Brother how long should we revise for
1:55 Grade 4, 7 and 1 is set judgementally so this statement is wrong if you're referring to judgemental grade boundary.
2:00 "Setting the grade standards of new GCSEs in England - part 2 says "Grades 2, 3, 5 and 6 will be awarded arithmetically so that the grade boundaries are equally spaced in terms of marks from neighbouring grades". So if what you said it true then why does the Ofqual document say that grades 5 and 6 are evenly spaced in marks from grade 4 and 7 rather than solely on people around you?
2:02 Benton, T. (2016). A possible formula to determine the percentage of candidates who should receive the new GCSE grade 9 in each subject. Cambridge Assessment Research Report. Cambridge, UK: Cambridge Assessment says the formula for achieving grade 9 is proportion of those achieving at least grade 7 who should be awarded grade 9 = 7%+0.5*(Percentage of candidates awarded grade 7 or above)
Can you explain why you said the contrary to this and can you give evidence directly from Ofqual?
What you just did was prove my point 3 times over.
By definitional, you cannot have a RELATIVE grade without having a STANDARD. A standard is what everything else - every other grade - goes by. Just because those grades are set by standard (which you haven’t actually provided evidence for) - it doesn’t disprove ANYTHING of what I said.
2. Just because they’re equally spaced does that mean it isn’t relative??? NO, it can be that they set the DIFFICULTY such that those are gonna be the difference in grades, and still maintain relativity.
3. What on earth are you talking about in the last point? The formula is relative. I don’t know how on earth you misunderstood what you read.
Your username really does add up to what you just typed out - sit this one out lil bro you’re cooked 😭😭😭😭😭😭
