71s came with a tillotson carb, NOT a Bendix. Most got changed out when tillotson parts became "unobtainium" here (though their Irish plant still sells rebuild kits), or when the owner/wrench decided the mysterious workings of them was a bit too arcane a skillset, lol.
The only love that shovel ever needed was a rear end in the seat and a hand on the throttle. The only time it ever failed to start was when there was no gas in the tank. It puked oil every now and again but that’s part of it. I kick myself all the time for selling it. Oh well it was a great ride.
Beautiful bike and one that always will make heads turn when riding it the love of motorcycles especially the old hd's the sound and the ride the oil it's all part of owning one plus awesome history iron heads are the shit
Could he have forgot to adjust the clutch before he did that video what run you know Warda almost let the lever out to where it doesn’t do it or I could be wrong I’m just curious because that was a pretty big lurch and I got Shovel heads, and some of them jumped a little forward, but that seemed Chyna a little more than much but I could be wrong. It could just be my phone fucking with me I don’t know I don’t care. It’s a beautiful bike I would love to own it I would be proud to have that bike I wouldn’t sell it.
Beautiful bike!

The 1971FLH came with a Bendix carb not Tillotson , and you can get OEM rebuild kit or the junk kit and or brand new Zenith/Ben Carb still
I wonder if HD allowed people to special order bikes with different carbs??

Just needs a little love.

Exciting video
Very nice!
When you tried to take off the first was the e-brake on?
It wasn't in gear yet. They go into first with a loud clack. Every gear change is like that. The 5 speed trans is a little bit quieter.
no, just needs some clutch adjustment, but the 5-speed is a better shifting trans, both should just click into gear from neutral.
COOL ASS RIG ALL YOU NEED NEED IS A ICE CHEST FULL OF BEER AND A LITTLE POLISH AND ELBOW GREASE
Sweet 🏍🍺🖖🏼👍🏼😎
How much?
I sold that one about 5 years ago. I have regretted it most every day. Don't miss the oil puddle on the garage floor though.

Did you finally make the MISTAKE of your life and sell it?
a real bike, I'll buy it
And it hasn't been molested
