MCARBO spring kit with the stainless striker sleeve. Worth every penny. Smoothes out the factory set up. Smooth not light. Still “deliberate”. The stainless striker sleeve just replaces the factory plastic sleeve with a more durable material for breakdown and clean of the slide. Still my favorite off duty setup.
I did like your video and agree that I wouldn’t describe it as a "bad" trigger at all, just different. I don’t get to shoot as much as I’d like, so I never really get to train properly with any of my handguns. I switch between the Hellcat Pro, S&W M&P Shield Plus, HK VP9 and 686 S&W 357 revolver and as you could imagine, every one of these triggers are far different from each other. I will say if there is such a thing as a perfect (stock) trigger, it’s definitely and 100% the one on the HK!
Good to hear the remarks about the trigger. I thought my trigger was great but began to doubt myself after hearing all the poor trigger reviews. I installed an Apex trigger kit. Other than a "crisper" feel....I can't tell the difference. I guess I am just much of a man to notice a 1lb pull difference. Live and learn.
@Blue Line Patriot and the recoil! Let's talk about the recoil is to harsh o. The hellcat pro but so much better on the sig 365....shoot alot of conceal carry guns and every EVERY single one kicks, not a one are Sally soft.
Doesent the Apex also reduce the play before the wall? Not completely but its less than stock from my understanding. The biggest part about the trigger that I've heard is in a stressful situation, if you push the safety to the side (like under stress or what not) it locks the trigger. I also heard that the apex fixes that.
@Josh Z really good question sir. While I pray I never run into that type of stressful situation I would tend to think proper training, knowledge of the facts at hand and.....I am not a lawyer. I never noticed personally a failure to fire from a side load on the trigger like that, practice builds muscle memerory and training helps to remove bad habits by reinforcing the good habits. 👍
@@johnayotte1255 oh yeah I agree. I haven't had the issue with it yet. Don't think I will honestly. Im very calm in those kinds of situations but 13 years of USMC infantry will do that lol. Im just a huge fan of preventative maintenance and with the apex thats one thing I won't have to worry about. Also less trigger play.
😂 glad I am not the only one that has the recurring dream where you pull and pull on the trigger but the gun won’t go bang! Mine is not hellcat specific though. Very weird one for sure.
Your setup is just like mine only i have the Shield SMSc. I also swapped out the trigger with an Apex. Theres a little less travel and once its broken better the pull is supposed to be 4.5-5. I absolutely love this gun. No ammo problems yet either and I've fired a lot of different +p.
Very cool! I actually just got a new trigger but I want to put 200rds thru before I say anything about it. I'll be putting g that video out in a week or two
I have seen that case deformation as well. I am convinced it is a combination of inconsistant case wall thickness and tightly stacked magazines. As a result, I don't slap my magazines in hard anymore. I push them in firmly but slowly until I hear and feel a click. If I load a magazine now. I take note of the condition of the top round. If was undented before and I slap it in hard, when i pull it out again, the top round is sometimes dented. Those 15 round mags are impossibe for me to reload with out the reloader tool. I have some strength loss in my hands after 35 years of installing rivets in aviation. So I think someone should check the case wall thicknesses on their spent rounds for thin spots. If that is the case, someone should let the ammo manufacturers know and request they do some spot checks on the cases before they are loaded and identify the problem.
That's very insightful. You might be on to something. I do notice this with my spare mags as well. Wall thickness as well as tight mags may definitely have something to do with it. Of course, I'm slapping a mag in may also contribute to the issue.
Lol... It is a heavy trigger if you're used to nice triggers.. though for a defensive gun it does it's job! No more bad dreams plz.. though I do love my apex trigger much better.. get it in black no one will ever notice 😆.. stay blessed and ty for the great video you now have a new subscriber.. n yes federal HST and speer gold dot you can't go wrong
That trigger is dog shit. Last trip to the range I fired about 500 rounds through mine (roughly 700 in total) and the trigger gave my finger a bad blood blister. Something about that safety blade design pinches and rubs my finger the wrong way. I replaced mine with an Mcarbo and I’m dying to get back out to the range. Dry firing it is already a night and day difference.
Just grabbed one up and put the MCARBO trigger, striker and spring kit in it was great before but feels so great after. Had a buddy try it out, after the first shot immediately mentioned the trigger, Great little weapon.
I probably shot it thru.. I just can't really remember. I just don't like it thru the hellcat bc the recoil impuls is trickier when it comes to quick fallow up shots plus it prints a little different. Most of my practice is with 115gr. I'd rather be relatively pin point with that given my application. Other shooters my have a different philosophy and thats cool too :)
It's crazy but I shoot my hellcat pro better more accurately than my shadow systems mr920. I've came to love my hellcat pro since the first shots when I bought it.
I traded a shadow systems mr918 in on a hellcat pro today..I never could shoot the shadow good but I have shot and carried a Glock 19 very well for many years..I wasn’t impressed with the shadow systems gun outside of the looks..I’m hoping the hellcat pro will be added to carry set up
It's easy to keep track but there is good data you can gather but keeping track of round count /malfunctions. That's what I am doing but for your typical shooter. Yes just shoot and enjoy
I carry a Hellcat pro daily. The Trigger is very nice. I love my Hellcat, best grip of any pistol Ive held.
Very cool 😎

I've been thinking about getting that sleeve. I just ordered a new trigger with lighter springs so I'll be sure to thru in a sleeve as well
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the factory trigger. There is something wrong with the loons that feel like they need an Apex trigger.
I agree. A lighter trigger is nice but you can still do good work with the stock trigger
@@bluelinepatriot The difference between the factory trigger and any other trigger is minuet and I will bet my life on it.
Agreed, especially the loons part.😂

After 2500+ rounds. I would recommend a better trigger

Lol you make a good point. Gear queers and trigger snobs make a really big deal about the small things

I'm sure it's more common then we think. I've heard the same thing from 2 other people. So far that's 4 of us lol
Love my hellcat pro only put a 150 rounds through it so far I’ve only had mine a couple of months and it’s already my favorite carry weapon
I'm glad to hear you like it. It's definitely my favorite all time pistol
As for the deformation of the cartridges, I think that the reason for this is the tight magazine with a strong spring.
It just might be. I've found some better upholding ammo sence then thankfully. Speer Gold Dot and Magtec (JHP)s hold up well over time in the mag
I definitely feel what hes saying. My Hp just feels right
After 2500+ rounds.. the hellcat will benefit from a better trigger

What did you use to paint in all the details on the slide? Looks good!
Regular green paint pen and hopes 9 solvent
Why haven’t you changed the sights? U can’t see the sights with the plate and holosun installed.
I can lollipop the front sight for now but I never found any sights I like enough

Thanks for the feedback! I think I'll be moving to the gold dots
Where’d you get the green outlining done
I did it myself
Nice setup just got mine
Thanks man!
What kind of pocket clip is that on your magazine?
It's a NeoMag. They make a few diff kings. I've used mine for 3 or 4 years now. Highly recommend for low profile EDC
Thanks! @@bluelinepatriot

I've never had that issue with the stock trigger but for the most part I fire 250-ish on my range days. But I did change it out and it's MUCH nicer
Quick question: I purchased one yesterday, and does the slide release limber up over time?
If the gun is unloaded it will always be stiff but when you have a loaded mag in it the lever is pretty light
@@bluelinepatriot Thank you for your reply!

Very cool. I updated my trigger too. I want to get 200rds thru it and then all put out an update video
Was the trigger an east install
@sonson flavius for me yes but I'm very familiar with working with small parts and springs
Can we see it in the holster?
Check out the video I did specifically on the holster. It was a few months ago but you'll see it
How you color filled your hellcat bro
I used a paint pen to dab the print then used solvant to get rid of the access
Are you still able to see the irons with the Holosun and plate?
Yes but you cannot co-witness. I lollipop off the front sight for now
you can see 1/3 of the sights. not terrible
How did you make the logo green
I'm not telling
Why not 147 grain ?

how did you get the green letters/logo?
I filled the letters in with a paint pen, let it dry then wiped away the access very lightly using a q tip and solvent
@@bluelinepatriot it looks cool af xD what kind of paint pen?
I shoot my hellcat pro so well that i might replace my m18 I run on my war belt. I might just get a longer threaded barrel and use it on my belt.
Nice!!
People are round count crazy. You will eventually lose that round count. Just shoot it and enjoy the gun.
It's easy to keep track but there is good data you can gather but keeping track of round count /malfunctions. That's what I am doing but for your typical shooter. Yes just shoot and enjoy
Folks dumb when adrenaline running ull b thankful for a good carry trigger
I've found this gun would benefit from a better trigger
