🦂Molto bello vedere tutte queste Band che arricchiscono "Brass Expo 2019", ma non c'è confronto con le Orange, quest'ultime in un'altra dimensione. Grande intuizione del fondatore di Tachibana Prof, Hiramatsu di non seguire la linea militarista delle altre Band, ma di creare qualcosa di più adatto all' età delle ragazze/i . Poi non si può dimenticare il gran lavoro del Prof. Tanaka (fenomeno musicale) che in 23 di collaborazione con Tachibana ha permesso alla Scuola di diventare la n° 1 al mondo. Infine il Prof. Yokoyama che ha lavorato principalmente sulla sincronia dei movimenti dei componenti. Queste tre figure hanno creato una Band musicale unica al mondo. E così di KTB ci si innamora e non si può più fare a meno. Grande KTB. Un saluto dall' Italia.
It was hard work to shoot in hot weather. There is a feature of each participating school and it is wonderful. As adults do, we can see that children are interested in KT bands. All are wonderful bands.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
These school bands are very lucky, they have that chance to perform and march together with the world best band the orange devils more power to you kids
It is surprising to see how these all kids put their best effort to excel, they all do a great job, congratulations to all of them, anyway, at the top level is Tachibana Band, these girls stand out from afar, Bravo girls 👏 🌸
These are junior high school bands. It is interesting to see that Japanese schools instill in their students such an interest in these performance probably for public display of their schools as well as teaching them the idea of teamwork. These bands also show the financial success of each school.
So nice to watch these students show their talents and at the same time have fun meeting other school band members. It's just so sad that this year's festival got cancelled due to the pandemic.

The Tachibana SHS Band is without any doubt the best. I just hope that the others would be motivated and aspire to one day be as good as the Tachibanas. .......it will be a VERY tough act to follow
Absolutely amazing to watch and hear! There’s no question who the top dog is when it comes to marching bands in Japan! You all are amazing and out do the bands in America by far!! Love it! 👍🏾
well done to all of the bands that took part for surporting there schools but I have to admit there is only one band in it for me kt will always be most watched brass band and in my eyes will always be gold
i really enjoy both the music and choreography it is just the hatred of the drums and percussion inst.'s that really get me ticked, there was probably 10 - 15 seconds and then they were blocked out.
The influence of the Kyoto Tachibana style on other bands is clearly seen. The style should spread far and wide because it is fun for the students and spectators! Of course KT is still the best because of the dedication and hardship they go though to perfect their performances! I think their training makes them more athletic too, you can tell how their moves and energy are that much higher than those with similar styles! By the way the 8 member junior band with no one leading was so cute it made me smile!
Interesting story behind Henry Fillmore and his marches, one of which I think was played by Ohgie. His father was a very strict minister, and had no problem with other instruments, but considered the Trombone obscene and sinful (really sir, he is not swallowing it) so Henry had t learn trombone in secret. So of course when he grows up he composes a series of marches featuring the trombone.
There was one more band that was not in this video. I'm sadden that it was not recorded. If someone else has it, please show it. I really like Tachibana HS band, especially their music choices. They stick to the classics. Thank you for sharing this video.
Another "Rolls Royce" performance from the Orange Devils and, as usual,followed by an absolute army of camera wielding fans,they must be the most photographed/videoed band in Japan!! Tachibana aside,my favourite was Kyoto Kogakkan Wind Orchestra doing a great job on "Brasil" I'd like to have heard the entire performance of it.In fact it occurs to me that Tachibana could absolutely murder that number - in a good way!! Do they do requests??

Bands of elementary school and junior high school students also worked hard. I look forward to growth as Kyoto has the best example of Tachibana High School.
Tachibana was the last in the parade-the best is always last! Many of these bands need a lot of work-though some of the members were really young. Some of these students looked like they were really lost! It's good to sometimes see other bands as it makes you realize just how good Tachibana is. It's not just sound, it's uniforms too-some of these bands could improve their over all performance with uniforms or some other form of dress code (not sneakers in a marching band!). How the band moves is also important, many are not marching, they're walking. The movements should be done with certainty and give the impression that each and every one of the members knows the routines. With Tachibana, Waseda Setsuryo and Izuso there's never any doubt!

Tachibana all the way! If I got a high five from one of the girls, I wouldn't wash my hands for a month! While there were other noteworthy bands, none had the richness of sound that is Tachibana. There were also a lot of bands that need a lot more work-I suspect some of them never bothered to tune their instruments. I also noted that almost without exception the drum majors did nothing but keep time. It seems like they could do more. There was one baton twirler which was nice.With all the photographers following Tachibana you know they are not just another High School band!

何十年も東京に住んでいますが、マーチングバンドは見たことがありません。関西では結構盛んな感じがします。東京と言っても広いので私が知らないだけかもしれませんが。このビデオを見て感じたのはダンスをしている学校が幾つもある中、KTは全員が「元気いっぱい、笑顔いっぱい、夢いっぱい」を体中で表現し、自分たちが楽しくなければ見ている人もたのしくないということを心から感じていることです。これをその場を取り繕おうとして無理やりやっているのではなく、どこへ行っても誰に対しても、たぶん疲れていたり、考え事があったり、嫌なことが多々日々の中であっても、ホイッスルが鳴ると、音楽が流れると自然と笑顔になる、元気が体中からあふれ出る。そいう訓練、練習を沢山しているということだと思います。普通、年40回以上の演奏、毎日何時間にも及ぶ練習、何千回、何万回にも及ぶ繰り返しという日々の中で笑顔で、沿道の人々に手を振り、ハイタッチをするというのは無理です。練習してききたことを熟すことで終わってしまうと思います。KYの存在は奇跡に近いと思います。
何度となく拝見させて 貰ってるがフィールドやステージもいいけとやぱマーチングはパレードがいいわ～
そんな中 世界の京都橘が全体の牽引役になってる感じする
いろんな団体が世界を目指して欲しい
見事に伝統と歴史に支えられた、秀逸なパフォーマンスが引き継がれていますね‼ 正確なリズムをきざむ、難しい音楽と踊りの一体化がすばらしい！ 改めて感動しました＾＾・・橘・・・最高～＾＾！
私は橘ファンですが他の学校も頑張っている姿が観れて良かったです。

とにかく、橘高校吹奏楽部の後になると大変です！ 沿道の観衆の大部分が橘を待ってる様子がよくわかりますね。 (沿道だけでなく周辺の広場も橘について移動する人で流れができている) その観衆が橘と一緒に移動しますから、ほとんど誰もいなくなることになる。 むろん、この現象は橘の責任ではありません。 主催者側としては橘を最後にする以外に方法がないです。まあ、それだけ橘の演奏やパフォーマンスが別次元で、それを見に来ている人が多いということですね。
考えてみたら、主催者も大変ですね🤔😖💦

Down by the Riverside is an American Civil War anti war spiritual. KT usually starts every parade performance with this musical selection.

京都桃山には桃山らしさが出ていて素晴らしいです。京都府は激戦区なのではありませんか?
私は雪国秋田ですが中学校マーチングで花火で有名な大曲中学校は一昨年まで全国大会連覇を続けていたが昨年銀賞で途切れたとニュースでありました。
高校となると関西が強い印象です。京都橘は飛びぬけている印象ですね。
今回は最後が桃山だったので私もどうしたのかなー? とは思いましたが皆さんそれぞれ素晴らしいと思いました。
一度チャンスがあれば生で観たいですね。個人的コメントなのでご理解ください。

橘は西コースの最後で桃山高校の後だったそうですが桃山高校が間違えて東コースへ行ったのに橘のDMさんとクラリネットの一部がついて行き慌てて
引き返し橘は他の部員さん達は準備が出来ていたため橘が先になったそうです。ちなみにプラカードも間に合わず途中から合流し裏表が逆になったとか、
ブログで拝見しました。プラカードはバスの中に忘れていたとの情報も・・・
