i think people who don't play instruments don't understand how athletic this actually is. usually with wind instruments you put all your breath into playing, they're dancing while still playing, and also without sheet music, they had to memorise everything. this is really, really impressive.
I've been in a school corps/band, our school has not attempted dancing while marching, so by the sight of this I'm just really impressed. I'm just woahh that must have taken a lot of practising. as a former clarinet player I can for sure say that they're way better.
Kyoto Tachibana High School is not a school specializing in music, but a normal three-year private high school (aged 16-18). The brass band club is an after-school club activity that any student can join. 京都橘高等学校は、音楽に特化した学校ではなく普通の3年制私立高等学校(年齢は16歳~18歳)です。吹奏楽部は、学生なら誰でも入部できる放課後に活動するクラブ活動です。
That's Japan for you. They have a belief that you choose the path you want to pursue and that becomes the one and only focus in your life and you need to honor the art of it by achieving as close to perfection as possible
I was part of the University of Oregon marching band when we were in the Rose Parade two years after them...I gotta say that they put on a much more impressive display. I'll talk up my Ducks all day but dancing like that while playing that well is actually an incredible feat, serious respect to all of them
My daughter loves music and she insists upon watching THS everyday. I have tried to surf around and find other bands to watch with her but honestly, even collegiate kids dont come close to what your kids are doing. US/EU/RU/CH/You name it, I cant find a single institution (other than military bands) in any country that out preform these kiddos. This instructor must be top notch. I guess what I’m trying to say is…., I never would have journeyed into the world of concert bands without my wee one insisting and, I couldn’t be more impressed with what y’all are doing at Tachibana. We love what you’re doing, and keep up the good work from Florida!
@@theTrend7 ouch sorry, clearly i am mistaken, my small knowledge of this school has made me look like a fool. By their english sign, I figured, "oh they must be american" but clearly i was stupid. My. Apologies
114th class section leader Comare is a powerhouse. Because there were no percussionists in 113th class, Comare has the unique distinction of being in charge of drums in both her second and third years. (For a short time at the start of school year, before 115th percussionists were trained up, it was only Comare and Chippi.) As section leader, she guided woodwind, brass, and percussion. Although her easy confidence and solid performances don't show it, she has stated in interviews that she felt a large gap between her own skills and that of her 112th class senpai. And she felt the weight of responsibility upon her. Chippi may be more well known for her exuberance, but Comare deserves a lot of respect for maintaining the quality of the percussion section.
damn as someone who was a symphonic band nerd (clarinet) throughout high school I can't even comprehend how they could play wind instruments so cleanly while literally jumping around and dancing. any misalignment of embouchure can drastically change tone and pitch. the amount of practice they must have put in is insane
It's the reed instruments that get me. You've literally got the mouth peace between your teeth. How are they not knocking their own teeth out every time they jump?
yeah, they are definitely unbelievable. On top of playing their instruments perfectly without music sheets, they have to memorize their choreography as well while bouncing all around. Really impressive.
I'm 67 years old and seen many marching band performances but never seen one at the level these students are doing. Absolutely the best I've ever seen.
I truly cannot imagine anything (realistic) that I would suffer more from than having to carry a xylophone, dance, and play the thing all at the same time. But xylophone girl looks like she's having the time of her life
As a trumpet player for 35 years I have to say this is damn impressive. That you can keep a quality sound while landing from a jump is amazing. As is your stamina to do it for 30 minutes non-stop.
I couldn't agree more. My high school band never lost a competition and for a high school band was exceptionally good, and we knew it. Now I'm not so sure. These girls, for the most part, could kick virtually any American band's butt! Shocking how good they are!!!
Guys, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Watch their charity concert at Kennedy HighSchool. I had the opportunity to watch them live. No equipment can capture the electrifying presence of these kids.
as a drummer (bass in drum line) you have NO IDEA how athletic this is. when they played happy i was in awe at how the bass section was still perfectly choreographed with brass and woodwind
Playing flute while dancing while smiling and while obviously having a great time - and making everyone else happy - sorry to all the other musicians - but I was a flute player in a parade band - and later a dancer in a parade band - so ...
8:07 I'm sure you've found out by now if you watched enough KT SHS. However, if you haven't, the flutist Kurara on the far right is doing all this with a prosthetic left leg.

The culmination of top physical endurance, musical training, countless weeknights and weekend sacrifices and parental support. They've even gone to the Tournament of Roses parade. Excellence.
The fact that some can hold a heavy instrument for so long and walk, dance and march at the same time... incredible. I could barely hold a toothpick sitting down.
Oh uh Okay .. And that is why I always support and cheer those kids/people in marching band, for their hard dedicating work. Plus, they’re always some respectable types on those marching bands. Always good hearted kids or adults that do this.
As a teacher for twenty years including in Asia for fifteen years, I can only guess at the hundreds of hours of dedicated hard work to reach this standard, and still complete their academic studies. As a Senior High school band, truly brilliant stuff. Though I'll sadly admit that I wish more senior high school students from the UK could do more amazing things than robbing bikes, terrorizing shopping malls and sniffing glue. Probably why I love teaching in Asia. Good luck, amazing entertainment.
The marching band is definitely incredibly talented, but so is the cameraman for this. He took nearly 27 minutes of continuous footage and captured the audio quality perfectly. I don't think the world would've been able to appreciate this spectacle if it were not for him.
No the marching band is definitely doing more work. The walked for that long and where blowing into and holding instruments and dancing that’s way more work. The camera could have just been an iPhone on a handheld tripod.
@@Kaodusanya I don't think that this person meant that one was more talented than the other, but that the often unsung hero (who's defo using a drone in places, as well), the cameraman, is doing one hell of a job, as well! We often forget, in productions, those behind the scenes help in bringing the magic to life. I say this as a former saxophone section leader in a multiple "Best in Show" winning, 120-person marching band. We love our techs!!!!!
5:16 the xylophone girl is on another level, and she's even marching on a choreographic manner and playing like this Good job to everyone in this highschool! They're playing all to the standards of adult proffessionals with years of experience!
Just saw this due to YT algorithm. The fact that the French Horns, the harbinger of the dissonant apocalypse, stayed in tune whilst dancing, playing, and marching is insanely good! Normally, it's a challenge for most high school bands to keep the horns on target when sitting still, let alone moving and grooving. Awesome work, Kyoto Tachibana Band!
the amount of skill and stamina to have this crisp a sound WHILE dancing AND doing it for almost thirty minutes??? and they make it look effortless... this band is amazing
The stamina, the choreography, the playing, switching rhythms from song to song, the playing itself put me on stank face mode multiple times and them smiling while doing it. Band kids are the real cool kids
My grandfather had a prosthetic leg like that. I think his leg was cut off halfway or 2/3 up the calf. I'm very impressed she can skip on it. The leg is smaller than her other one and she is not pointing her toes or moving ankle when others are so I very much doubt it's a knee brace.
Being an American and a marching band lover I believe I’ve seen it all when it comes to marching bands. I was impressed with programs such as Ohio State University to some of the top HBCU programs such as North Carolina A&T and Jackson State. And of course, DCI bands such as the Blue Devils always put on fantastic shows. Even some of our elite high school marching bands such as Carmel, Avon, and Broken Arrow just to name a few are very impressive as well. But then I discovered the Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Marching Band a few years ago and they just totally blew my mind away. They are the absolute complete total package. I am just so happy I found them and it seems like they are finally getting the recognition that they deserve.
chfunnyone1, All drum corps are marching bands but not all marching bands are drum corps...and that’s not my definition. It’s DCI’s definition itself. But that’s besides the point. Instead of insulting my intelligence, why don’t you show me or direct me to something that wows me like Tachibana, something that I’ve never seen before. I think UA-cam is a great platform for that. I’ve been to many marching band shows in my life, including those big ones in Indianapolis and I’ve spent a lot of time in UA-cam searching for great marching bands and none even comes close to wowing me than Tachibana.
You know Downey one of the band directors of the Blue Devils was one of the ones who directed this band and taught them to play their instruments while dancing. He made every show my band played when I was in high school and told us about this band and how they had to stop going to competitions because they were so good non of the other hand would get anything or win anything
idk how many people know how amazing this is but THIS IS CRAZY. Too jump and dance alone takes a lot of breath but to play an instrument WHILE DOING IT with amazing tone is crazy to me. I know the practices for these band members were hard and sweaty and tiring. Amazing job!!
I don't have words for this. I've heard HS bands but this is beyond anything I've heard before. The musical selections, arrangements, and precision in choreography are spectacular. I can't imagine the dedication, energy, and practice these performances take. Simply amazing. and professional.
I hear that the students in charge of the club carry out the selection of songs to be played, the composition of the songs, and the choreography of the dances. The music adviser teacher will help them with the arrangement of the songs they play. It's surprising that students can do so much in regular high school after-school club activities.
It's important to understand this a high school that specializes in music and the reason kids go to that school is to join the marching band. There really isn't any equivalent in the United States. Major cities in the US will have music and art-focused high schools, but those schools focus on concert music and rarely, if at all, do any marching band work. Marching bands in the US are much more local and only practice during fall for football season. To show my point I'll explain what the US would have to do to match this high school. You would take a similar population area such as Minneapolis-St Paul and form a marching band out of all the best players in the metropolitan area. Those players would then spend multiple hours each day practicing for marching band all year long. That is what it would take to match this band. The US doesn't see this kind of filtering and dedication to practice until a person gets to College or if they perform in Drum Corps International (DCI). Even then, Colleges and DCI only practice marching band on a seasonal basis, so a Japanese High School would practice more than the top marching bands in the US.
@@BulletRain100 you're missing out on something, this is just Kyoto SHS alone. Theres much more school in Kansai that can compete with this school alone and national level. Its also worth noticing that this are students, they can only practice after school and summer break. If they break the required school hours just for them to practice the band, an Education Association will surely sent them something special.
@@Akiyeok I'm not missing anything. I've already factored everything you've said. An American high schooler will only practice marching band 3 months a year, while Japanese high schoolers in schools that focus on it will practice around 9 months a year. They will also more likely practice more per day than what you'll find in the US. Japan has a culture of significant dedication towards clubs in schools and the specialization in one thing. You can see this at it's most extreme in baseball where students spend an insane amount of time practicing all year, especially at schools who focus on baseball. This high school does something similar for marching band and there is nothing comparable in the US. Major metropolitan areas like New York City will have a music high school, but they will focus almost exclusively on concert music. It's telling you need to get to the collegiate or professional level to match the dedication for marching band found in specific high schools in Japan.
As a former member of a high school marching band I am in awe of the quality of performance this band has achieved. Their hard work and dedication shows.
I seriously can't even comprehend how especially the reed instruments like clarinet and sax are even able to play while jumping. I've tried it before and it's a recipe for disaster, yet here they are doing it like it's no problem.
I was an alto sax player. Thinking about playing the saxophone and dancing like these students do at the same time is almost incomprehensible to me. I’ve seen some of their other videos, and I realize they must practice multiple different routines each year. They have a parade routine, one for the open field, one for small spaces like mall food courts, etc.
I don't know them at all, but when I watch marching band videos to Japanese elementary and junior high school students, they probably play with toy instruments in kindergarten and join the marching band in elementary school. The only thing they learn in this school is dancing. Then they match the choreography to the marching in practice.
The Pandemic affected everyone. Kyoto Tachibana HS is not the exception. Good news is Tachibana has lifted shut-down since June 1st. Let's enjoy their past performance until they come back, and we all get back the normal life.
Yes, a lot of people are eager to see this Pandemic stop, this performances have put us all in awe , especially me, as my school band took inspiration from Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band, i hope to see Performances like this more, but with my own eyes to see, and not behind a screen.
Sure, watching from Bangkok, enjoying the skill, precision and passion. Full of vitality and super good looking team also and naturally I have found favourites especially the snare drummer who plays with clarity and strength.
thats bc they dont try, mot highschoolers in america are horny little shits that are too stupid to talk to get anything cool like this done lol, hell my old school had a mass chlamydia outbreak bc they wouldnt stop fucking randoms
I played trumpet at an orchestra and we were 1st place in my country, and got 2nd place in a competition in Europe, but we never gave this kind of show!
They are beyond amazing, caring, compassionate, energetic, special, beautiful and relevant to every day we live..Most amazing marching band school ever! I love them in every place I see them..We can all learn good things from them...
As a trombonist, I just have to say what an amazing group of young musicians! The trombone secton is just flabbergasting. Just think of the physics of the instrument - to be played successfully you're continuously moving your right arm at least 1 - 2 feet. This all affects the way the horn sits on the mouth (embouchure) which makes playing consistently in tune, balance, and blending of the sound, etc - Think of trying to drink a glass of water while walking/dancing in a structured way, without spilling anything. And musically, I'll just say that if I heard them playing without seeing them dancing, I never in a million years would imagine that they were moving like that while sounding like that!
Agradecemos, daqui do Brasil! Venham tocar no nosso carnaval!
I was in the band in high school. Played alto sax. But I am really impressed by the last girl in the formation to the back on the right with the fake leg. She is really doing it. And from experience I will tell you parades are no joke. It takes a lot of endurance to march , dance and play. And she is doing it with a prosthetic leg. Champion!!
Thank you for pointing her out. They make look so easy. We know it takes hours of grueling practice and dedication to give us such a super performance.❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's not a fake, that young student really is very impressive and famous. She was in the Rose Parade and completed it. Five and a half miles. Get your head round that.
@@Guard-Reg They aren't insulting her, they are pointing out how great her performance was especially with the PROSTHETIC or FAKE leg. Get your head around that.
I thought the same thing, and it is funny because I also played the alto XD... I can't imagine the amount of effort and strength it would take to withstand a parade like this with a prosthetic. That girl is going ALL the places.

I was thinking to myself, what can you say about a Japanese High School band? Everybody is practically the same height and body build. Nobody has pink hair, tattoos, or body piercings. Their playing and choreography is spot on. Great job and dedication guys and gals. I'm sure all of your parents are glowing with pride. :)

How about how awesome Monocultures are? Multicultural countries are in ruin while beautiful Monocultures flourish. Too bad the kids are playing the putrid music from the failed state USA.
Nothing teaches young adults discipline like mastering music and in a big band setting. And adding marching on top of that just makes it so much harder. Well done!
I myself played Clarinet and Sax in an Orchestra, and from my experience wind instruments must be some of the unforgiving instruments under these circumstances. The tone you produces greatly depends on your breathing, hell some of the higher notes on these instruments are achieved by doubling the amount of air you put into the instrument and therefore going up in pitch. what I m trying to say is: HOW the hell can they play this perfect whilst doing some crazy movements. If you are low on breath whilst playing a trombone, you are unable to reach any higher pitched tone.... crazy amount of respect for these students who have to undergone some crazy training to have that amount of stamina, precision and sounding so freakin clean.
I don't play musical instruments so kinda curious how much does the trombone and that big drum thing weigh? Bcs they made it seem like it's easy to carry around.
depends, I would assume that most of their smaller instruments are metal, because the sound is very clean and that's hard to achieve with plastic. I would believe, that the bigger instruments are plastic but can't say for sure. Therefore with plastic even trombones weight only up to 3kg but with Metal it increases drastically, depending if all parts are metal and which kind is used. For drums i don't know, but i would assume those don't weight too much.
I only just discovered them through their performance at Disneyland and I gotta say that as a High School Marching Band, they're very talented and they way they perform their music with precision and class while mixing in classic Disney songs is just sheer perfection!
First of all as a former clarinet, alto clarinet, flute, and french horn player. ...my lips on the woodwind would have given out by the third song in A PARADE! (This doesn’t include the routine) Secondly you have to be conditioned like an athlete to pull off one song with the pitch, tone, and precision they have. This is insanely amazing! Can you imagine the squeaks and squeals an average band would give off trying to pull these stunts! Why are the french horn players using the concert french horns??? The band is majority girls....THEY ARE ALL BEAST!
I want to know how exactly they're able to do so much motion and still be able to play with excellent tone quality. What kind of exercises or practices do they go through to get such comfort that they're able to do all that Also, I'm a Trumpet player if you guys wanted to know
@@guy_above_me_is_ugly by deliberate practice, meaning they practice a lot. Of course, as a prestigious school/band, their recruits are already excellent musicians and know what they get into. However as one some of the documentary about this band suggest, most of the new recruits will cry at least once because of the harsh practice. Keep in mind that, this parade was not the longest they had, and didn't even include some of their most physically and musically demanding routines. This channels have some video of them practicing for just their national competition with English sub if you are curious: ua-cam.com/video/AB6-iT3CkrE/v-deo.html
This performance is the end result of some incredibly long hours of individual practice and rehearsal time. They are simply superb and they look like they are thoroughly enjoying themselves. And guess what? The audience is loving this performance. American Bands could learn a lot from these kids. The musicianship doesn't suffer because of the choreography which is pure brilliant.
There are these kinds of bands in America. There's 2 kinds of Marching Bands and 2 kinds of directors. Directors like mine, who thought Marching Band is for tradition, where fun is not just forbidden, but punished. And directors that embrace this type of marching and turn their bands into more of a show band.
American bands can learn what? Where do you think the Japanese people in this video learned it from? Lol. This is NOT Japanese culture. There are plenty of American bands that march with much more flair and impressive showmanship than this - particularly the marching bands from predominantly black schools. This is nothing new/different. It would be great if you would support those bands, because what many of them are missing are resources/funding - not commitment/style.
Also, keep in mind that many American school bands opt for the more traditional form of band for a particular purpose - a purpose which is lost in foreign countries that don't have our culture. Marching bands are traditionally not meant to be the star of the show - just a supporting act used to drum up school spirit - mostly at sporting events.
They surely have to memorize tone of each tool, tempo, movement. While memorizing all of them, they walk, dance incredibly and also bring and play those heavy things synchronously. I'm trying to imagine the situation of rehearsal and how they manage their breath
Possibly the best band I've ever heard. The complexity of these arrangements is astounding. Most college-level bands can't even play this well standing still. And these kids are dancing and doing choreography at the same time.
I wasn't expecting them to play American music. But I guess it makes sense if they came to the Rose Parade in California in 2018. What an adorable and talented band.
@Bill Bo Haggins oh my gosh get a grip. Study Japan at uni for a couple years and get back to me about how it's so perfect. Japan is unique, but it's also just another country full of imperfect people. Love it for the right reasons.
I was sent this clip by a girl on another clip and tell your sister she's not alone. I was in marching band for 5 years in school, a hundred years ago. Gave up 2 months in the summer every year so we could learn pre game and half time shows plus practice for parades. We worked hard but no where near as hard as these kids. They run 3 miles a day before they touch their instruments. They're incredible
As we all know America can be a place of very unique things, Sometimes good sometimes bad but I was under the impression I guess thinking about it , that marching bands is just an American thing but I clearly see now that it is in other places and these girls are freaking amazing. I can't possibly comprehend how athletic they are by dancing and playing musical instruments and marching, it's insane.
I’ve played the flute in middle school and high school, and though it was fun to play, it wasn’t easy. You need a lot of air, breath control, and fast fingers. Sitting and playing can be pretty tasking, but these girls are walking, jumping, twirling, etc. as if its nothing. Like bruh, they’re playing runs like a boss while bobbing their heads up and down! 🤯 Props to them!! The flautists (and all the other musicians in the band of course!) are so talented! The fact that they memorized 27 min of music is just insane on its own. Japan never fails to amaze me!!
I know how is feels! Im in middle school right at this moment and Im in Honor Band, and flute is probably the hardest and challenging instruments of all - But i got the hang of it and its a very pretty-sounding. But like o m g. .i can dance while playing my instrument like that! (Well maybe if I tried..) but there performance was out of this world!
Check out heir Rose Parade videos...even more time and 5 miles march, i think.

This is why their kids come here and take all the good-paying jobs and get perfects on the SATs. It has nothing to do with race unlike what many ppl want to think. Nothing to do with Americans not having enough opportunity. nothing about protecting our borders or jobs. It's because American children are distracted and don't have DISCIPLINE.
As a musician I can understand how hard it can be to walk while playing on an instrument. Hats off to these kids! They are absolutely amazing. Excellent!!! very good.I love ther performances.
Amazing ! What energy and liveliness, to see so many children having worked so hard at the music and memorized it all with the variety of dance movements. Hats off to the children , teachers and all who have made it such a wonderful show. God Bless You All Abundantly.
There is just one bells player and one lone piccolo player in the back corner of the band, but you can hear them sounding very clearly above all the rest of the band! That's the power of the shrill, high soprano voice on the human ear! :)
Its already impressive that a high school band can play in tune and now they're dancing! There's no way such a large of volume of students all had prior musical experience so the fact they can do all this in the span of highschool is just out of this world
I hear that students who were in the brass band clubs of many junior high schools near Kyoto Tachibana High School admire this band and enroll at Kyoto Tachibana High School to join this band. Therefore, many members have experience playing brass bands.
What you see here is due to Japanese family and school culture. Learning a musical instrument has been a popular early childhood activity that Japanese parents provide their children. Chippi, the xylophone player, for example, has played piano since age 3. As for school, all Japanese children participate in an after-school club activity of their choosing from elementary school through high school. Popular club activities are baseball, volleyball, calligraphy, and marching band. Although KT SHS has garnered a lot of international fame, most Japanese junior and senior high schools field very respectable bands. Matsue CHS, Seika GHS, Mito GHS, Toho, Waseda Setsuryo, and Izumo BHS are just a few that you can find on YT.
@@bellesogne It's the same with sports like football (soccer) in Europe and Latin America ^^ It's very common for kids to play football on the street from the moment they can walk and join a football club when they're age 5-8 something, and as a result most world class players are from these cultures
Man, this ain't your average band. The way they harmoniously play music and dance smoothly at once is so wholesome, from start till the end I'm still smiling
I played euphonium in HS, collage, Navy and Lodge bands. Long time ago--I'm 95. I'm a Sousa, WC Handy type of guy when it comes to marching bands...not much tuned into modern music and choreographed marching (dancing). But I was blown away with this all-girl band (mostly, I counted 6 guys). 15 minutes of solid playing and marching (dancing)! I don't think the US Marine Band could do that! The physical stamina is fantastic! Not to mention the effort it took to memorize both the dance routines and the music. The band has gotta' be 2 blocks long. Time delay and acoustics don't seem to bother the quality of the music. This has gotta' be a world class band!
the percussion deserves a round of applause! They're playing on beat and perfectly while jumping around with the heavy equipment!!! I'm a percussionist by heart and holy cow it was hard to play rhythmically while marching in High School. On top of that they're playing loud and proud with only 1-2 people on each percussion instrument! You could hear the bells/glockenspiel all the way upfront and in the back of the band!!

Huge props to this band! People who aren’t in marching band don’t understand how hard it is to have this good of sound while marching, and it can be very tiring due to the amount of effort is put into it.
Quick question at ur school do you get extra credit for coming to school early for practice? My mom said that she got extra credit for an extra hour because of the rehearsal every day, for some weird reason my high school doesn’t give extra credit for the time we spend outside rehearsing. I like how some people are unimpressed in the comments. Bro I tried to play the flute while simply walking to my friends house once (they lived next street over) and i was out of breath 10 houses down our own street. Man you need an impressive amount of stamina just to simply walk and play a wind instrument and these kids aren't just simply walking, they are SKIPPING and HOPPING.
It's been said that the teachers and instructors don't know how the hell they could do all the skippings and hoppings - seniors teach the juniors and they all kind of just "get it" year after year.
Yeah, I’m in marching band, and it’s not easy at all! For me I have to carry a 6 pound marching baritone, ( I’m a freshman so I’m weak) while having perfect posture and flexed feet, and locked legs . There is sliding where you face forward, while your feet are in the opposite direction, and backwards marching where you have to slide on the balls of your feet with straight legs, and there is also blocking where you March all of that in a shape of a block left or right determines A or B. All in said, it’s not easy, it’s definitely a sport, just got back from marching band camp, and I’m sore af
Watch this video again and pay close attention to the flute player in the last row on the right. Her name is Hitomi Kanamaru, “band name” in Kurara. (Google her name for her full story…hint, she has a prosthetic left leg. And she‘s my hero.) She and the band participated in the Jan 1, 2018 Rose Parade in Pasedena, CA and they marched, danced and played non-stop for 2 + hours over 5 ½ miles. In addition to their regular school work, these kids practice and/or perform 30-40 a week year ’round, so this little parade was just a warm-up for their Rose Parade appearance a couple of weeks later…note the sousaphone covers that came with their invitation to the parade. There are many of their Rose Parade videos on UA-cam.

And HOW did they practice the steps? Do you think they just marched round and round an athletics track?!

Neng Mua You obviously haven’t “seen it all” if you are calling a DCI group a “band”...

All drum corps are marching bands but not all marching bands are drum corps...and that’s not my definition.

@@BulletRain100 京都橘高校は、音楽を専門とする学校ではありません。普通の高校です。
そしてマーチングバンドは、放課後に練習するクラブ活動です。
I don't know them at all, but when I watch marching band videos to Japanese elementary and junior high school students, they probably play with toy instruments in kindergarten and join the marching band in elementary school.

Their playing and choreography is spot on.

@@zairev3438 Exactly. The crowd are showing respect for the work put in to this (which must be an insane number of hours).
Amazing energy, stamina, breath control, and all played/danced from memory! Fantastic.
Simon Engel absolutly right with you ! Congratulations to all of them !
Is that possible if they were playing while others take some rest?(sorry ,I’m not good at english but I’m so curious how they did this.)

When the music drops into the Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade theme (5:08) it brightens my whole day.
Every member remembers their crazy moves and plays the music without any mistakes. It's worth watching the whole video.
The band is majority girls....THEY ARE ALL BEAST!
oh... don't forget about the last girl with flute... she has a prosthetic leg.
I want to know how exactly they're able to do so much motion and still be able to play with excellent tone quality. What kind of exercises or practices do they go through to get such comfort that they're able to do all that
Also, I'm a Trumpet player if you guys wanted to know
@@guy_above_me_is_ugly by deliberate practice, meaning they practice a lot. I never heard a marching band play so well and the song selection was stupendous!

Props to them!!
