Child murderers scare me to death. When I was 12, I was still playing with Barbies & baby dolls. I can’t imagine this crime being carried out by a child.
I get aggravated when young teens or older teen kills someone or several people and people say things like their just a child trying to say they didn’t do it or get sympathy. I always try to explain that there is a reason why child soldiers exist in some countries, it’s cause they can be the most brutal!! They can be programmed into an uncaring killing machine they haven’t gained the value of life, it’s the same reason we all do dangerous things when young we feel invincible.

Her admitting it to authorities, was her “power move” and it’s actually quite fitting given her lack of parental guidance, her mental health issues, lack of confidence pre-murder, etc
It truly is. I think it has something to do with children being known as being pure and innocent, and when they do something completely opposite of that... it really creeps the human brain out.
Seeing these cases really make me wary around kids, even though I love them. They’re human just like everyone else but we just think of kids as innocent naive sweet hearts and when they kill it’s so shocking like what happened 😟

Yeah I’ll doubt she was schizophrenic probably psychopathic, although psychopaths aren’t all killers most of them aren’t and live a normal life but if not treated well and a ruff childhood that’s what turns them into murderers, and ppl who are schizophrenic are very unlikely to commit murder honestly I would never consider someone to be schizophrenic because they have murdered so that’s my opinion

It would've been a mix of loads of stuff. Her parents clearly had mental health issues, which Sharon would've inherited, and then her upbringing, followed by taking weed at such a young age and hanging round with bad people. Each of those things has a part to play
Usually a mix of things as many heavily abused kids don't end up like this. There are some genetic issues seen in child and adult killers...certain things missing in the brain.
@Queen Nové It was created, not born. Her childhood created a monster, the terrible things she went true normalized things no child should’ve known, children’s brains are so impressionable and trauma like that can turn out killers. Mind you, not defending her in any way whatsoever but don’t act like this is something from the devils doing. It’s the fault of the people who raised her and allowed her to be around things like that, she shouldn’t even have been familiar with violence like that at her age.
@Queen Nové I will correct ignorance, I do not care if you said what you said, doesn’t make it correct lmao. Nobody said a killer could never be born, sometimes something in their brain is wired differently but this is a child, do you think children naturally even know about half of the thing she knew how to do naturally? No. Violence was normalized for her, and that’s what created the monster. Her parents did that. Do not pin off blantant abuse as as the ‘devil‘s’ fault.
@Queen Nové Lmao, not really but thank u for the long ass paragraph insulting me simply because I corrected you. No matter how hard you try to spin it off as though you didn’t, you did make it very easy to look like you were comparing the child to being the devils doing. It’s actually crazy how the majority of time someone murders, especially in an extremely violent way, there is childhood trauma. i study psychology and i find this so interesting
@jib jabs mcadoo it’s scary how easy it is for anyone to be a parent and they don’t even think about the impact they can have on their child’s whole future
@Nicola Doyle it’s so difficult because you look at the millions of other people with horrible childhood trauma who never do anyone any harm but I think it’s about how it manifests. Everyone is so different everyone’s brains and biology are so different that trauma has such different impacts on everyone and sadly for some people it turns out like this. I believe it could have been a mixture of her childhood and also biological illness that she was born with.
I get and understand the fact that it's interesting to you, because the story itself is crazy and very interesting yet disturbing, but, I almost feel like killers who kill in this manner who have also had a very traumatic upbringing It's almost inevitable. That's all they know from a very young age. It's almost bound to happen sadly enough.
@Nicola Doyle there is no “evil” in anyone. she just happened to not really quite understand the impact of what she was doing and/or couldn’t feel why it WAS bad even though she knew it was. definitely not an excuse, but definitely not “evil”
@Nicola Doyle That’s an EXTREMELY closed-minded way of thinking. That’s actually no better than saying mental health and support for mental disorders isn’t needed because, “it’s all in your head”. There are plenty of mental disorders with extremely violent tendencies. There are also cases to compare with those violent tendencies of people who were treated having never committed crimes, whereas those left untreated went on to commit crimes. If someone is exposed to high crime from the moment they’re born, are never corrected on it, that can mess with a child’s mental state. She was a victim of SEVERE abuse. The coping mechanism which presented itself first was trauma bonding. That, in children, is one of the HARDEST to correct after they’ve started portraying violent tendencies.
Can we talk about how creepy it is that she wrote this stuff in her day planner, amongst normal activities?! Like.. “Monday - I enjoyed putting the blade up her, it made me feel powerful. Tuesday - I had to overcome her serenity, her security. Friday - grandpa’s funeral” Like.... WHAT?!?!

If you "discipline" your child with violence you are teaching them to resort to violence any time that they feel wronged. You aren't teaching them mutual respect or how to live in the real world. I wouldn't usually defend a murderer but she was desensitised to violence completely from such a young age. There were no consequences to her, she watched her own mother pour boiling hot fat onto someone without consequence for heavens sake.

She killed and tortured a girl, laughed while tormenting a girl before stabbing her. Nope. She’s NOT the victim. I was rewarded for being able to tolerate pain. I was taught early on to disassociate from what I endured. I never did anything like this girl did. The victims are the VICTIMS. That girl is evil and she’s no victim. Shallow slashes don''t usually indicate someone trying to cause pain or prolong the event. They usually are called "hesitancy wounds" and indicate the person is inexperienced or uncertain about what they are doing. They might also indicate the victim fighting back and the killer just missing.
I'm still hesitant about this case. What about the older men who were supposedly with her, I don't trust alibi's that two suspects gave each other, and it's not impossible but a 12 year old being able to inflict all the damage without some form of assistance is a little suspect. She's definitely a monster, but I can't help but wonder if there is more to this case.
thats what i thought too .and the fact that she had to drage her by her own and not being seen after she stabed her 32 times which is physically exhausting is impossible .idk how anyone believes that .
@@moonlightbae9825 wouldn't be impossible. Killing someone tends to release intense hormones and enzymes that make the murder stronger / faster for a period of time. Adrenaline. That's why in a lot of savage cases like this, the murder can often attack the victim for MINUTES on end, something that'd be extremely exhausting regularly. Plus she stabbed an 18 year old girl, most 18 year old girls aren't that heavy. So it's entirely possible Sharon could've managed to drag her and flip her around. In 2016 I volunteered to create a memorial in my high school for Transgender Day of Remembrance, and the murder of Kedarie Johnson has stuck with me since then. He was gender fluid (any pronouns are okay) and was wearing feminine clothing on the day he was murdered. The circumstances of the murder and the way his body was dumped has led everyone to the conclusion that he was murdered due to his gender identity (even Jeff Sessions personally sent a federal hate crime prosecutor to assist in the case), yet his killers weren't prosecuted for a hate crime due to a lack of protection for gender identity under Iowa law. It would mean the world to me, and I'm sure many other trans fans, if you covered this case ❤ Either way, thank you for all the great videos!

Mind you, not defending her in any way whatsoever but don’t act like this is something from the devils doing. @Queen Nové I will correct ignorance, I do not care if you said what you said, doesn’t make it correct lmao. Nobody said a killer could never be born, sometimes something in their brain is wired differently but this is a child, do you think children naturally even know about half of the thing she knew how to do naturally? @Piano Kid then you should've known that onions are toxic to hamsters if it "comes naturally to you" 🙄
It’s actually crazy how the majority of time someone murders, especially in an extremely violent way, there is childhood trauma. i study psychology and i find this so interesting

I am a survivor and she chose to do horrible things. Torturing innocent animals. They must have suffered in so much pain! And she smiled and enjoyed it. She killed and tortured a girl, laughed while tormenting a girl before stabbing her. Nope. She’s NOT the victim. I was rewarded for being able to tolerate pain.
But again I can't be sure, so there very well could've been others with her as accomplices.
I was in Bellwood Hall with Sharon for 7 months and approximately 6 months later I was actually interviewed by Hampshire police re my so called friendship with her and my name is KAYTI!! I’m living proof how ridiculous the system is now I know that being the only other 15 year old in there we were partnered up for COOKERY WITH LARGE KNIVES AND I GOT OUT JUST SHY OF KATIE RATCLIFFES ANNIVERSARY 😳😳 I was in the Winchester Crown Court when they were presenting the case. How do feel about the victims? Any feelings for them?
+Christian Daughterty
She is absolutely responsible for what she did, but that doesn’t mean we can’t feel sympathy for a child who was tortured and repeated that torture unto others. She crossed a line there was no coming back from, and feeling sympathy and wishing things were different doesn’t preclude feeling horrible for the victim and her family.
That’s why she killed she’s obviously a psychopath but psychopaths aren’t actually all killers most aren’t but if psychopaths have a bad childhood where there abused or something that’s when they kill

She watched as her mother poured boiling grease on a person's head.....I got stuck there. I understand her outcome given her childhood.
Her mother’s torturous cruelty on her as a child and then watching her do it to someone else as she aged explains her penchant for extreme sadism. Going from victim of torture to the desire for power using torture as if to take control of her past. Also, she’s a psychopath, not schizoaffective.

Thats what happens when you’re raised by abusive sociopaths. Very unfortunate for everyone involved, especially the victims
I was all about my 3ds and sneaking ice cream at 11pm when I was that age.
Everyone should say what they were doing at that age. I was playing jacks on my bedroom floor watching high school musical 2
As a person who practices hoodoo and voodoo, we don't generally sacrifice animals for rituals. I think Sharon and her mom were just extreme and crazy. Don't demonize African religions. Other than that, this child really needed some help and she had all the wrong people around her.
While a lot of practitioners have moved away from the practice, there’s still a lot of animal sacrifice among many groups today.
Right! But also the Satan stuff confused me...voo doo and Satanic worship are totally different
I agree they don't sound like great people but who knows

Keiran Ward right?! A murder that brutal should be 25 to 40 years.
She probably got a shorter sentence cos she was a child. And her lawyers got the sentence reduced because she plead not guilty by reason of insanity. So she was charged for manslaughter and not murder
Minimum term is 14...the maximum was life. She has been denied parole and she has also been denied being placed in general.
I feel like there’s more to this story, how can two grown men leave a 12 year old girl to murder someone?

Eleanor, there's a solved case that's very close to my heart that I think you might be interested in.
