lying in bed in my freshly completed Renault trafic conversion and watching someone else work for once is definitely a satisfying way to spend my Sunday morning.
I had my own Renault conversion that I loved and lived in full time for 3 years, I've just had to put it back to a van and give it away as a gift to my nephew as I live in London and the ULEZ was killing me, I now have a 2021 ford transit Luton that I'm converting, sod it go big! 🤘
This is gonna be a brilliant series as so many people can afford this budget and can just use all the same materials. It really opens this up to people with zero diy skills. Thank you so much 🎉
Looking good so far! Glad you have a replacement for your lost camera 😊 can’t wait to see the finished result on this van!😆 hope you and everyone reading have a lovely week 👍
Will definitely be referring back to this playlist when the time comes for me to start building my own van hopefully in the not too distant future. Thanks Shaun
Looking forward to the next one. It's not something I could do where I live but never the less very interesting and not out of reach for the basic DIYer up to now. Thanks.
i converted a 2015 Vauxhall vivaro into a stealth camping van. Love my van, ideal for me. None of the worries of parking a large campervan and sticking out like a sore thumb. Great you have gone back to a small van build.
It was one-owned from new by a self-employed electrician. He looked after it. It's absolutely mint. I had one as a hire vehicle in 2013 and was amazed at the car-like handling and performance. Will cruise effortlessly on the motorway and will top a ton (on a private test track). A bit different from the 2.5 litre, non-turbodiesel 1998 Transit I had, which was like a three legged donkey.
I keep getting told to slow down, I'm doing too much work! Then I see you on another project and think there's always someone worse than me! 🤣🤣👍 Have a sunny day every day Love Sundays, from Paul & Kathy in GB 🤝👍✊
What l like about this build is not making harder than needed to be .. learning about carpet is definitely an interesting 🤔 mold reality 😢 .. Thanks for the materials list and cost ... Now for part 2 😊
I love the idea because someone that is in hard times can be starting there for a while up until they get on their feet and is a safe place a tent outside is a different story! 👌
nice to see a budget build its all lovely when you get the proper art craftmandship van buiilds but some times you just need to get it done as simple , functional and as cheap as possible
Awesome couple, deserve all the love they're getting. They've got a winning combination going on, humble, funny and great at what they do. Loving their videos, keep them coming! 🍿 ♥ 🍿 ♥ 🍿
Looking forward to the end result on this van 👌 as a few others have said its good to watch something come together for not alot of money and doing all the work yourself. Good job 👍
A great video, Shaun! I agree about the painted walls, dark carpeted walls in small campers make them too claustrophobic.. looking forward to the next one 👍
Enjoying the build vlog...never got around to insulation or panels on my vivaro...it was very basic ,with a cupboard and pull down bed...but it doubled up as a window cleaning van also...😊
Hi Shaun, always great to see a new build with your tips and info. Remember the plan I had for your lovely van? Things have moved on much quicker than expected and it will be going to my bestie shortly having upgraded the insulation, a rejig in layout and adding some extras (I’m sure you’ll get an update in due course). My friend is desperate to get her hands on the Vivaro to pamper her even more and start a new set of adventures. I’ve just bought a silver lwb Trafic in a very similar condition to this one and about to start the conversion swapping between vans based on job and the delightful Cornish summer weather!
I started watching your channel when I got my vivaro, used it a lot to guide me in that process! Great vans the Viv / traffic range, don’t rust as much as transits and don’t have the VW tax. Also bigger space inside than others cause it’s more of a box !
Just discovered your build, it's a great idea to include the budget and items and quantity you've used, really inspiring. Now to find a suitable donor van, hopefully as clean as yours.
Very nice tutoring. you make it so practical, doable. with that kind of keen info & explanation one can tackle any work. its straight forward - clear & easily understood
I spray painted my plastic panels and put a mesh at the bottom where it's curved in. My internal van build came to around 500 quid..Full length bed. Welsh dresser split into 2 worked a treat for bottom cupboard and drawers and top half a shelving area behind front seats
@LoveSundays I got all I bought listed but my units and bed where easy and together only came to £110. If ever see you around, stick your head in the van and have a nosey
Looking great so far it’s brilliant that you can do it on a budget instead of getting carried away with everything you need you’re going to have some amazing adventures in this I can see it now looking forward to part 2 😊
Can’t wait for next episode of this so interesting. And I’m looking forward to u taking it out for first time. You should make a business out of this. The van is immaculate condition
looking great! can't wait to see the progress on this beast!! careful with that mouldy wood though, as mould spores are hard to completely get rid of and will end up growing back. might be good to cut a new floor using the old one as a pattern. cant wait for the next vid!
If you're reboarding the floor of a van that has been done previously, use the old floor as a template to cut out the new boarding. Also gives you the opportunity to straighten up any wonky lines. Try and reuse as many of the old fixing points as possible, as long as they're not stripped out, to avoid drilling any more holes, and/or leaving any old holes open to atmosphere.
Another great video, thanks. I’ve a Type 2 Crossover and have been thinking of doing something more modern for paddle boarding etc. Felling quite inspired.
Great start to the series. I would have personally put some rear windows in to let in light. But I know why you haven't. The van is clean! I've just finished our build on an L3 H2 relay - but might be tempted to do a smaller build 😂
@@LoveSundays yeah I get it totally. Can't wait to see how you progress. I used B&Q recycled bottle insulation which was significantly cheaper in comparison to dodo stuff when I checked at the time our our build. It was also better performance when I checked too. But dodo is an easy option for novices.
Great video and well done. For the sake of bodywork longevity it’s a pity you didn’t spray wax into the lower cavities especially around the wheel arches when the trims were removed.
Very good video mate, getting the urge to do my own van build. I’ve started doing Astro photography so having somewhere comfortable to eat & sleep close to location would be ideal
Great series. You’re quickly becoming one of my favourite YT channels and look forward to your uploads. Great also to see you don’t go down the VW route with all the Dub-tax they bring! 😂
Make sure you use the right masks too. Cheap disposable cloth/paper masks are fine for sanding and grinding, but make sure you have at least FFP2/N95 for solvents or paint.
Fantastic Video, love there kind of ones so I can see how it’s done and part of me feels like getting a cheap van to practice doing it as I have no clue lol 😂
Hi just subscribed.....this is just what I wanted to see. I done a little bit around self build campers but never get my head round 12v electrics. Hope to learn from this series

Living the dream mate
I feel that!!!!! 🎉
😂😂😂😂😂😂

After a hard 9-5 here in Greece in the sun as a parking attendant in the sun, best thing to watch on a Friday night with a nice Guinness. Nice one.
Thank you
This is gonna be a brilliant series as so many people can afford this budget and can just use all the same materials. It really opens this up to people with zero diy skills. Thank you so much 🎉
Thanks
This is an absolutely brilliant video. Especially with the details of the things used and the price and a link for them. Perfect. Thanks ⭐️
Thanks
Looking good so far! Glad you have a replacement for your lost camera 😊 can’t wait to see the finished result on this van!😆 hope you and everyone reading have a lovely week 👍
Thank you! 😊
What a brilliant idea to show how to make your own campervan on a budget.
Thanks
Will definitely be referring back to this playlist when the time comes for me to start building my own van hopefully in the not too distant future. Thanks Shaun
Enjoying the conversation and electricians do keep their stuff more care for.
This video will help so many people that want to do a van conversion. Easy to follow & so nicely put together. You make it look so easy.
Looking forward to the next one. It's not something I could do where I live but never the less very interesting and not out of reach for the basic DIYer up to now. Thanks.

That Vivaro is well tidy for the year, nice find.
It was one-owned from new by a self-employed electrician. He looked after it. It's absolutely mint.

Looking forward to the part two. Easy to follow uncomplicated information thanks Lx

nice to see a budget build its all lovely when you get the proper art craftmandship van buiilds but some times you just need to get it done as simple , functional and as cheap as possible
Top tip. That spray adhesive is exactly the same as the spray Carpet fitters use. Go to a wholesalers and buy a box.
Remindse of when my husband and I converted a 1969 ex ambulance in 1986. Kept it for 17 years and had so much fun.
Good job 👍

My vivaro has 2 windows in the back doors and in the side door and opposite. Those 2 slide open as well so plenty of ventilation. Great video Shaun.
A great video, Shaun! I agree about the painted walls, dark carpeted walls in small campers make them too claustrophobic.. looking forward to the next one 👍
Totally agree
Enjoying the build vlog...never got around to insulation or panels on my vivaro...it was very basic ,with a cupboard and pull down bed...but it doubled up as a window cleaning van also...😊
Thank you for showing how easy it is to convert a van.
Hi Shaun, always great to see a new build with your tips and info.

I’ve just bought a silver lwb Trafic in a very similar condition to this one and about to start the conversion swapping between vans based on job and the delightful Cornish summer weather!
Feel free to send over some photos of the original van in her new form. You can email me if you like. Lovesundays562@gmail.com
Looking good can’t believe how clean that van is for the year.
I started watching your channel when I got my vivaro, used it a lot to guide me in that process! Great vans the Viv / traffic range, don’t rust as much as transits and don’t have the VW tax. Also bigger space inside than others cause it’s more of a box !

All my favourite UA-camrs post on a Sunday, I ❤ Sundays 😃
Just discovered your build, it's a great idea to include the budget and items and quantity you've used, really inspiring. Now to find a suitable donor van, hopefully as clean as yours.
Welcome aboard. Part 2 comes out on Sunday
There are few things better than watching a man doing handy things 😍😏
I like the idea of painting the wood panels, I've just got a Trafic, I will be stealing this idea 😃
Everything seemed to be so confusing, but now it's not. Great video, can't wait for the next one. Love Sundays
Thanks
Wow the van was so clean and tidy when you bought it !
Thanks
Gonna be doing something similar over the next few months with my newly acquired £250 volvo v70. Great video 😎
Loved this, you inspired me to do my own build. Which I did over the winter, I'm all in including the van at £2100 I'd love to show you the van.
Very nice tutoring. you make it so practical, doable. with that kind of keen info & explanation one can tackle any work. its straight forward - clear & easily understood
Thank you
The best van build video I've seen
Thanks
You struck gold, getting a van in such clean condition on the inside.
Thanks
I spray painted my plastic panels and put a mesh at the bottom where it's curved in. My internal van build came to around 500 quid..Full length bed. Welsh dresser split into 2 worked a treat for bottom cupboard and drawers and top half a shelving area behind front seats
500 quid I bet that was really hard to achieve. My last Vivaro was £700 to convert and I used mainly recycled materials
@LoveSundays I got all I bought listed but my units and bed where easy and together only came to £110. If ever see you around, stick your head in the van and have a nosey
Great video and hugely inspiring. I'd be seriously tempted to have a go at this myself if I had more electrical know-how.
Thanks
Those shorts are AWESOME😅. I was based out of Pearl for four years and those shorts brought me back 🫡
Van looks super clean! What a find! Really enjoyed watching that! Pat R.
Thanks 👍
Looking forward to seeing the finished van Shaun.
Why does “That’s what she said” always make me laugh. 🤷♀️😂😂👌
That van is ridiculously clean! Good find 👍
Thanks
This series is exactly what I need, I'm hoping to start the same process very shortly.
Thanks
Thanks for this series, I'm going to give it a go, I've just bought a Peugeot boxer. Wish me luck 🤞
This is so helpful I’m in Cornwall and I’m literally doing the same to a ranault traffic to live in full time 😊
Thanks so much for this mini series. I am about to embark on exactly the same build, so looking forward to part 2 Cheers!
Looking great so far it’s brilliant that you can do it on a budget instead of getting carried away with everything you need you’re going to have some amazing adventures in this I can see it now looking forward to part 2 😊
Thanks
Don't forget that fridge bro.
We need you to keep cooking those nice steaks 😮.
Best from London
Will do
Looking forward to seeing this finished.
Thanks
Great start. Looking forward to seeing it when it is done. Would live to be able to afford a van but cant get there yet.... ine day
Thanks
Seems in great condition. Great work so far. Looking forward to the next instalment! Hope you have a great week
Thanks
Can’t wait for next episode of this so interesting. And I’m looking forward to u taking it out for first time. You should make a business out of this. The van is immaculate condition
Thanks
looking great! can't wait to see the progress on this beast!! careful with that mouldy wood though, as mould spores are hard to completely get rid of and will end up growing back. might be good to cut a new floor using the old one as a pattern. cant wait for the next vid!

I am so tempted to attempt my first van build. Loving the simple step by step guide sean 😊
Go for it
If you're reboarding the floor of a van that has been done previously, use the old floor as a template to cut out the new boarding. Also gives you the opportunity to straighten up any wonky lines.
Try and reuse as many of the old fixing points as possible, as long as they're not stripped out, to avoid drilling any more holes, and/or leaving any old holes open to atmosphere.
For re-use, I was expecting him to use mold/mildew resistant primer on all those panels.
Looking forward to seeing you complete the build
Great video, tight budget, looking forward to the end result. Recently bought a van myself so will be following with interest 🙂
Best of luck!
This is so exciting- I'm thinking of buying a vivaro to convert. Definitely look out for a electricians van as you suggested.❤
Good choice!
Another great video, thanks. I’ve a Type 2 Crossover and have been thinking of doing something more modern for paddle boarding etc. Felling quite inspired.
Thanks
I would love to do my own camper so this budget build could really help me get saving
Go for it
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build...would love to do one but the other half is not keen 🙂
Thanks
Another great video mate. Flying though this build already. The van looks nice and clean and rust free. Must be a lot easier. 👍🏻👍🏻
It's so good when your working with such a clean van
Great start to the series. I would have personally put some rear windows in to let in light. But I know why you haven't.
The van is clean! I've just finished our build on an L3 H2 relay - but might be tempted to do a smaller build 😂
More windows = more cost. This is a tight budget 😂
@@LoveSundays yeah I get it totally. Can't wait to see how you progress. But dodo is an easy option for novices.
Loving the budget idea, going to be a good series to follow.
Great video, glad I got to watch it as soon as it went live for once.
Thanks
This is an awesome video !! My son wants to make himself a van as cheap as he can and this is a perfect video for him . Thank you 😁
Ahhh the chill out music is engaged once again 👍🏼
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build.
One day I’ll be brave enough to do this! You certainly make it seem doable for a complete novice at DIY
Just go for it
Looking good, new adventure on the way, looking forward to seeing the build when finished 🎉
Thanks
Thanks
Wow Shaun that van is in good nick mate. Think I’ll look for that when you sell it. 😊😊
Great video and well done. For the sake of bodywork longevity it’s a pity you didn’t spray wax into the lower cavities especially around the wheel arches when the trims were removed.
Loving the smaller van build. Look forward to the next video ;)
Thanks
Absolutely loved this video, going to be very helpful as me and my partner are getting our first van hopefully next week!!
Good luck!!
Looks amazing! Can’t wait to see what you’re planning to do in the back.
Really looking forward to seeing the end result I really fancy building one and use a vivaro Lwb
This series is ideal for me! I’m thinking of getting a van in the next month or so! Might even start a UA-cam for it haha
Very good video mate, getting the urge to do my own van build. I’ve started doing Astro photography so having somewhere comfortable to eat & sleep close to location would be ideal
Go for it!
I'm hoping to redo the inside of my Caddy soon, this'll be a great help. Keep up the good work fella!
Great series. You’re quickly becoming one of my favourite YT channels and look forward to your uploads. Great also to see you don’t go down the VW route with all the Dub-tax they bring! 😂
Thank you
Absolutely loved this video 👍🏼👍🏼really looking forward to seeing next one , I’m sure the budget will probably run over by £300 ish 🙈🤷🏻♂️great video
I hope not but you might be right 😂
Looking forward to this series, come out just at the right time!
Thanks
I love watching your video, it has made me feel like I need to do a van conversion now ! Looking forward to the next video. Cheers 🍻 👍
Go for it!
This is really making me want to buy a van and do my own conversion. Always amazing content 👌
Great video Shawn think I'll be using the same products for my built👍
Thanks
Make sure you use the right masks too.
Cheap disposable cloth/paper masks are fine for sanding and grinding, but make sure you have at least FFP2/N95 for solvents or paint.
Good advice
Congrats on your new van - great video, looking forward to the rest of the series
Thanks
Fantastic Video, love there kind of ones so I can see how it’s done and part of me feels like getting a cheap van to practice doing it as I have no clue lol 😂
The sliding window will look great!
i like it 2
Iam excited to seeing what you do differently to the last vivaro build. Love your videos.
Thanks
Can't wait to see the finished build!!
Hi just subscribed.....this is just what I wanted to see. I done a little bit around self build campers but never get my head round 12v electrics. Hope to learn from this series
Great start Shaun
Thanks
Wow looking good so far. Not something I personally would take on. However love watching ❤
Thanks
