Why do I feel like this song is foreshadowing that in the next game there isn't a happy ending for our inquisitor...
Solas said he can save him from the Anchor killing the Inquisitor - but only for a while, so even not taking the next game into mid, (s)he is living on a borrowed time.
Not to mention that Trespasser is going to NPC you up and introduce new main protagonist... again.
@@jankostrhun8725 I really wish we could continue playing the inquisitor in the next game because Solas is inquisitor’s responsibility and I feel like (s)he have unfinished business with him, and could you imagine how emotional it would be to battle our friend (or lover) in the next game. The choices (s)he have to make to save our friend and probably doom world or Kill our friend for the sake of saving the world…again.
@@notyetawomen5257 Yes, I mean having to stop and possibly kill your former ally and friend and possibly lover? It's almost a sin not to build your narrative around that.
And having brand new set of heroes is bound to suck some of the weight Trespassere established out of it. Constant changing of protagonists really weakens the RP element... and I'm pretty sure Hawke was original answer to this, to essentially be Dragon Age Sheperd, then DA2 underperformed horribly and the races were added back as a form of fan appeasement.
Speaking of the best case is that the Inquisitor will be NPCed as Hawke did. Which was a bit of a letdown, remember when he said that Corypheus is his responsibility and then either dies to heavily forced moral "dilema" or fucksk off to Weisshaupt? Yeah I'm already preparing for another round of letdown.

Like if the studio didn’t want Hawke as the main character then they should’ve made them into one of our companions and involved Hawke in the story like they could’ve been the inquisitor Jedi master or something. Also yeah it didn’t make sense to Hawke’s character to fuck off to some unknown place. Anyway this sucks balls

I mean, all they really had to do was let him return shortly before breach reopened and throw few lines or dialogue for both Hawke and Coripheus or let him separate to hold off some reinforcements (prefferably spiders) before you reach him. This is the worst kind or a plothole - the one you can solve with jsut a bit of putty and band-aid :/
There is an unfortunate tradeoff between branching storyline and ways you can craft it's continuation (or narrative freedom and narrative depth).
When you decide not only if the individuals but the whole groups live and die... there is a reason why only recurring companion in Awakening was Ogren - because he was the most difficult to piss off enough to attack you and he was mandatory to recruit. So unfortunately we can't have our cake and eat it too.
I know my inquisitor is still alive but this song is kinda depressing and instills images of a different inquisitor that saved the world but died in the final battle. T_T

Solas is a bro. He knew that it would be wrong to bang Lavellan, because he was so much more powerful (literally and figuratively) than her. It would be like a high school teacher banging their students, even if the student wanted it. Glad BW decided not to go for the cliched "dark lord forsakes everyone" approach for Solas.

Well Andraste was the first Jesus Christ, and our Inquisitor was basically the "Herald of Andraste" so we were basically the second coming of Jesus. Lmao

To be fair, as Mother Giselle said, what she admired about the original Inquisition was that when their duty was done, they hung up their swords. Our Inquisition was formed to close the breach and seek justice for the Divine. Once we accomplished that, our duty was done, and we'd secured peace (to an extent). The Inquisition was never meant to be a permanent, standing power.

Still, the Inquisition could have been such a force for good in Thedas even after Cory was defeated. Like Josephine said, the Inquisition could have been a neutral, impartial organization/power that nations and leaders could have turned to for all kinds of matters. I definately could have seen my Quizzy carrying on doing good and changing the world for the better, even though he wasn't all that happy in taking over as the leader of the Inquisition at first.
But Dorian was right all along, the gratitude wouldn't last and Orlais and Ferelden both started gunning for us almost immediately after Corys defeat. Considering how much I've done to help both nations and even defused a situation that could have lead to war between them by hosting a peace summit, the whole "Exalted Council" was WAY over the line. Ungrateful bastards.

@@luvgupta5152 To be fair, what the Inquisition would have ended up being after Cory was defeated was dependant on the personality and motives of the Inquisitor. In my case the Quizzy wouldn't be invading anyone or trying to claim more power for himself etc., but you could definately play the character like that. And one also doesn't have to pledge the organization to the Divine --- there is also the choice of disbanding.

My favourite Trespasser song. Even if Inquisition is not my favourite chapter of DA, I loved that DLC and I love Maryden (I love Cole too, so it's perfect :D), I think here's the best music of all the game. It makes me feel so melancholic: I can't help thinking about all the friends you shared your adventures with and then meet again or loose. I cried my heart at the final battle, when I said that it was a honor for me to fight by their side.
