I’ve worn a Sacroiliac Hip Belt to help stabilize the SI joint so I can exercise and release the tension in the muscles. After it releases and I’m stretching the pain does go away. However, long term chronic illness such as ankylosing spondylitis, this is not a long term solution, there is a lot of residual pain from disc herniated. Exercise is the only solution, once you can control the flaming pain by heat treatment, and building muscles around the spine will keep you going.
I work in an office. I have an adjustable desk top for my computer because sitting for too long will aggravate my sciatica, which I have on my left side. When I stand to work I try to stretch out my legs. I do several different moves like lifting my leg straight forward then bringing it back. I don't have a lot of room, so kicking my leg out to the side isn't a move I do. I do it at home however. I've had sciatica on and off since the 90's, but its gotten worse because of my weight gain and desk job. I'm 51 and this is the first office job I've ever had. All previous jobs over the years involved some kind of physical activity. But covid really screwed me up and for the past 2 or so years, I've been slowly trying to get back on track. Losing weight will help and getting more movement has been helpful. After getting cellulitis in both ankles/feet two years in a row, I am more determined to get back in shape and start taking better care of myself! Sorry for the ramble. Very glad I found your channel!
I did your program and I’m still the same the Dr had recommended surgery he said it’s one of the biggest hernias he’s seen in a while, but I gave your program a try. Now I’m scheduled for surgery in August I’ve been like this for 8 months and I tried everything even holistic treatments. I can’t take this pain anymore though. my toes have been numb for 8 months and i feel a lot of pressure in my toes it’s terrible.
Have you had your surgery yet? I hope you do well and please update with your progress. I am going to talk to the surgeon on what to do next. My health keeps declining.
I hope you're getting better. I haven't hear much good results from surgery. My mother had three. Got worse. My fsther had one. Got better. But didn't go away.
I have abused my back in honesty , i think I am superwoman and can lift , climb, stretch and do anything I feel like , unfortunately I have some pain from heavy lifting, I walk everyday and consider myself fairly fit . I now have been knocked off my perch and have to find a way to be gentle with myself and this video is very useful. Thank you
Thank you for the review. I am on this journey now and before I knew what was happening, I naturally went to these movements. Time and patience and meditation are also effective meds. Be blessed. May your journey be purposeful ❤
I've been suffering from sciatica and have been talking to a lot of people to try and find a solution, and everyone I've talked to has dealt w sciatica. Physical therapy or surgery have been the 2 most frequent answers. Many have been helped w PT

What inflames your body is high insulin and cortisol. Get off the carbs. 1. I had a beginner sciatica and began a home yoga stretching program to release the hips. Look up "Yoga for sciatica." 2. Balance issues are due to sitting in chairs all the time. two years ago I started beginner ballet barre at home using the back of a chair. It was tough. Ten minutes of it and I hurt. I stuck with it twice a week. I can now do these beginner exercises much better. You need to do "releve" for the feet to get some muscles back in your feet.
I have experienced intermittent sciatica for years. Recently, i started doing heavy RDLs off the rack (just below knee height) and it's been amazing. Back pain is completely gone.
Good one, I am in Sierra leone West Africa. I ve suffering from this pain for more than two years now .A part of the exercise is their drugs to remedy this condition. Doctor
Thank you for this- I've completed a round of p.t. and dry needling (which did help! ) but here I am :( really wanting to ensure I'm performing movements properly. I appreciate this!
The non pill treatments such as good and icing help to alleviate inflammation and pain. The reduction in pain allows me to be able to do the problem solving exercises
I have an 83 uncle that suffer horribly with sciatica and he was in Mexico city and someone recommended a great traumatologist doctor there, he froze some nerve. It was a 30 min proceeding, local anesthesia, it is done in a good hospital. 2,000 dollars. Everything included. That fixed the pain on his sciatica and I think on his lower back.
I suppose it depends on what causes your sciatica. That first exercise causes an intense increase in the pain and electric feeling shock down my left leg all the way to my toes. Feels like I was hit with a stun gun in my low back, hip, and butt.
I totally appreciate your videos I've been following you for the last 3 months now and finding how effective your remedies are that are working for me at my age and with hip replacements 😊 I definitely know it's sciatica now LOL😂 please continue educating us with the truth❤
I have been living with brutal bi-lateral sciatica pain for 1-1/2 years and seeing a PT for over a year. I have learned more about healing in the past 2 evenings than all of that time. The PT I've been seeing is very qualified, we just have not been able to find success. Thank you!
I had a bad flare up of this in 2 feet about one year ago I could not walk for 3months could not get out off bed or walk at all sciatica and I would cry everyday because I did not like to not depend on anyone i am still suffering everyday with this it did not go away completely. I am not walking strong enough I still feel like I am wobbly and feel weak on my feet. I fell down one month ago and busted my head. Now because of less movements my BP and BSugar is higher . I used to walk a lot and excercise actually this sciatica started after a 5K marathon run.
I've had 2 spinal surgeries in 2 years.Cervical and Lumbar fusion.I now have foot drop and nerve damage.18 months later pain in the leg is back and quite severe.Someone suggested Rhyzotomy .Any advice on that ?
those could maybe be involved, but sciatica is a neuromusculoskeletal disorder and by definition is mechanical and movement based, not nutrient/mineral based.
Thank you I just finished 12 weeks of physical therapy I've been having burning pain down my spine L4 L5 disc herniation the physical therapist recommended that I put oil throughout the day 2002 anything but numbs me even though I'm finished my physical therapy my next step is a steroid injection also I was told not to put heat on an inflamed nerve 10:34
It took 3 weeks to go away I took (Tylenol 3) for pain at first the pills 💊 then when the pain started to go away little by little do exercises for ur lower back and rest a lot of rest stretch side to side hold for 5 seconds then rest soon it will go away I will put my elbow on the table then race my legs backwards to work on the muscle of your butt and keep on doing it the sensation of your lower back eventually it starts going away and that's how I stopped the pain sciatica to go away for good know my back feels better better I'm running doing everything
Thank you for your most interesting & informative videos! I've been dealing with progressively worsening lower back issues for the past 20 years (I'm 61). I've had numerous injections (more epidurals, both lumbar & transforminal) than I can count, facet injections, SI injections, a full dozen RFA's. MRI's and just about every other type of procedure (diagnostic as well as physical) one can think of from my PM doctor, including prolotheraphy, discogram, etc. These are all post bi-lat L5-S1 fusion, bi-lat SI joint fixation + L fusion & L piriformis release, and current opiod treatment. Im still in the upper levels of the pain scale and a positive EMG/NCS for L3-L4, 4-5 & S1. I also have spondylosis, several bulging discs (one with tears), and Schmorles Nodes. The pain that used to stop at my knee now goes down to my toes, and the 'sleep' feeling/tingling, pain, and foot/ankle giving out on me is making walking with determination difficult which makes overall healthcare difficult. However, my PM doctor (licensed and very quality of life focused), which I appreciate, but my quality of life, while I'm not looking for miracles, I am sure my current condition can be improved upon, is waning he insists continuing injections rather than referring me to a neurosurgeon. I dont understand his thinking, and without a referral, seeing a specialist is next to impossible. What does one do when it gets to this point? I don't want to live the rest of my life on medications or 3-4x a year injections, which have built up a healthy case of scar tissue. Any information you can gleen from these ramblings and light you can shine on this would be most welcome. I wish you continued success in your practice and look forward to more of your videos. Peace, and all well.
For years now I put an ice pack in back of waste band if I've been on my feet for a while and I know my foot is going to start burning. It seriously nips the foot pain in the bud. For me.
I suffered from sciatica since I was 10. At 40 I had an episode inwhich I couldn't move for 3 months. I asked my wife to massage my sciatica. That resolved my issue. Even with 4 bulging disc's. My back doesn't hurt anymore.
@mrpentium Yes, sciatica can cause lower back pain that radiates down the buttock and back of the thigh. The pain can vary from a mild ache to a sharp, burning pain and can feel like a jolt or electric shock. It can be worse when coughing, sneezing, or sitting for a long time.... if you're not a doctor . Please keep your comments to yourself. Sciatica pain can be almost anywhere along the nerve pathway. It's especially likely to follow a path from the low back to the buttock and the back of a thigh and calf.
What about those of us suffering with an acute disc prolapse and there's no way I could bend even a little - never mind get down on the floor to do a cobra? Surely this is only for prevention of further episodes?
This I have but mine my pain is at night when I I go to bed and all hell breaks loss I am all over the bed at, long way size way across the bed with my legs hanging of the bed! I have try everything but my Dr. has been the only one to help shots.
I’m in week two. I really have never had such pain, and I’ve had cancer twice. My PCP put me on a muscle relaxer and gabapentin. No help there. I find myself crying because I’m truly in excruciating pain.
Hold tight bud ...I was at this point a couple months ago ...thought life was over ...don't give up ...I'm 3 months I was prescribed the same thing ...I'm able to exercise and address what I need to do for myself now ...still numb in my legs after sleep sitting etc ...but up and moving I feel almost normal .
Hi, I can not stand up without the support of a walker, if I stand for more than 30 seconds my thighs and knees go into stiff mode. When I try to stand or sit l feel like my thighs and glutes ligaments are ripping apart. 6 months ago I was running and walking free from pain. Now my glutes, thighs and hips lock into stiff mode. Can you please suggest excersises to do in sitting mode. After an MRI, the doctors just say keep moving, but I experience so much pain when trying to walk inch by inch with a walker, kind regards
As someone who has herniated the same L4/L5 disc twice now and 37 months of the most horrific pain before sugery and now years later 7 months in and no light at the tunnel. Most aren’t unlucky enough for the sciatica pain to be chronic. A much smaller percentage, it doesn’t destroy your mental health until you realize it’s not getting better, and that every day this is what you get to look forward to with no healing. Totally different ballgame. Also bulging disc are much less likely to cause significant pain than herniated. My point sciatica is not sciatica.
I am able to do all those quick test and I did easily without difficulties. Does this mean that this is not sciatica? The symptoms are the same. I do walking exercise then and now but i felt this only lately.
When you're in pain, it's better not to do exercises which hurts wait till the pain is gone and then do the exercises That's what my chiropractic told me .. Wish you well
Rest! Rest! Rest! Never force your body when you have pain! You want to train your brain by finding any relief you can and stay there. Research neuroplastic pain, it’s helped me enormously during mybsciatic pain
I have horrible pain 10 years and something shifts I have no pain and can do 100 sit ups .. then it pops and I can barely do one sit up and second gess picking anything up off the ground ..it's a real nightmare I have had 7 spine surgerys and 10 cortisone shots in 6 years ..not fun it's ruined my whol3 life
Hi. I am 70 years and have chronic pain for various reasons including sciatica. I do not have a cell phone to text PAIN to you but I am interesting the content you offered if I did text you. Is that possible? Thank you.
Those special tests aren't relevant too. They haven't mentioned what really causes sciatica. They haven't talked about upper limb posture in relation to pain. This video isn't complete explanation because they are concentrating only on the lower back.
Hello, I would love to know once and for all When I walk or exercise my gluteal muscle starts to seize. If I continue to walk or exercise, there is no pain but the leg starts to fall asleep and it continues until I bend over and do squats at the hips and then it goes away until the next time. To emphasize, it's not pain at all, but a leg that falls asleep - sometimes, subject to the continued effort I make, it happens in both legs. By the way I can walk on my toes and on my heels, can lift my leg straight up in the air and can also move my leg from side to side without any pain. I'd love to know what it is - I would appreciate an answer, thank you very much
I have had pain since January. Right leg top of my hip is a knot. Then it goes just below my knee. Then my back half of my left foot is constant pain. My family doc gave me 25 MG of methylprednisolone why did that rake the pain away???
I’m undergoing sciatica treatment using DX9000 with a Chiropractic Doctor in Orchard Park, NY. I’m done with the 2nd session…so far feeling a bit better…more sessions to go. He has a lot of satisfied patients…must be successfully good ..👍 ❤
You are great sir but in my case my shoulder muscles were dislocated and as I am correcting that I am feeling centralization and now I can bend and still not able to even sit but I think even that will get better soon .❤
My chiropractor showed went over x ray w me and my right hip is lower than left. Put a lift in my right shoe, now l have so much pain in right leg on top of sciatica. I hope it gets better and this is a good protocol
Okay so pineapple and banana are high in sugar how's a diabetic supposed to benefit from that. What will happen is a spike in insulin which is not good, so what would be another
I have DDD and already had a CSV from the C4-C6 area. It was found out a year ago my L4-L5 is starting to compress the nerves. And since I suffer from tremors, a pain blocker is out since they administer it similar to an epidural (never had kids but still) and I don’t want to chance getting paralyzed.
At the beginning of my herniation, I placed a hot pressing iron over a towel on the lower spine. I nearly went crazy. Felt my never start vibrating all the way down. Didn't make the mistake again.
It hurts more to bend backwards its like it has a pulling sensation in my leg so i have to walk around bent over which i know isnt good either. What do i do
I'm in South Africa I've been suffering from sciatica for 6 years is it advisable for me to go for surgery because nothing seem to help and the pain is on 9 over ten all the time
what if you get pain front of quads mainly? also outer calf. is this facet joint syndrome because its like 50/50 when dr say its bulging disc or something else
even u r heal and r u feeling okz bt i suggest to u give minimun 1year body rest then u can back to normal life and never forgot to do yoga or exercise everyday
I had sciatica pain for about 2 years . two days ago I tried to lay down on the floor and gave a large blackroll under my pelvis . i was watching tv for more than an hour . when I git up it felt different. next morning i could not believe , no pain . I suppose there must have been a compression caused by hollow cross. I don't know , may be it could help to others.✊🏼
I had sciatica for 4 years pain everyday on my left side then it went to my right side😢I did physical therapy for 4 years it did it work then I got injection done last month and my back and legs still hurt😭🥺
All that tip toe and heel walk are waste of time, I can do all of that no issues but I have two bulging disc and spinal stenosis witj degenerative disc with tons of pain but I can do those heel walk
I drank some pineapple juice a couple of months ago and thought I never walk again. I was in pain. My sciatica is so bad we have a huge horrible hurricane 🌀 on the way and my ass is acting up so bad . I am in zone A so i need to leave. This sciatica is really a killer.
Boswellic acid! from boswellia serratait is actually a tree that grows in your country India combined with proteolytic enzymes like bromelain, serrapeptase, nattokinase.. that's how I fixed my herniated disc L5 S1
Her dietary suggestions are really terrible. I'd maybe begin with a ketovore diet and possibly progress to the carnivore diet. Meat has all the necessary amino acids and vitamins and minerals necessary for healing. I would also suggest weight training and using a treadmill to walk on every day. I'd find several very sensible sources of information regarding weight training so that it's performed correctly.

Exercise & stretching have helped me greatly. I still occasionally do deads & rack pulls. No more burning or numbness & electrical miseries

Dr Berg suggests that sciatica is a result of a copper deficiency. I’m trying colloidal copper and beef liver. I pray it works!

Thank you for sharing! 😊
Three weeks! Aren't you lucky! Man, I wish mine would go away. It's been months.

Would you know if a TENS unit will help ??? Thank You in advance.
H Wave helps me .
Thanks you very much for the information
I am able to do all those quick test and I did easily without difficulties. Does this mean that this is not sciatica? The symptoms are the same. I do walking exercise then and now but i felt this only lately.
Thank you for your content!
I tried the cobra exercise for my lower back pain and sciatica the pain got worse and worse. I don’t know what to do.😔
When you're in pain, it's better not to do exercises which hurts wait till the pain is gone and then do the exercises
That's what my chiropractic told me ..
Wish you well
DO NOT DO THE COBRA
REST REST REST
Because sciatica can have many causes..and if that cause is disc compression then cobra can make it worse
Well balanced out review 👍
What about when the sciatic pain is bad ? Do you rest or stretch ?
Rest! Rest! Rest! Never force your body when you have pain! You want to train your brain by finding any relief you can and stay there. Research neuroplastic pain, it’s helped me enormously during mybsciatic pain
I REST
I don't do COBRA
I have horrible pain 10 years and something shifts I have no pain and can do 100 sit ups .. then it pops and I can barely do one sit up and second gess picking anything up off the ground ..it's a real nightmare I have had 7 spine surgerys and 10 cortisone shots in 6 years ..not fun it's ruined my whol3 life

Great videos!!
As a heads up , looks like there’s bad media at 12:30 , 12:55, 14:44 and 16:36. I’m in Apple TV, incase it’s works on other devices.
What are you on about? Please explain
Hi. I am 70 years and have chronic pain for various reasons including sciatica. I do not have a cell phone to text PAIN to you but I am interesting the content you offered if I did text you. Is that possible? Thank you.
Red light therapy?
Anything passive is meh
Those special tests aren't relevant too. They haven't mentioned what really causes sciatica. They haven't talked about upper limb posture in relation to pain. This video isn't complete explanation because they are concentrating only on the lower back.
Thanks bro Thanks
I have this sciatica right now 😢
This is bad illness 😢 never seen ever my life 😢 ah ah
Greeeat Explanations.... Thank You❤❤❤
Hello, I would love to know once and for all
When I walk or exercise my gluteal muscle starts to seize.
I'd love to know what it is -
I would appreciate an answer, thank you very much
Great video, thank you so much ❤
I had it ...but I did a few stretches and it worked and never came back
I have had pain since January.

What will happen is a spike in insulin which is not good, so what would be another
Thank you🙏🏼
You're basically fooked if you a bulging disc and spinal stenosis at the same time.
I have both? Is there no way i could do deadlift in my lifetime?
not fooked at all. These have very good prognosis. We fix disc issues every day, and many cases of stenosis can be managed.
Research Pain Reprocessing Therapy ie Neuroplastic pain. Life changing when dealing with sciatica
At times you don’t know who to believe… Each Dr. is saying something different. Some say use heat , some say use ice. Crazyyyyyyyyyyyy
Thank you content

Forward leaning pelvis. Puts pressure on quads causes knees to buckle a bit which puts pressure on shins/calves
I found picking up a light chair is better for me if I pick it up behind my back.

I suppose there must have been a compression caused by hollow cross. I don't know , may be it could help to others.✊🏼

Not a waste of time at all. They are looking for neurological deficits. This quick screening can provide a lot of information.
@@rehabfixI can do those too but I def have left sided sciatica 😢
I drank some pineapple juice a couple of months ago and thought I never walk again. I was in pain. My sciatica is so bad we have a huge horrible hurricane 🌀 on the way and my ass is acting up so bad . I am in zone A so i need to leave. This sciatica is really a killer.
Good video
Good explanation
RehabFix, the word is sci-atica not sc-atica
Everybody has their critics but if it helps anybody then that's good if not just move on simple.
Sir i am from India i having this problem since 4month how can I remove this pain from my life 😢 please suggest me
Boswellic acid! from boswellia serratait is actually a tree that grows in your country India combined with proteolytic enzymes like bromelain, serrapeptase, nattokinase.. that's how I fixed my herniated disc L5 S1
