Hi Everyone and Welcome to Promethean Sewing Machines, where I am unashamedly rebelliously creative when it comes to taking old forgotten sewing machines and bringing them back to life in a beautiful way.
    Meet my new project:
First of all this girl deserves some love. The model 115, although not "rare" are far from common. She arrived in pieces, missing parts, odds and ends, but we are going go give her a beautiful new life. This video is part 1.
    Thanks!
    Marie

I just got a dirty, crusty, well-used Singer 115 from an estate sale. It seems to have started out as a treadle but was converted to electric later on. My tension assembly looks appropriate to 1915 (its year), with no numbers at all. This one does look quite a bit newer than the machine.
