About the Director(s):
Andreas Thelander is a Swedish film director based in Los Angeles. He is a fourth-year Graduate MFA Director at UCLA and is in postproduction with his first feature film Just like me he wrote and directed. 2002-2003 he went to Stockholm Film School and his short film “Old in Sweden” was screened on the Swedish film channel TV1000 for almost 1,5 years. In 2010 he was part of the location team of David Fincher’s Girl with the dragon tattoo. Andreas has written and directed over ten short films, and in 2004, he directed his first commercial for SF Bio, which is Sweden’s largest cinema chain. He has been awarded The Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation Fellowship (2019), The Motion Picture Association of America Award (2018), The UCLA TFT Executive Board Scholarship (2019), and The Paulson Award three times (2019, 2018, 2017).

Wow! In 13 minutes this gang was able to tell a story with a full beginning, middle and a satisfying end. This was done with maybe two locations. No jump scares or witless ending.I felt this was a much longer film than a short story. Very well done! I hope to see more work from this crew.

@@carlosflores287 I was speaking from my point of view. Here in Sweden there are not very much good horror related stuff made. We are not exactly Hollywood, you see.
And mind you, I've been collecting horrormovies for about 30 years, so I've seen alot of good, bad and wierd stuff. And of course almost all of the classics, from the 1930's to the modern day productions.

This was a hauntingly beautiful film. The murders are
horrifying and yet by the end there is a hope.
The idea of a ghost trapped on the same street each night committing terrible acts was conveyed in such a way that you can't turn away.
Using a homeless man as a crucial character was a great call as we all have our humanity regardless of our circumstances.
To all the creators and actors in this peace I would say superb job and congratulations on a gorgeous piece

Conditions of the heart. Beautiful piano instills sadness and at the end, all is right as it should be.

I think every character is a ghost. I like it. It had the feel of ‘A Ghost Story’ with Casey Affleck.

Judging from this short film, the best way to finally learn English is to die and turn into a ghost...
It's more like he can be understand by anybody who listen to him. He speak directly to the spirit.
Now I know that there's more to the phrase "Drop your weapon" than meets the eye
My first online short movie premiere!! These shorts are very addicting...makes me come back for more! Nice movie...unique story that has a strong but emotional ending! Success rate from 1 to 10, ten the highest?... A plus 10! 👍

This touched my heart & my soul. There is such spiritual strength and beauty at the end of this movie & hope. You get brief glimpses of this as this homeless man’s ghost story unfolds from him, the ghost girl, the young adult lady too, all 3 were light keepers, protectors of the eternal flame; which is another way of saying our eternal soul. This light exists in all of us, but many refuse to see it or are not meant to see it because it is not their purpose, so the few that look fearlessly at it become the protectors or the destroyers of the eternal soul we all carry within us. The girls Father was a taker, he never saw how beautiful his soul or the pure soul of his daughters was. This would make a wonderful full length, ghost story movie. The end lit my soul on fire with hope and the strength to keep enduring any hardships that come my way due to the fact that I too have seen and spoken to spirits since I was a little girl and died at almost 5 years of age the first time I died and was brought back. Healers get tested constantly throughout there lifetime to strengthen them to help and heal those around them, doing so with unconditional love in our hearts, quietly and humbly, not wanting acknowledgement or fame for what we can do, we help just because we love so deeply and purely, we are here to help invisibly. Thank You, for this story.

"I don't know why they chose me. I was a homeless man who drank" I think what the creator tried to convey here is that the man WAS homeless when he was chosen to watch that street STILL A DRUNK BUT NO LONGER WITHOUT A HOME. Who chose him and why? Where are "they" now? How did "they" receive the authority to choose him?....I have SOOOOO many questions! look at what you've gone and done now😭😅🤣

Offtopic: I came by cuz of the horror short film “masterpiece”.. the comment section turned off, so I found another one to leave my observation about this video..
As regarding the short, it’s pretty well done… obviously the concept ain’t new. I’ve seen many other movie with the same concept. However, what makes this way better than the others is storytelling and the ending which was a great surprise
