    If you're suffering from sciatica pain and looking for fast relief, you've come to the right place. In this video, we'll share with you the best stretches and exercises specifically designed to alleviate sciatica pain symptoms quickly.
    WHAT IS SCIATICA?
    Sciatica is a condition caused by the compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve, resulting in intense pain that radiates from the lower back down to the legs.
    The most common causes of sciatic nerve symptoms are a bulged disc, degenerative disc, stenosis, SI joint dysfunction, or tight muscles in the deep hip.
    HOW TO TREAT SCIATICA
    If the cause of your sciatica pain and symptoms is an irritation to your sciatic nerve, the treatment is to eliminate the irritation and free up the nerve!
    This can be done by a series of stretches at different joints that results in a technique known as “nerve glides” or “nerve flossing”. Basically we’re going to stretch the nerve in different areas of the body to “floss” it out of the area of irritation.
    This can be done seated, standing, or laying down on your back depending on your specific ability, pain, and strength levels.

      I had a incarcerated femoral hernia and after surgery my sciatica came back with a vengeance, like almost I’m tears pain. I started searching on UA-cam and found this video. All I can say is thank you, my relief was almost instant after doing these stretches.

    First of all- I never comment on any videos of any sort. But I have to now.
    I hurt my lower back in the gym. Sciatica ensued. For a week I suffered sleepless nights. Miserable days at work, and constant PAIN.
    I dropped $150 on a massage. $75 on a chiro.
    No good result. Pain worsened. I watched this video a half hour ago. I tried the seated exercise first. It was intense at first but my pain IS GONE. The numb sensation in my leg is almost gone. I feel back to normal now.

    For months I've been having sciatica problems. I've been to several doctors who do nothing about the pain because when I ask for help they just tell me I'm drug seeking. I've asked, repeatedly, for physical therapy referrals (it took me 6 months to get someone to get me a referral to acupuncture and I don't know why because that's not even a medication). In the last 5 days the pain has been so bad I haven't been able to sleep and I can barely eat. Just doing one of these stretches helped more than any doctor/pill I've tried in literal months. Seriously, why does anyone go to doctors for anything? UA-cam is more helpful.

    Incredible. I have had sciatic pain on and off since having my first child 2 years ago, now that I am pregnant again the flare ups are happening more often and worse. I couldn’t t get off the floor last night. But this, this video is incredible. Pain subsided after doing each exercise for 2-3 minutes. I plan to continue throughout the day but just in 10 minutes I have more movement in my entire body.

    I did the first of these exercises 5 minutes ago and the sciatica pain was gone and I have been suffering for about 3 months on and off. I will try the other two exercises and see how that goes. You know your stuff.

    Have been suffering from sciatica with much pain in my right leg for about 10 days.. I normally average 10,000 steps a day, but since this started, I can't be on my feet much at all. Decided to look on UA-cam and thanks so much for this video. Did the last part of video on my back and almost instantly felt some relief yesterday. Have continued those exercises today and doing even better. Thank you so much! I have a Dr appointment scheduled in 8 days and right now I think I will be able to cancel it. Again, Thank You 😊

    I found you again! I've come to realize I don't have a pulled hamstring I have sciatica because it starts at the very top bone of my behind and ends deep into my calf.     I've had glute and sciatic pain for over 2 months (from sitting too much) and your videos have been extremely helpful. I've been doing the exercises and stretches every day and am finally pain free for most of the day (some tightness when I first get up still). I was happy to see this new video out and found it helpful as well. Your videos are concise, informative and helpful with good sound/filming/editing as well. Thank you!     I have been dealing with sciatic pain for almost seven years now and the only stretch I have found to keep my sciatic pain away is the cobra pose. I know everyone's situation is different but I hope this helps some people out there dealing with the same pain as me.

      The cobra really helps if the pain is caused by a bulging disk, but if it’s something else, the cobra can make it worse.

    Wow! I saw a video for reducing sciatica pain and it required crossing the non painful leg across the leg that hurts. I could barely do it and had no idea why my non painful leg was hurting. This video explained it all! I'm NOT crazy!!! lol I also sit in a twisted position like you mentioned, so that may be the cause of my problem. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise!!!

    can we train with bodyweight ( with or without dumbells) during a bulge disc recovery/ sciatica pain? Or we let it heal with the respective physio exercises? And after healing slowly introduce bodyweight training before returning to the gym as before ?

    I have been suffering with sciatica for years now. It gets worse when I sit for extended periods of time which I do a lot of when ubering. I have been doing professional massages and recently began visiting a chiropractor(all of which help) I have watched these video exercises and will try them all tonight at home. Great for at home!     These ankle pumps work wonders! I have done all sorts of exersices, they all work more or less for just a few minutes. But after 3 sessions with the ankle pumps i took a painfree walk for the first time in 3 months! Thank you for this video! It's a life saver! ❤🎉

    Thanks for your video. I currently have this problem of Sciatic Nerve Pain. Before coming across your video I have been doing a touch-the-toe exercise. I would just stand straight, bend gently backwards and then forwards. Each time as I bend forwards I would either feel tightness and pain on the back part of my hip or I would feel more comfortable and little tightness. Each time I feel comfartable and little pain I would further bend forward as though to touch my toes. I would like to ask you whether my exercises would be helpful? So far it helps, but I do hope to find how to permanently rid myself of this sciatic pain. Thank you.

    I started sitting on an exercise ball at work (at the computer) and my sciatica which I have had for 4 years went away! I’ve been sitting on the ball ever since. It really works!

    Im 60 and in 2019 is when it started.. I fell asleep on night and slept in an awkward position and when I woke up both my legs were completely numb, and my left foot was paralyzed..
    A few months after that after being in so much pain and not being able to walk, somehow managed to have an incident that caused my sciatic nerve in my right hip to become unbearable .. and since then I go in and out of having severe sciatic nerve pain to the point where I can't even think straight I can't stand I can't walk I can't sit , I can't stay in any position for any length of time..
    And today it just came out of the blue and the pain is so bad then I looked on UA-cam for something anything to help, and yours was the p third video I looked at ..
    I did the first exercise and well it didn't take the pain away completely, it took it down to a point where I felt like I could breathe again.. I plan on trying all the exercises, so far your instructions on exercising has been the only thing that's helped.. thank you so much!

    Tried the chair method, and couldn’t get the leg and torso upright enough so I started the standing method with a box(6inches tall), but just after doing 10 or so reps I can do a sit to stand with minimal shock waves down my left leg 👍🏽 I’ll update in a month or so to see if it keeps getting better. Thank you sir.

    Awesome !!! ..will work these asap... extreme pain on left side as you present the exercises too. I don't do any drugs for pain. Have a new chiro that's helping too. Thanks for this simple yet right on point to sciatica !!

    Iv tried lots of and different ones . Some help but the pain comes right back in just few minutes. It fluctuates from time to time, but none of the exercise last more than a few minutes.

    The last one it's like magic.
    10 min ago i was in chronic pain in my left leg due to sciatica problems, then i tried the last Exercise, and guess what... wow the pain disappeared in a few seconds, so i wanted to say this: Thank u so much doc for helping a lot of people, we Really appreciate, Because you really do a great job and make a positive impact in people's lives. ❤️🙏🏼

    i've had some numbness in my left leg but also some twitching in my calf muscles at rest. doc sending me for an mri on my back soon. but would these exercises be useful?

    I think your stand up stretch did the trick, I’ve tried a bunch of stretches I got like a pinched nerve hurts super bad it’s been getting better slowly thanks for this video!

    Left side sciatica includes numbness in left foot. Slight symptoms in right side, too. Can I use these exercises, Dr Jared?
