When I feel tired, I have to turn off the computer or TV because I was again watching videos of Kyoto Tachibana for hours until one o'clock at night. I think I need to see a doctor, I'm addicted to Kyoto Tachibana. It's like a drug. Warm greetings from Germany.
They've got to be the most videographed school band in all of Japan. Just look at all the cameras pointed their way! Judging by the sweat and red faces on the kids' faces at the halfway point of the march, it's obvious what an aerobic workout their performance is. Playing is one thing, but hopping around while you do it adds a very high degree of difficulty to it all. Magnificent as always!
KYOTO TACHIBANA SHS is my favorite world class group band, I really love the music,the choreography, the scream and there sweetest smiles with their sweet,lovely new DRUM MAJOR,I love SHS TACHIBANA!!
It's so nice to see the band back up to its true numbers, with the First Years as part of the group. I especially loved seeing the younger girls lineing the parade route dressed in the Orange and Yellow of the Tachibana Band, even down to the little white bows in their hair. Obviously future Tachibana Band members. I even saw an adult with a couple of yellow and orange flags, keeping time to the music as the band marched /danced by. I absolutely love this band.
These guys just make you Smile every time you see them!!!! The 1st year students just fit right in!!!! No doubt they worked long and hard to march well with the upper-class members! They already play well before they came to Tachibana but few had any training in marching before coming to the High School. Now they are are all proud Orange Devils!!!!!

I watched this video several times and I am always enjoyed and amazed. But right now as I am watching, I set the speed to 0.25 but no sounds and discovered a more entertaining scenario, there synchronised steps, the movements of their instruments, the beautiful rotation of the flag by the color guards and their beautiful Tachibana smiles! Look at 2:36 a short and sweet touched by Peguin to the little Tachi on the side.... I love this band !...Keep on smiling Kyoto Tachibana..no body can imitate you !...you're the best !....SUGOI !!

I’ve been watching many of the bands old videos and I can conclude that Kyoto as a community has a very deep pool of talented young people. Love the energy, enthusiasm and variety of music these kids bring with them!

The credit goes to the band members themselves, the vast majority of the teaching that takes place is the older pupils teaching the younger pupils. It's the typical relationship of senpai / kohai that is found in many Japanese organisations. You are absolutely right about their determination, their training is not for the faint hearted, apparently it's quite normal for new band members to often be in tears during training as it's far harder than they ever imagined. For the 3 years they are in the club it is THE single most important thing in their life, the more you find out about these kids the more there is to amaze you.

What separates Tachi from other bands? Tachi just Entertains the entire time they are on stage or marching. There is never a dull second in their performances. There are many reasons why their popularity has grown to this day. Among them is their (students) song selections and choreography, excellent arrangements of these tunes by the Music Director, and all their smiles (esp 15:55), reaching out to the spectators that they Really Love entertaining them. Thank you to the poster (sorry I can't read Kanji ) you have captured closeups of the members very well.
@@dadaartful The arrangements are standard marching band arrangements that they buy licenses to perform, otherwise they'd be violating all sorts of international Copyright laws. Also, it would take months to arrange say, a piano score for all those instruments in their different keys are harmonies. Maybe the order and/or the segments of the pieces selected, but I'd still bet it's the kids themselves. This is an after-school club, not a class they attend. The kids are in charge. That's why when they win all those golds it's the DM and club President that go up for the awards, never the MD. ..Joe

They postponed the Olympics until 2021, I hope the KT band will be playing there. They are Japan's best goodwill ambassadors. I know they won the hearts of many people in Pasadena and Anaheim in both Rose Bowl parades.

@@simonfung2648 It appears so. It looks as though the 1st year players are all wearing the wider stripes. I'm guessing, but I assume Asics replaced the previous design with the wider stripe one. Change happens. For instance, there are two shades of orange uniforms. The slightly pale "older" orange uniforms and the darker "new" orange uniforms. The older uniforms are not faded, just a different shade. The manufacturer of the material discontinued the "older" color and had to go with the "new" shade.

特に、１年生の仕上がり具合に感動しています。OGのお姿があちらこちらにチラチラとありますが、きっとパレード当日だけでなく日々の練習にもかなりの協力体制だったんでしょうね。
炎天下の中、全身を使ったパワフルなパフォーマンス❗汗を拭く暇もなく演奏や硬い地面上で多彩なステップを続ける姿はアスリートそのものですね‼️でもって笑顔は絶やさず、楽器を持って飛び跳ねるのは、かなりの負荷が掛かることでしょう。肺活量も集中力も半端ないですね❗凄いとしか言いようがありませんが、だからこそみんなに元気と笑顔と夢を与え、動画を観て感動し涙を流す人が多いのでしょうね✌橘さんにも、動画の配信をしていただく方にも感謝します✌

というか前進でも綺麗に出来ないのに後ろ向きのスキップはすぐには出来ないです( ＾∀＾)
それを足場の悪い所でも手の指先や全身が綺麗な形でやってのけてしまうのですからオレンジの悪魔恐るべしです。
因みに僕も密かに(笑)いろんなステップ真似をしてみようとやってみるのですがどれひとつ出来ません💦( ＾∀＾)
例えばシング×３で最後の方に中腰に拡げた両足を気をつけの姿勢に戻す際に足をピタッと揃える技もやってみると両足の踝(くるぶし)が衝突して痛かったです。
彼女たちは何百通りのステップの数々をさりげなくやってますが、日頃の修行の成せる技だとつくづく思います。

橘は他では絶対やらないバナー迄ステップを踏んでますが今年から、あの子に続け何処までもと歌う処でカラーガードが後ろ向きにステップ踏みながら、おいでおいでをしてますが、これも生徒さん達が考え出したと思いますが本当に感心しますね！

本当にこのメンバーで、3000人の吹奏楽を見たかったですね。

I’ve been watching many of the bands old videos and I can conclude that Kyoto as a community has a very deep pool of talented young people. Love the energy, enthusiasm and variety of music these kids bring with them!

They are a brilliant group of performers, so determined and talented. Great people who taught them.
The credit goes to the band members themselves, the vast majority of the teaching that takes place is the older pupils teaching the younger pupils. It's the typical relationship of senpai / kohai that is found in many Japanese organisations. You are absolutely right about their determination, their training is not for the faint hearted, apparently it's quite normal for new band members to often be in tears during training as it's far harder than they ever imagined. For the 3 years they are in the club it is THE single most important thing in their life, the more you find out about these kids the more there is to amaze you.

요즘 타치바나 밴드에 꽂혀 모든 영상 찾아보다가 아디보고 인사드립니다 ㅋ
初めてブラスエキスポに行きましたが、川があって植え込みがあって観客も多くてバンドと並走できなかったです。先回りも上手にできなくて近くで観れたのは結局3回ぐらいでした。ブルーメで初めて部員さんたちとハイタッチできたのでブラスエキスポでもちょっと期待したけどダメでした。混雑したパレードってバンドを普通に追いかけるだけでも難しいので慶次郎さんのように常に安定した奇麗な動画を撮影するのは本当に大変なことと思います。いつも有り難うございます♪
この日はお好み焼き好きなあの方とか看板を持ってたお二人とかOGのみなさんを近くで見ました。じろじろ見たり声を掛けたりする迷惑行為は勿論しないけど悪魔だったときのOGのみなさんの演奏演技には本当に楽しませてもらってるので(今後も何回でも映像見ます)、改めて心から有り難うございます♫という気持ちでみなさんの方を少し見ました。卒業してもいつまでも大好きで感謝してます。

What separates Tachi from other bands? Tachi just Entertains the entire time they are on stage or marching. There is never a dull second in their performances. There are many reasons why their popularity has grown to this day. Among them is their (students) song selections and choreography, excellent arrangements of these tunes by the Music Director, and all their smiles (esp 15:55), reaching out to the spectators that they Really Love entertaining them. Thank you to the poster (sorry I can't read Kanji ) you have captured closeups of the members very well.
Songs are picked out by the kids, and they design the choreography as well.

That I know, the MD does the arrangements of what part of the songs and sequence.

The arrangements are standard marching band arrangements that they buy licenses to perform, otherwise they'd be violating all sorts of international Copyright laws. Also, it would take months to arrange say, a piano score for all those instruments in their different keys are harmonies. Maybe the order and/or the segments of the pieces selected, but I'd still bet it's the kids themselves.
This is an after-school club, not a class they attend. The kids are in charge. That's why when they win all those golds it's the DM and club President that go up for the awards, never the MD.

They postponed the Olympics until 2021, I hope the KT band will be playing there. They are Japan's best goodwill ambassadors. I know they won the hearts of many people in Pasadena and Anaheim in both Rose Bowl parades.

BRO555 808 is it the thicker stripe for new members. I looked back and noticed thinner stripes and thicker stripes.

I'm guessing, but I assume Asics replaced the previous design with the wider stripe one. Change happens. For instance, there are two shades of orange uniforms. The slightly pale "older" orange uniforms and the darker "new" orange uniforms. The older uniforms are not faded, just a different shade. The manufacturer of the material discontinued the "older" color and had to go with the "new" shade.

Tachi's been invited to perform in Taiwan, celebrating the Taiwan/Japan relationship. I'm really curious on what music and choreography will be chosen. The audience will be, a completely different type.
カラーガードの人数が増えたら、やっぱりパレードに華がありますね。
ブルーメの丘の時に目立った音ブレも、かなり修正されたように思えます。
僅かな日数で修正して来るあたりは、流石は京都橘だなって思いました。
後は、どんどん精度を上げていくだけですね。
新入生も加わった116期生率いる新生京都橘にも期待が高まります。
それにしても、過去に比べて新入生のレベルが高いですねえ。

As far as I can tell the structure is a monument / memorial which was part of a larger roofed structure which was previously attached to the tower of the sun as part of the 1970 expo
