I'm here because this song is in MTB movie "Anytime". This song blowed my mind, even more than riders section. Absolute masterpiece in some many levels.
Három dal az új lemezről...mind a három a Thy Catafalque varázslatos univerzumának különböző éteri szegletét mutatja be,csodálatos ösvényeken vezetve a hallgatót. Köszönöm. Fantasztikus dal ez is,de olyannyira elkoptatott már ez a szó is rá...lélegzetelállítóan szép.
Enjoying this direction so far. From the new songs that we've heard, this album is shaping up to sound a bit more rockin' and direct to the point, still with the signature sound and feeling, but sounds more digestible, a little more focused and straight forward. Thy Catafalque have always had this incredible ability to begin a song one way, and over time organically evolve that song into something completely different by the end. However that concept doesn't especially come across as the mission-statement for this album. I dont think that's what these songs are trying to do. Which by the way I'm okay with. Then again some of the longer more transformative songs may not have been chosen for music videos. Just some thoughts. A big fan of Tamas' discography throughout.
This song is amazing, as a peruvian fan of Thy Catafalque i heard a little influence of the song "El Condor Pasa" Always Thy Catafalque music is an amazing gift for my life
Gyönyörűszép lett. Nekem egy mély, artikulált hörgös rész még belefért volna, de így is nagyon jó lett. Tegnap hallottam először ezt a zenekart, de érdemes lesz végigfutnom a lemezeket. Gratulálok!
Question for the hungarian speakers: from the final few seconds in the song it seems the "tsd" in "köszöntsd" is pronounced as /tzsd/, is that right? I never saw a cluster like that before and I thought the /zs/ would cause the "t" to have a /d/ sound too
But doesn't the final "d" make the preceding "s" have an "zs" sound instead? At least that's what my textbooks taught me should happen. I didn't even know "ts" could be considered an individual consonant, but if it does then it would kinda make sense for it to morph into a "dzs" sound when followed by a "d", no?
@@briank326 Could sound like "zs". I think it depends on accents, a bit on the word itself("sd"( =sed) ending makes it imperative) and maybe the pace. If some talks slower it might be more like a "zs".
Nice catch. You are absolutely right. This is one of the rules of how Hungarian consonants are pronounced. By default 't' + 's' are pronounced as the Hungarian 'cs'. It's called fusion ('összeolvadás'). But in this case 'd', a voiced ('zöngés') consonant, also comes into the picture, so 't' + 's' (= 'cs') will become 'dzs' instead, the voiced counterpart of 'cs', which is unvoiced ('zöngétlen'). This is called assimilation ('hasonulás').
I would definitely pronounce it as "köszönzsd", that ncsd cluster is too much. From Wikipedia: "The middle alveolar stops may be omitted in clusters with more than two consonants, depending on speed and articulation of speech: azt hiszem [ɒs‿hisɛm] ~ [ɒst‿hisɛm] 'I presume/guess', mindnyájan [miɲːaːjɒn] 'one and all', különbség [kylømpʃeːɡ] ~ [kylømʃeːɡ] 'difference'." Or I would say "köszöntsed", it sounds much better and can be pronounced easily without being lazy.
@@gutednekrofetus6665 yes, and it is pretty hard to manage them for foreigners. :) I am really interested, how our language sounds to people who don't speak it. Does it soud beautiful, or is it just strange? For me, it is really beautiful, and has so many layers, different meanings etc. A simple comma can change the entire meaning of anything. :)

It's not similar at all. That song uses hurdy-gurdy, this one redpipes, the (not closely) similar sound don't make two songs the same. You probably have a limited set of musical data for comparison, so you chose what was available: a pretty far miss.

It's been an honor to be a part of this!
thank you very much!

Beautifully played pipes.
its been an hour since repeat button s suffering
Will never get tired of Thy Catafalque sound
It amazes me that this song sounds like an Eluveitie track while still definitely sounding like Thy Catafalque. Tamas is a genius.

Every track released so far has been phenomenal! My most anticipated album release of the year.

I've been thinking the same actually! Gives me some "Meta" vibes. I can't wait to hear the whole album for sure.
I love the fusion of sound this group makes. It's like neo prog jazz rock metal lol.
And folk.
A legszebb Sūrya Namaskāra amit életemben hallottam! 🙏
This is terrific! Haunting, very Hungarian folksy at times but with contemporary sounds as well. Excellent!
every song they put out is incredible 🤘🔥
Has a slight gathering nighttime birds Era feel. Digging
In some parts I get Mike Oldfield vibes (e.g. around 2:00) which is not a bad thing. He was also Avant-Garde when he started out in the 70s. Love it.
And again, perfect!
Magnificent, can't stop lisetening, Masterpiece!

My thoughts exactly. Especially the first 15 seconds sound kind of similar.
Beautiful song.
picks right of where "Naiv" left. Like what I am hearing and am excited for the full length.
remek időzítés a nyilasban megtelő vérhold estéjén :)
