Just tried your recipe! I was hesitant to add that much honey because of the sugar so mine came out tasting pretty egg-y... I sprinkled some Stevia and cinnamon on top and it was delicious! The texture of mine is a little more like custard, maybe I should've cooked it longer? Anyways, great, easy recipe! Will definitely make again, thank you!!
To keep it from splitting...put another pie pan underneath the cheesecake..on bottom rack and fill with water...put cake on top rack right above it...the moisture will keep it from the split...keep baking !!!..great vid
I have been making this almost everyday for nearly two years now, wanted to come back and finally thank you. I use a little stevia for sweetener as the only difference in recipe. I found in addition to making great regular cheese cakes, it also works to make a burnt cheesecake (higher temp quicker bake), and works amazing at making little crepes in a pan I recommend you try in a pan with a little ghee or butter ! a regular cheesecake also taste great hot, or later reheated crisped in a pan. as for the pork rinds crust I have done this as well. You cannot get walls of the crust as it sinks down, but you can have a bottom layer crust that tastes completely indistinguishable from a regular graham cracker crust. Mix unseasoned pork rind powder with a dash of cinnamon, vanilla, sweetener of your choice and mix with room temp butter to make a dough. Thanks again for the very versatile recipe, if you have any more ideas of your own id love to hear them!
Somebody beat me to the name of the dish. It's also known as a pie pan or glass pie pan. As a suggestion, for the keto folks who can't do the honey, perhaps try browning a stick of butter as the fourth ingredient. Instead of mixing it in you can also use it as a ganache. Cool the cheesecake down in the fridge first, maybe even in the freezer for a while, just don't freeze it. Then brown the butter in a saucepan and drizzle over the cake. Put back in the fridge to solidify.

Thanks for sharing a nice Carnivore Cheesecake recipe & demo. Hmm... I was thinking this recipe could also work well with using natural alternative sweeteners such as: Swerve, Lankanto Monkfruit, and or Sweetleaf Liquid Stevia flavors? This would avoid the problem of using sweeteners such as honey that causes a high glycemic load with insulin spike? Also, just an fyi, honey can also be considered a type of refined-sugar, because it has been refined by bee saliva.
I think you can totally use alternative sweeteners. My step mom made a similar cake (she is keto) and added stevia. But keep in mind, not to get too science-y, alternative sweeteners are also not the greatest as they can trick your body into thinking you are consuming sugar... from what I have read they can also cause insulin spikes. The honey I am iffy about, so I very very rarely consume it. Maybe 1-2 times a year.
I used to make a low carb cheesecake with just sour cream and cream cheese and a little Truvia. No crust or baking. I may try this with eggs instead for a lower carb version. No honey though.

I would guess that the thermostat on your oven needs to be set. Have you used an oven thermometer to test it? I visited my son's family and was having a hard time with everything I was baking. It was very frustrating. I told him something was wrong with his oven. We tested it with an oven thermometer and walaaaaa it was off by 50 degrees. I knew it, but he was skeptical. He was able to reset it and it worked perfectly. I'd at least check into it if I was you.
Good job. It looks delicious. I was wondering why you don't use liquid stevia or other sweeteners. I know they aren't carnivore but vanilla isn't either. Just wondering...
Thank you! Let us know if you try it. We generally stay away from sweeteners like stevia because they are highly addictive and trigger some serious sugar cravings. Reason #2 is that when we consume something sweet, as soon as the sweet taste touches our tongue our body begins responding hormonally and releases insulin. Normally, when we eat sweets that means we’re ingesting carbs that will eventually turn into glucose. As glucose enters our bloodstream insulin is there to shuttle it into our cells. Plot twist happens when our tongue tastes sweetness, releases insulin, but no glucose appears due to the ingestion of zero-calorie sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit. This can result in hunger cues being thrown off (increase in appetite, cravings) and/or can mess up our body composition. For these reasons we try to steer away from sweeteners but have had them on a rare occasion. For example, a family member baked a keto cloud bread/cake and added a tiny bit of monk fruit and we had some. Hope that helps!
@@ancestralhealing this isn't the case in all cases. Me for example. I just completed a 6 week experiment with a blood glucose monitor. One of the reasons I did it was to see if stevia would bump my blood glucose. I use it in my morning drink. 1 liter of water with flavoured stevia, vitamins and redmond's. It had no effect at all. I do a bolus of honey daily, 60 grams, ala Dr Paul Saladino and that of course caused a reaction but I was back to baseline fairly quickly. I've been carnivore for over a year now and I have no cravings, keto for 2 years prior to that and I eat with a compressed feeding window, 6 hours. I never seem to have a problem with hunger. I hope you don't mind me offering my experience on your platform I just thought it would be interesting for your followers to hear another reaction to sweeteners. By the way I am impressed with your knowledge of the science of carnivore. It's nice to get a good recipe and some sensible advice.
@@ancestralhealing There's only a few sweeters that spike blood sugar and they are xylitol and maltitol. You need to get the facts straight before stating it on the internet.
@@ancestralhealing I believe I tried a number of "cake" recipes. I'm currently not carnivore now but I did lose a lot of weight with that diet. I found high fat to not be as conducive to effective exercise as carbs.

The swelling in my feet an legs an discoloring in legs could be butter related. Had to cut salt way back seemed to help. Should I do just meat? Thanks!
You need to invest in a oven thermometer, every oven varies in temperature
The pan your using is called a pie plate.
Could i make it with greek yoghurt?
@@ancestralhealingWow. I love your use of the words "shuttle" and "plot twist". Finally, I understand these concepts. Thanks so much for your answer!
@@ancestralhealing That’s an AMAZING answer 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻‼️
From the video it looks like you are using whipped cream cheese, is that correct? Or is it on whipped thank you
It is not whipped! Just regular cream cheese :)
Would love to see this done in an instant pot to see the results.
That would be cool! I will have to try.
@@ancestralhealing Try 25 minutes on low pressure and natural release. It's how I did it but with monkfruit instead of honey.
Using Xylitol or Erythritol as a sweetener means you could enjoy this every day.
When I got rid of drinking milk my sinus trouble went away. I do some organic cheese and pasture raised butter.
Yes milk causes sinus issues for me too
Have you tried getting an oven temperature thing that really works to
No! That is a great idea though especially when using different ovens.
Hi ,I’m in the uk and wondered what type of cheese is in the cheesecake .? Thank you
Cream cheese
Nice recipe 😋
And you are really cute
Oh thank you! Glad you enjoyed the recipe.
Gonna try this but I'll replace cream cheese with cream, collagen powder and whey protein powder.
I didn't add enough sweetener, added too much salt and the cream didn't' work so well lol.
Did you try it again?
@@ancestralhealing I believe I tried a number of "cake" recipes.
I'm currently not carnivore now but I did lose a lot of weight with that diet. I'll consider it part of my health repertoire if I want to trim up my weight any more.
I also noticed it improved my metabolism with carbs.
I found high fat to not be as conducive to effective exercise as carbs.
No dairy while making a cheese cake? Good recipe
It has cream cheese!
There's cream cheese and butter in it.
Can you tell me if you used regular oven settings or circulating air? I followed every step in your recipe but mine deflated really
I used regular oven settings. It deflates completely, but still tastes delicious.
most solid and fluffed egg masses such as this deflates after cooling to keep the loft you desire i would suggest maybe some baking powder might help it keep it's height some. but it's just an idea.
Has anyone tried this with a spoon of coffee rather than honey or vanilla?
Hi! I’ve done this cake twice and for some reason mine doesn’t get the “crazy” spikes :(
It taste delicious though...
I wonder why. It might be the temp of your oven. At my moms house the cheesecake gets even crazier spikes but at our place they are not as spiky. Glad it tastes delicious though :)
I wonder if humidity or altitude makes a difference too 🤔
How much sweetener was added???
I thinkni follow you on Instagram. Following here now. Thanks for the vid. Trying to work on having carnivore quick snacks
You got this!
Where do you get the non alcohol extract??
Monkey Fruit works also.
