Oh my God, I always forget what I study within 2 days and I feel like this would be the perfect way to revise and remember (especially all the dates and difficult names in history). I love how fast paced the video was and how simply you explained everything. Thanks a lot :)
Thank you sooo much!!!!
This made my day :)
What other content do you want to see by the way?
would love a video on how to overcome procrastination or how to be consistent in studies :)
This is so helpful as i have so many biology contents to remember, tqvm! This video deserves more views istg
Thank you so much!!!
Honestly you made my day :)
What other content do you wanna see btw??
I use active recall too, it’s saved me! 😊
how I use it is by reviewing my class work after school straight away,
making a flashcard on the content accordingly to the spec, then review it during the week. ❤
Also, nice video!
Amazing!
I used to also do it straight after school but scientifically leaving 1 hour 15 - 1 hour 30 minutes between school and starting your flashcards / active recall session seems to be the sweet spot.
have you tried spacing it out?
@@thetalhaaaAh, I see. not really I will put that into consideration from now on, I’ll see if that method works better.
Thank you.
no worries!
What other content do u wanna see?
@@thetalhaaa Revision resources, that work best for you?
amazing :) Any subjects in particular???
Thanks brotha this really helped me keep going brotha

Your videos are so good. It feels that I've finally found someone who's able to give me proper guidance. Thank you☺️
Soooo happy to hear this :)
What are you studying btw and where
Really nice and short video, other study influencers fail to deliver such appropriate and precise messages to students.
Thank you sooo much - honestly your comment made my day!!!
What in particular did you like about the video?
the video was short and informative and also gave a true way of studying
Your tips are so good thank you so much
Thank you soooo what other videos do u wanna seee
Amazing content and nicely structered
Thank you soooo much - what r u studying btw? Like GCSEs , A levels - or something else entirely ?

Woh Thanksh Brotha!!🍫✨
no worries :) how did you find the vid??
@@thetalhaaa Just searched "How to get good grades in maths and how to recall" and got your video on top!!😂✨I am having mah math exams from 1 march🗿🍫
GOOD LUCK!!!!
Let me know how the exam goes :)
Oh and also - what content do u wanna see? Like what else are you searching up, etc?
@@thetalhaaaHow bout "how to attemp your exam more efficiently "

oooohhh that could be great … also I’m thinking of making a video on how I beat procrastination forever???
The person with the guitar is actually is the best way of revision. It's called memory palace. It's not wierd at all.
If it works it works 🤷♂️ 🤷♂️
To keep active recall going, when do I revisit this knowledge. Say I learn something and then I remember it the next few days but I need to keep learning the amount of content and keep going. When do I ever revisit this knowledge
I would honestly say try to revisit at LEAST ONCE A WEEK!
@@thetalhaaa yes that would be good but surely in the long run I will spend longer active recalling as I will have revised more right?
I revise using blurting and practice papers
I’m gonnna make a whole video on blurting 👀 👀

And.. i just found u AFTER my exams🙂
My next semister is gonna start and i just noticed i used active recall my enitre life 🗿✨
Asain parents advice..lol
There is a wrong way to revise..
I needed tht tho
😭 fair enoughhh - what other content do you wanna see btw?
@@thetalhaaa actually my new semister is gonna start so may be like she to do from starting but I'll watch it no matter tho ✨
can you do a video on how to get better at maths? really appreciate these videos, you really helped me!
Of course!!!!
I actually ended up getting 2nd in my school for maths gcse (the person who got first sacrificed every grade for maths 😭) - so I’m absolutely gonna do a video!!!
@@thetalhaaa thank youuu ♥️♥️♥️
thank you awesome video, I use quizlet to write down my notes from a cgp book and make flashcards is it useful? I know its my technique of revising but I forgot stuff most of the time from it, can you recommend other methods? thank you
Of course!!!
Some other methods I recommend is doing the questions and answers - get a lined piece of paper - write questions in RED and answers in BLUE. The colour coding and the fact that you don’t have to waste energy moving between flashcards means you’ll remmeber a LOT more stuff.
Alsoooo what other content do you wanna see??
Over and over nd over again😂❤
😭😭😭😭😭Lowe itttttttttttt
Good vid man
thanks so much :) lemme know If u need anymore study tips and also what other vids do u think I should make
@@thetalhaaa did u do gcse history? And could u make a vid on how u got 9s in English pls
ahhh unfortunately I didn't do GCSE history but 100% im gonna do English - is there anything ur struggling on in particular?
@@thetalhaaa no not really, I got a 6 in lit and a 7 in Lang in my mocks, I need to boost my grades to 9s
I was on a constant grade 7/8 in both and then I discovered a couple things which boosted me up to a 9 will make a video super super soon!!!!
how would you revise alevel economics efficiently (i dont even have an effective way of revising it which is why i'm asking) and also implement active recall
Great video. Does active recall work for languages and how would you adapt revision for them as languages tests other skills such as speaking and listening as well as just vocab.
A language video is coming soon!!!
What are you studying - GCSEsv
@@thetalhaaa Yea gcsc german here
Hi, I usually study by watching videos and then doing past papers. I have found it more effective than writing notes as I would do it and literally remember nothing. So i really dont know how to study and my grades are not looking the best.
Hmmm that’s v interesting so you skip the entire second step - active recall ???
@@thetalhaaa I have now started making flash cards as per your advice but I saw another video which said don’t make flash cards as it is too late now, find some online
How do you take your notes? I usually spend 3+ hours taking notes on 1 lectures and it’s pretty time consuming.
I’m gonna make a note taking video very soon thanks for the recommendation for now though
- try to practice note taking by listening to lectures in 2 X speed 👀👀👀👀
great video man , could you do a video on maths it would really benefit me.
im doing one on maths extremely soon!!!
What exactly are you looking for? :)
@@thetalhaaa how to get a grade 5 in maths and also how to revise maths as a whole please :)
I watch videos and also read the text book then I create detailed notes on A4 sheets of paper on every topic.
Then after I finish I read my notes then I look away and try memorise then recite all the knowledge I wrote on those pages. What else can I do?
if this is the way you find most effective then dont overthink it!!!
do you think that making mind maps off notes, using past papers, and physics and maths tutor questions will be effective long term😊
My personal recommendationn:
- make your notes
- create ACTIVE RECALL mind maps - watch my active recall video I explained it
Then do the PMT questions
Then revisit the past papers over and over because it’ll naturally help you do active recall asw as understanding how the exam works
I barely have a week or two left from my final exams and ive spent the past three years procrastinating. My mind was like 'it'll be easily done the next day, chill for now' and that backfired me. Im unable to find an effective way of studying. Any tips?
This is gonna sound kinda crazy.
Where do you wanna get to in life? If you wanna tell me go ahead - if you don’t, at least try answer the question yourself
If you have a career or at least a field in mind - you need to know that your final exams are gonna be very important
After that you’re gonna have a LOT of time to rest!!
How do I revise history and classical civilisation if there is little time to make flash cards on everything?
my bro there are premade flashcards on apps like anki but for history and the classics part of my latin course i litch just try to memorise the textbook by reading it for 20 min at a time like section by section then writing out everything i can remember, comparing it to the textbook and seeing what i missed, writing that on a separate page and memorising that then repeat the process
i did my mocks and i got mainly 5 i really want to get grade 8,7 in my actual gcse ik i’m too far and too late to get grade 9 do u have any other tips that could help me boost my grades
Ummm are there any tips ur looking for I can make videos for them!!!
Hi , I have been trying really hard to do well in my exams . I do triple science and have been getting 6s and 4s but I am working really hard . I have been doing physics and maths tutor flashcards and have been doing exam questions but not gettting the grades that I want . I want 7s/8s at the end of year 11 , please could you help me with a revision technique that I can use it 2 months to schieve my goal ? 💙
there's no way you commented this LITERALLY as I'm writing my videos for how to get grade 9s within 60 days 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Monday - 7PM 👀
I'll make sure to cover everything you asked!!!
If I don’t write my own questions, but I do past paper questions on the topic I studied and memorise the correct answers on the ones I got wrong. Would u way this is a good method?
Definitely not in most cases… lemme explain
It’s not about getting the questions right - it’s about making sure you get the knowledge for that topic right.
An exam question is a manifestation of a part of a topic that you need to try and get right - it’s only one part of the topic.
You need to test yourself on the REST of the topic - by making questions instead.
@@thetalhaaa I see… thanks for the reply!!
No worries and it’s a super important question that you asked!!!
What content do u wanna see btw?
How should I find the time to do this for each chapter in 7 subjects on top of school work? I always start and then get overwhelmed with the volume of work and I stop
Tomorrows video 👀
I use flash cards to summarise topics and the try to memorise the flash cards
literally perfect - I used to do that a lot (alongside my own method which I haven’t revealed yet 😭)
I revise by re-reading my notes and question answers. How should I revise?
before I answer I need to know this quickly: are you notes DIFFERENT to your questions and answers? as in do you make up questions in your head or do you have actual questions and answers written on a DIFFERENT paper / book than your note?
@@thetalhaaayes I have written question and answers on a separate notebook from internet and from other help books and that content is same as my notes but in question-answer format.
do you think If I revise a lot in the next two months I can jump up 3-4 grades?
hmmmmmm
What grades are you currently at and what subjects are you finding the hardest ???
6- 7s for sciences english and geo
5s for math and french
9s in RS
im planning on revising 4 hours after school and then 10 or more in the weekend
@@thetalhaaa
Wait, so when would you do your exam questions on that topic? On day 1, 3 or after 2 weeks? 😅
Exam questions I always do after minimum 3 days of active recall!!!! And then setup a schedule so I’m doing active recall alongside exam questions constantly
@@thetalhaaa Ohhh okayy, that makes sense. Thank youuu!!!
No worries!!!!
Should we do this everyday and are we expected to learn everything in one day?
No no everyday - split it up!
Is it too late to start making flashcards for all subjects?😭
No absolutely not!!!
You need to do 2 things:
1. Learn how to make flashcards quickly (which you understood after watching this video hopefully :)
2. stop procrastinatinggggg - I have a video on never procrastinating give that a watch and if u want leave a comment to lemme know :)
Does active recall build long term memory for any subject? Or only certain subjects?
Honestly An amazing question -
I would say that for 90% of subjects it builds a long term memory (I still remember stuff from GCSEs even though I’m literally in uni rn 😭) - but there are some subjects (like Spanish for example) - where active recall was great for short term but not so good for long term!
@@thetalhaaa Oh okay thank you so much! 😊!Great video it really helps!
thank you!!!!!!
what other videos do u wanna see btw - like what are you searching up or what would you wanna watch?
@@thetalhaaa I would wanna watch a video on how to juggle revision around all your subjects, specifically during the final exam time. (Don’t know if it’s a great idea)
Here for the algo. We went to high school together. Remember me?
and how would I forget the best chess player in the country?

nooo wayyyy where r u from?
@@thetalhaaa my cousin name is also Talha🤷♀️😌
A common name in Pakistan
Bro I’m here because of my ADHD😩
😭 have you tried active recall so far?
I revice by watching videos about the topic and writing the info down
And then what type of flashcards do you write?
@@thetalhaaa I don’t make flashcards, it has never worked for me. Even with the question and than answer thing. I just hate using them because it bores me out after 15 min
Waittt but then how does writing stuff down not bore you then??
@@thetalhaaa because I’m watching it with a video. So it’s like a mix of writing and listening. Kinda like in school, but you can pause the video to like “suck” the material in. It actually works really good. And than I do practice problems/excercices.
ahhhhh ok interesting...
so its basically classroom learning on 2X speed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do u reckon I should make a video on it
Bro how do you even make flashcards
