First, I hope you are well Scott and the health issues are behind you. Second, congrats on another awesome intro and in depth review on an interesting board. Collection is getting dominated by all of these legit 75 boards. Thanks again for all of your informative videos and creative intros. The best!
Agreed! It's easy to jump from one board to another, especially with Meletrix/Wuque, Owlab/Qwertykeys, and Irislabs/JRIS boards all releasing similar boards at similar times. I appreciate your reminder that there will always be a "new" or "better" board, but in the end, we should still remember it's preference to what board is better than the other, and that it's totally fine to enjoy the QK75 you have and not feel like you have to grab a JRIS75! Great message, and awesome video as always, Scott.
Imo it's kinda luck based. Since keyboards take so long to arrive, sometimes you can't really choose which one is the BEST fit for you since by the time all options come out, most others have already been sold out. You be happy with what you have and make the most of it (at least you got to order one lol, these kinds of stuff run out QUICK). And hey, there's always room for mods to make your keyboard sound just the way you want.
It's great to see Scott back! I've been waiting for something with this non exploded 4key nav layout for a 75% with wireless for a while. It does seem with every other builds, the flex cuts don't hurt the sound on the board so much. But glad that it does have a non flex cut option. Anti flex cut gang getting some traction!
"feeling cute today, might drop some fomo on these kids" - keyboard companies on a serious note its nice to see these companies continue to innovate without skyrocketing the price and it seems multiple mounting options is becoming almost a norm which im all for, i also like that they're finally making rgb an option!
One small correction: I believe the default kits comes with IXPE foam and the EVA foam is an optional extra. Based on this and some of your previous videos, I added the EVA foam to my order. Thanks for continuing to put out great content and glad to hear your health is better.
Absolutely love your videos! The skits at the start are always entertaining, and I always keep coming back because of how professional and well-made they are.
Nice review as always Scott, glad to see you back! I also appreciate you calling out the never-ending "something better will come out next week" issue in this growing hobby, though it is certainly a good "problem" to have :) I *do* wish that custom keyboard content creators such as yourself could be up front about the accessories included at the price point advertised. Obviously the design studios are going to send the content creators pretty much ALL of the options/accessories. Whether content creators just don't know better or they honestly believe customers will actually receive the same accessories for that price, most of them kind of act like if someone buys the keyboard they'll just magically *get* all of the same accessories they themselves received. This can easily lead an unwary buyer to think they're getting all of the options for that base price, when in fact most of them are add-ons that can drive the price of the board much, much higher
Killer intro. It's so spot on with tech in general. I've tried to really abandon the "chasing the best" method of buying new tech. At the end of the day, companies always want you want the next thing. It's how they make money - who can blame them? So it's best to find happiness with what you have. When the time's right to get a new one, the choice will be apparent.
So after watching this I had a chance to pick one of these up used and indeed it is a fantastic board! However you failed to mention how fun putting the knob or the badge on was with that ribbon cable you have to snake through the PCB and plate ;) Eyestrain aside, thank you Scott for the review, probably would have passed on it had I not seen your video!
go figure, when i had money and built quite a few HIGH end customs, the custom world had a few boards that caught my eye, now that money is super tight all these $200 really nice options are showing up. I ain't regretting my current builds what so ever but damn, i could have got more for my money now
Yooo, glad to see you back Scott! I really missed the intros. Good to hear your health is back to top tier levels! I've been thinking about the Akko Top 75 aluminum. But this Jris75's got some serious propositions! Amazing video as usual ✌😅
Such a clean board, especially with those bottom weights. Hope you are feeling well; take whatever breaks you need! It's always worth it to wait for these banger reviews.
I've always liked the JRIS more than the QKs and Zooms sound wise, and now with this one, look wise. I imagine they're going to come out with a TKL so I'm gonna wait on that, but I gotta say, they did a great job.
@@erickwon2612 hi Eric, TKLs have the arrow keys completely separate from the other keys, and the insert/Pg up/Pg down keys in a 2x3 grid above them. 75% will have them in the same column as other keys

Sorry to hear you were dealing with health problems Scott, hope you can stay feeling well indefinitely! Crazy timing on the review, my JRIS65 just shipped from KFA! I think if I’d known at the time they’d come out with a 75, I might have waited, but I’m currently sitting on a Bubble, plateless Thera, and Sonnet, so I certianly don’t need this. Glad to see constant improvement to the quality / price point of products in the hobby!
Ove ten years ago I bought what was "The best mechanical keyboard" and I still have it to this day. I recently gifted it to my wife so I could get another. I was about to buy the next version of that very same keyboard when I realized there are new companies and better designs. Good looking board! That said, I'm happy with my QK75, will definitely be sticking with this for a while. I do think I'll pick up a wireless Monsgeek M1 when it comes out, but that's on the more budget friendly side of things, and will be for my office.
Hope you're feeling better Scott! Thanks for the review on this, but I don't love how blatantly Iris Studio has taken ideas from QK75, Bubble75, and Matrix Corsa

Glad to hear you're doing better first off. I'm a sufferer of long term illness and I understand how being ill can take a lot of time. In terms of keyboard though how do you brave using a hot-swap pcb without a plate? I know having 5pin switches obviously helps but I'd be worried about them not being stable enough. Also I think the foam added at the end takes all the personality away from the board and makes it sound just like every other cheap keyboard with PE foam. Excellent looking keyboard though. hey, both are great options. I suggest you choose based on the external appearance that looks more pleasing to yours eyes. With all the tension catch system made of metal and the aluminum case, wouldnt it make this keyboard more pingy than the keychron q1 v1? One more question...jris75 or the zoom75 thats about to drop soon...I hope 🤔🤔🤔
I honest don't hear ping on the Jris75 I tested. I think the catchball system actually reduce total metal contact between top and bottom case, ....I guess since only the catchball system is touching each other.
I couldn't find out for sure on the page, but it seems like you'd have to pay extra to get a knob/badge that matches your weight? or just to get a knob in general? That is definitely a bummer.

Hey Scott what are some of your favorite switches?
Wow, that plateless build sounded really good for a flex cut pcb! I tried boba LTs (another really thocky switch) on my plateless arc60, and its one of the best sounding boards I have now. Deep thocks really balance out the clackiness of plateless, and probably even more so with flex cuts! Did you tape your flex cuts at all? Didn't even sound like it has flex cuts lol
Hey Scott, sorry for the late comment. Great video (but Mr. Suit still the better premium board :p). Do you know if you would possibly do a Tofu 60/65 2.0 review sometime in the future? It's been a while since you did your original Tofu o-ring mod, and I think a lot of people including myself would really enjoy another Tofu video. Thanks!
Does it has any problem of plateless with hotswap built? and it sound so pe like does it really no pe?
Hey Scott! I need help, Im new to the mechanical board scene and I want to build a custom mech both for gaming and work. I was reading about the "gaming keyboard" and saw alot of things abouth N-key roll over. Does all custom board have it too? or is it strictly a razer/logitech thing? Nice vids as always! keep it up!
All modern keyboards have N-Key rollover. Join the r/mechanicalkeyboards subreddit
Yup! Customs have it too!
@@sainteagle4426 omg thank you soo much! I've been thinking hard because the Asus ROG azoth seems too pricey when it doesnt really sound great. This board seems to tick all what Im looking for. Thank you so much!
@@Keybored good thing I asked first! I was about to buy the obscenely high priced Asus ROG azoth... Thanks Scott!
