Thank you lone crow. I used to do a lot of winter mountain backpacking in my youth, i love the serenity of winter camping. Such things didn’t exist, a tent, thermarest matt, good sleeping bag, mid-wt fleece and i was good all night. Never got cold, never started a fire even for 5 day trips. But i’m amazed a 4lb source heat for warmth and cooking is available now, my peak one stove is rip.
Ur vids are totally awesome. Seriously you’re funny and confident. You need and should have your own cable show on camping/outdoor gear. very entertaining and fun to watch
Danchel Outdoor is also very good. I have been considering whether to buy a stainless steel folding stove or a titanium alloy folding stove. Both of them are very cost-effective, and the price is relatively cheap among all stove brands. However, I still chose the titanium alloy stove. It is really much better to use than other stoves I have used before, and it is very convenient to carry around, just a small backpack is enough, and it is not heavy. I've been using it for a long time and I haven't had any problems, it's really great! !
This is the new version of the Danchel Outdoor Titanium stove. I'm wondering if perhaps you havethe original version with the four little legs that screw in? They also have updated this stove to have a rotary damper now which is great.
@@LoneCrowAdventures Yes, bought an old version of the titanium furnace without the latest rotary damper. However, there is no problem in using it. But it is still a pity to buy a titanium furnace to catch up with the new version. But next time I change my stove, I'm definitely going to buy a new version of the titanium stove from Danchel Outdoor. No way, he's really useful.
I really like the stove. I burned it hot the first two times and flipped the stone pipe upside down after the first burn so both ends of the pipe are tempered to curl the right way making it easier to roll the pipe into the correct shape.
So good to see you back and you were missed!! As always an informative and entertaining review of a decent stove!! Look forward to your next review!! 🥰
Glad you’re back. No worries about taking a break but I really like your reviews. The animation on this one took extra time but it illustrates your points well. I also like that it’s obvious you have used your stove not just reviewed it for the purposes of a video. My hot tent set up is not lightweight but I think I want to make the investment next year. Happy hot tenting!!!
This honestly is one of the best investments I've made in both myself and the channel. My other stove is the Winnerwell Nomad, which is a great stove but made of 304 stainless steel and weighing a ton. Any time I wanted to hot tent I'd have to drag that big stove out and my big huge hot tent that takes 2x people to set up. This little stove and the baby hot tent you see in the video van both fit easily in my pack. I can get camp set up quickly so I can easily so over nighters now. Love the stove and the tent too.

Great video and review. I love my foldable titanium stove! Not this brand, but that price is a good is this video. I was getting worried about you and the Warden. Whew! Welcome back! Hope all is well!
Thanks, honestly we needed a break. I didn't think I could keep making good videos while we had so much going on around here. We bought a house last year and it's been project and project plus overtime and work and getting sick with the "boogie virus" as well.
What's your thought on this one now ? My main concern is I need very low smoke smell as me and my equipment is sensitive to smoke. I want one like this but go with the fixed pipes and not the foil wrap set up. So basically any idea if the box it self leaks ?
If you can identify the sections that are leaking you could mark them and take it to a Welding shop to have those sections spot welded on the firebox itself.
great video! the animations in between are like icing on the cake. one question, after using both this lightweight design, and the winnerwell nomad, which do you prefer?? thanks 😊
I prefer the winnerwell as a while because it's more robust and also has multiple attachments you can but like and oven and water tank. But the nomad does limit what you can co because it doesn't fold down. For backpacking or even canoe trips this Danchel Outdoor stove is my preference.
Cheapest I found was 114.$ witch is only 4 pounds.not much heavier than titanium.and u don't have to mess with rolling up the fthe pipe.i like the video.👍
Thanks for this tutorial. EFFICIENCY TIP: Make a small (say 2" OD) riveted Ti or stainless steel tube at the REAR end of the stove 3" from the bottom. This tube needs to extend from the back by 1" to 1 1/2" and connect using a hose clamp to a flexible metal or heat resistant fiberglasstube that goes under the bottom of the tent wall to the outside and then ABOVE the snow, supported by a Y shaped stick. WHY? because it brings cold combustion air from the OUTSIDE into the firebox, and not the warm air from your tent. Much more efficient. Now there's no need to open the draft slide on the front door!
That sounds about right. I own the Winnerwell Nomad as well. It was actually my very first hot tent stove. Pretty heavy, around 22lbs. I was showcasing the little Winnerwell fast fold Titanium stove on the screen shot which remains around $499. Titanium stoves are about 75 percent lighter than a 304 stainless steel stove. 😳
@@LoneCrowAdventures I tried to look through your videos to see if you did a review on it. Were you able to review it? I couldn't find it...but then again I'm 65 and can't see.😁😂😁
I love the stove, but I am not a fan of the stove pipe. It would be easier for me to pipe sections. Don't get me wrong I love the Idea of a rollup pipe. It just wouldn't have worked for my needs. Danchel Outdoors has my money on the stove, but not yet on the rollup pipe
I like the roll up pipe actually. Its a pain at first until you get used to it, but it takes up so much less room than my other stove (Winnerwell Nomad) that uses individual pipe sections.
Объем маленький у печи ( Надо часто класть дрова в печку , я ложил каждые 1.5 часа . На улице было -12 ночью . Было немного прохладно когда дрова уже прогорали
Put the pipe on the inside unless you want to wake up to a smoky tent it seems counterintuitive. If you don't and you put creosote in that pipe and it starts to cool it runs down the pipe onto the top of the still hot stove and you have a tent full of smoke. If on the enside the crap runs ba k into the stove not on it, this is from experience.
Hmmmm. It seems like one should clean their stove pipe before that much creosote builds up. I've never had that issue on even a 3x day trip. But I'll keep an eye out.
4lbs is not light...That is a whopping 1814.3g, which is heavy for a Titanium hot tent stove...My Seek Outside Cub U-Turn is only 750g, and that is including a 7 1/2 foot stove pipe! That makes mine almost 2.4 lb or 1064.3g lighter that yours! And it packs down to about half the size, allowing it to fit inside my backpack and be taken anywhere. Unfortunately, Seek Outside have stupidly discontinued it, only selling bigger heavier versions now. I got mine used for only £120 (about $150), which was a real bargain.
Looks like way too much work. Just looking at them, I like the ones that are a box with fold down legs and actual stove pipe better. And they are only a hundred bucks.
This largely depends on whether you are basecamping in which case a solid stove is easier but much heavier and bulky. If you're backpacking or pulling on a sled a lighter compact version is preferred. Just depends what you're doing.
Good job! BTW, we updated the damper, all of our stoves have rotary damper now which will be better to control. :)
That will be a fabulous addition for temperature regulation.
I got the Whislux G1 stove to test in the snow and it performed great. The brands you know are all too expensive.

Hot tent stoves have really caught on these last few years!!!!
Folds out, that's cool. No screw on legs. I like the folding out legs!
Yea agree, those screw on legs look a bit whimpy on other stoves I've seen
I like it because it has no glass on the sides to break. Very nice budget stove. Thanks for the review.
I agree, plus glass is heavier so I'm glad it's solid side walls as well.
Brilliant, thanks. I enjoyed the review and tips. Cheers.

what features/qualities are you losing from buying this stove over a more $$o one?
Honestly the only downside is the spark arrestor which is kind of flimsy. It's very similar to a more expensive stove in terms of features.
