What perplexes me is that riders of " Big " Harleys are occasionally heard to describe a 1200 Sportster as a " Girls Bike " but here is an Electraglide with a 1200 cc engine .
People who say that Sportsters are girls bikes must never have ridden one. They are some of the most ornery, uncomfortable, ill handling bikes I've ever ridden. Over my past 50yrs of riding, I have owned two of them and I love em.
@@rarebreed9208 A bike that few have ridden and have been called a girls bike is the 45 c.i. flathead WL's (solo seat hardtail with hand shift/foot clutch) that were produced from the 1930's until 1952! These bikes were great. I built and have owned a few in my 50+ years on two wheels! (I'm 74!) In 1953 the sportster made its debut. Still a flathead and still a bear to ride.
@@redpilledpatriot8484 I love my iconic Pan/Shovel. Not only are old HD a good investment they are a beautiful work of art. Hence people love and collect vintage cars and bikes, any HD prior to 1979 and a couple of models up to 1984 are a good investment. Evolutions only go backwards in price. Nothing sounds as good as the true iconic HD From Flathead to the Pan/Shovel, a Shovelhead is only a Panhead engine with upgraded heads.This engine was sold for decades the basic concept with slight modifications and improvements here and there over the years, up until they produced the Evolution. Yes the Evolution is a good long haul motorcycle, but until you've ridden an old bike you've never truly ridden a HD. Each to there own.. Live to Ride...
