it takes and improves upon themes in books and movies like dune, the matrix, star wars..This series tickles all my fancies. The philosophy behind it, the enemies are perfect, characters are perfect, I can't say this enough this would make an all time great tv show this needs to be adapted in the future and by the time it is I'm certain Rucchio will be succesful enough to run it on his own terms

Very excited to read Disquiet Gods 🎉. About Book 7 tho, great title btw, I hope that at the end Hadrian is like: "If there is one thing that you should learn from all of this, Reader, is that the Sun was truly...delicious...". Anyways, the Sun Eater series truly has a special place in my heart and I'm really grateful that I got to read the books (will definitely re-read them too because 1. I missed a lot and 2. why not?), and I'm sure it'll be remembered as one of the greats in the future 🔥🔥🔥

I’m only on Kingdoms of Death but it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read and def my fav one in the series so far. I couldn’t put it down, my jaw dropped every chapter. Thank you, this series is getting me through junior yr🙏🙏

Hey Christopher, congratulations on the new release!! You mentioned that the posters from the new Diamond editions will be available for general purpose at some point. Will the dust jackets for them be available sometime as well?
Probably not, due to the nature of the printing. The posters, when they go up for general sale down the road, will be print on demand, whereas the jackets would have to be batch printed and kept in stock (also bear in mind the jackets won't be perfect fits for the DAW edition).

Hi, I have a question regarding the french edition !! We have so far the first 4 books, I would like to know if it's planned to release the latest books in near future ? or not because of the editor change that happened. Thanks ... cheers
Unfortuanately, I got news recently that my French publisher has elected not to renew the series after book 4. I am very sorry. I was surprised, I thought the books were doing reasonably well in France.
The Amazon UK page says it's the "sixth and final" book in the series, just to confuse the issue.
They were similarly confused about book 5.
While I absolutely love the inclusion of a map in this book, I am disappointed to see the omission of all of the other reference material: Dramatis Personae, Index of Worlds, and Lexicon. You have created such a vast and sprawling universe - not having that information readily available to reference poses a challenge to the reader. What was the rationale for its omission?
I think you were the guy I talked to on IG, but the issue was paper cost. Baen was cagey about publishing a book so long as Disquiet Gods (their books usually run much shorter) and I was given a choice between including the dramatis, etc or cutting the book. I chose the book.
I don't really have any plans to go and write the appendices for DG for later publication. It usually takes me a couple weeks to reread the book and compile the documents, which would retard the production of book 7. I'd love to get more lore and background material stuff up on my website, but I'm simply spread too thin at the moment.
@@SunEaterBooks That is…disappointing. And yes, I also asked on IG. So thank you for your response. While I do understand the economics of printing and paper costs, I do feel that you’ve created a universe that is big and complex enough to warrant reference material; if your publisher is reluctant to print your reference material because there is so much of it - that tells you something. I have read your books, all of them, multiple times over. And I still am constantly using that material. Imagine how a new reader feels? It’s borderline overwhelming.
