Apache Helicopter I think you have to bring them along with you at the same time for their romance to start in addition to not romancing. Bc I never brought iron bull with me the playthrough I did when Dorian wasn't romanced and they never happened. Unless you can like friend romance him bc I chose the option where my female Levellan told him she liked flirting with him and they definitely did continue to do so haha
bro... I havent even finished the game and done tresspasser but thinking about each of my companions whenever they are mentioned in this song makes me tera up a little,.
One of my favorite songs in the game. I think it would have been really cool if there had been two versions based off of what you do with Cole. If you kept him a spirit then you get this song, if you made him more human then he gets a verse.
@@Varangian_af_Scaniae Then Iron Bull and half of the inquisition deserves the same, you know. Your inquisitor kills more people than him, and if you play dwarf or a qunari it makes you just a big hypocrite. In earlier games there are companions who tried to kill you personally... I love the doble standards of the players.
I kinda think it's unfair referring to Thom Rainier as Blackwall in the song and singing about Blackwall's deeds, Thom has a nice story too, he's redeeming dammit! And specially now that he's begun to accept his name once again :(
in a world like the DA verse I doubt that it would be well received by the public I mean it's a long time since the magisters fell from power outside the imperium but still people distrust mages something like what blackwall did and as recent would definitely have stronger back lash the only thing saving our character from a mob out for blood is them thinking your a Herald of andraste and you saving them from the rift
For some reason in my most recent playthrough I didn't get Blackwall's loyalty quest (nor Solas'). If you go through the main quest without Blackwall's lie being revealed he doesn't appear in Tresspasser and you get a spy report that explains that he turned himself in to the Orlesian authorities after Corypheus was defeated.
+RyukoAkari And in the other half, she has literally no idea he exists, and no ability to remember him if she sees him. Also, do you think the Inquisition would be at all happy with a bard they pay singing about the Inquisitor associating with a *demon*? That'd go down... very poorly.
+yesthatnagia Right, but it could have been a verse that could not appear in some people's games, and appear in those who turned him human. They do stuff like that all the time. It... Just feels kind of lazy on Bioware's part. She would want to sing of him if she was in love with him. My headcanon to make up for this at the moment is, Cole did everything he did to help, and NOT to get recognition for it. He actively kept himself from getting recognition most of the time, so maybe he asked her not to.
I can't belive the fact that after all this time I still tear up when it comes to the blackwall part. I just can't...I wish I'd knew people like him irl
For me it made Cullen's lyrium addict ending more poignant. That someone could be regarded as such a hero (even immortalized in song) and still end his days in the gutter begging for lyrium. That's Dragon Age. Heroes save the world and are then cast aside.
Os it pathetic that I teared up a little while singing this? Hahah It's been years since I finished Tresspasser. Maybe it's time for another playthrough. Lol
+Malcolm Swoboda Nope! You'll get the full song even if you didn't recruit them. (I didn't recruit Sera and Viv on my main, and the full song played regardless.)
This is a lovely performance, better than the in-game a cappella piece. I'm just wondering what is the point of buying a Game Soundtrack when not all in-game songs are on that soundtrack?
Yes, Maryden stops singing, the entire Inquisition stares at you in a judgemental manner, the words "what the FUCK man" appear on your screen and the game crashes forever because you're a terrible person
Dorian's verse always cracks me up. The last line doesn't even really make sense as it is, but why would anyone rhyme "suspect" with "defend," when you could at least rhyme it with "protect?"
I always pictured him being offended by the 'slightly' part, '' All my hard work and I'm only slightly suspect? Granted Orlesians aren't known for their subtlety but I'm with a Qunari for Andraste's sake''
I'm gonna be honest, while I like this song as a send-off to Inquisition and the singer has a nice voice, it is terrible lyrically and musically and it seems that no one coached her on the pronunciation of some words ("dalish" in this though in some other songs she pronounces other words strangely). I'd love to see a fan-cover of this, rewritten into a better version with correct pronunciations and improved lyrics.
@@4RedJohn pronunciation is not the most consistent thing in da series. now that the veilguard is out, there is a third way to pronounce "andaran atishan" (not to mention ghilan'nain)

By the side of the Divine
Cassandra seeks the truth and finds
Her whirling blade cuts so sublime
Royal hearts Nevarran minds
Varric charms with clever words
Vendor of exotic goods
Writer of salacious books
A rogue, a dwarf with rugged looks
Solas, mysterious elven mage
Mastered magic by his own hand
Not a Dalish or a city elf
Sceptic born into lovely land
Dorian rebelled against countrymen
A mage from the Tevinter Imperium
Charming and suave and just slightly suspect
These are the early days we defend
And then the later ones came to the Fade
Like Sera who stayed to tempt their fate
But we all know she was but a rogue
The taverns still sing her name
Blackwall, a secretive Grey Warden
Proud of his life in isolation
Bruising and strong, protector of all
Recruiting the brave to join the cause
Iron Bull's loyal, indulgent one
A past brilliant agent of those who run
The Bull's Chargers now stay in his sight
But he still finds the time to roar through the night
Vivienne, Madame De Fer
Respect of the mages throughout the world
Ruthless to fight by Inquisitor's side
Defying expectations only to rise
Then there's of course our revered ever more
Like Commander Cullen who lead his men through the Inquisition
A Templar, a knight who stayed with the fight stout and bright
Or Sister Nightingale, spymistress veiled
In beauty and bow
Orlesian bard, both tender and hard
Brave and bold
Josephine, noble with bright acumen
With grace and charm in hand
Ambassador to the wealthy and shrewd
And dear through the land
The Inquisitor surely stands
Because of these souls we sang

daniellealane Pretty sure you don't need to do anything for that to happen, as long as you haven't romanced either of them.
Apache Helicopter I think you have to bring them along with you at the same time for their romance to start in addition to not romancing. Bc I never brought iron bull with me the playthrough I did when Dorian wasn't romanced and they never happened. Unless you can like friend romance him bc I chose the option where my female Levellan told him she liked flirting with him and they definitely did continue to do so haha
daniellealane I guess you might have to. I did hear somewhere that they atleast had to interact through banter.
I love the first part about Cassandra's soft warrior's heart. Brings back the memories of her romance.
Best of all the tavern song.
bro... I havent even finished the game and done tresspasser but thinking about each of my companions whenever they are mentioned in this song makes me tera up a little,.
Remember The Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3? Trespasser had the same vibe...
One of my favorite songs in the game. I think it would have been really cool if there had been two versions based off of what you do with Cole. If you kept him a spirit then you get this song, if you made him more human then he gets a verse.
I kinda wish that the information about yourself if you were like an elf or another race that you told to josephine would be put into the song
Trespasser did not have to go this hard.
I get such a sad and Nostologic feeling from this song, it’s making me miss them when I’m not even done with game yet
I trust Blackwall with my life
He's a murderer and deserves that rotting little cell I left him in.
Epic! I love this song.
Oh I'm sobbing
I kinda think it's unfair referring to Thom Rainier as Blackwall in the song and singing about Blackwall's deeds, Thom has a nice story too, he's redeeming dammit! And specially now that he's begun to accept his name once again :(
what about cole :(
in a world like the DA verse I doubt that it would be well received by the public I mean it's a long time since the magisters fell from power outside the imperium but still people distrust mages something like what blackwall did and as recent would definitely have stronger back lash the only thing saving our character from a mob out for blood is them thinking your a Herald of andraste and you saving them from the rift
I have to hear to whole song on here cuz my game keeps glitching the song out shortly after the tone shift.
I do not understand why she sings about everyone except Cole! In half of the games, she's dating him!
+RyukoAkari Cole? Who's Cole?
+yesthatnagia That strange boy who did something... I think...
+tp9829 The thing is, in half of the games, she is dating him.
When the do make the next dragon age I just hope it will live up to DA:I because I need more iron bull and Dorian
Maker I swear there was another verse that isn't in this one!
Hearing blackwall part when I leave him in prison...It really hurt, but I love grey wardens and I couldnt forgive him for what he done.
Poor Cole first in winter palace and now in a tavern song , and he live in skyholrld tavern
Leliana is that you?
I can't belive the fact that after all this time I still tear up when it comes to the blackwall part. I just can't...I wish I'd knew people like him irl
i feel cole may not have been in the song because he normally removed himself from peoples memory
Am i the only one who misses cole in this song?
Not me, I banished the first time I met him
WHY?!
Kyle Dayton He looks like a fucking vegetable
Petretti hes a cute vegetable,
It's kinda expected, like, everyone forgets that he's in there.
I'm still listening to this lol
For everyone complaining about the pronunciation, guys she has to rhyme the words somehow a lot of these names are weird
Listening to this made imagining the cullen-addiction ending impossible to bear.
Reading this reminded me of _that_ Wicked Grace match.
For me it made Cullen's lyrium addict ending more poignant. That someone could be regarded as such a hero (even immortalized in song) and still end his days in the gutter begging for lyrium. That's Dragon Age. Heroes save the world and are then cast aside.
kingkong381 holy shit you're right and I want to cry now
wait... what about Cole??
Os it pathetic that I teared up a little while singing this? Hahah
It's been years since I finished Tresspasser. Maybe it's time for another playthrough. Lol
soo sera is the same sera from the bard song! I freaking knew it why is everyone saying she isn't?
Thank you for posting these! Do you have a link where I can download them? Thank you.
Will the lyrics for Iron Bull be different if Chargers were killed? I never did that in my play through so I don't know.
Does cole have a verse about him if he become human? I always make him spirit so I don't know.
No but he gets to date the bard
where is Cole
Poor Cole, forgotten again.
Did someone of you have the lyrics to this amazing song?
Thank you.
Might this only happen if you recruited everyone?
+Malcolm Swoboda Nope! You'll get the full song even if you didn't recruit them. (I didn't recruit Sera and Viv on my main, and the full song played regardless.)
yesthatnagia I kinda don't like that!
+Malcolm Swoboda Deal with it. xD
Chris Lambrone I'll mod the thing!
Malcolm Swoboda Sadly that's almost impossible. You just mod it, you just ruin the rhythm.
I love this song, but I have one complaint. Who the hell is Amanda Cullen!? :P
+Thalandor46 Commander, no Amanda.
+Thalandor46 holy fuck
Thalandor46 I HEARD THAT TOO
The way she says "dalish" [Disgusted Noise]
Cullen has no mention of his hair? Dishonor!
This is a lovely performance, better than the in-game a cappella piece.
I'm just wondering what is the point of buying a Game Soundtrack when not all in-game songs are on that soundtrack?
Rip Cole
Where is Cole???
Adele V. He's the awkward pause after Dorian
MermpyDermpy Ok
who?
You you include Solas who isn’t even a part of the Inquisition anymore, but you don’t include Cole?
Does Bull's verse change if you save the dreadnought?
Yes, Maryden stops singing, the entire Inquisition stares at you in a judgemental manner, the words "what the FUCK man" appear on your screen and the game crashes forever because you're a terrible person
Zan Mikolajczak
:/
+Zan Mikolajczak *fistbumps you*
+Baenemy tfw and a nice fistbump to you too, mate
Lmao
dAAhlish
What about cole😕✌️
Meanwhile Morrigan and Cole - :(
Dorian's verse always cracks me up. The last line doesn't even really make sense as it is, but why would anyone rhyme "suspect" with "defend," when you could at least rhyme it with "protect?"
I always though they did that as there is meant to be a clear distinction between the first and second half of the song
Cullen you'll forever be my hubby, luv ya babe~♥ 👨❤️👨

"Iron Bull loyal and indulgent one" Hm. That stab in the back didn't really scream "loyalty" to me tbh...
Joe Nygma you kind of deserve it if you kill the chargers, tbh...
PRetty sure what she's saying is "came to the Faith," not to the Fade.
it sound just like Leliana
Love the song, but the pronunciation...
Taviner Imperium 💀
It’s been pronounced worse in game. So I don’t mind to much.
@@johnnybullfrog8941 True, but couldn't they just tell her how to do it before the recording? 😅
@@4RedJohn pronunciation is not the most consistent thing in da series. now that the veilguard is out, there is a third way to pronounce "andaran atishan" (not to mention ghilan'nain)
@@shippingjamvault4170 Nobody cares about Veilguard honey 😂 It's not canon.
@@4RedJohn i get your frustration with it, i don't like veilguard gaslighting me into their world state either X)
point is, the pronunciation did differ in dao and da2/dai anyway, consistency was never a strong point
Why does she make it sound like sera is dead??
Lol she made Cullen sound so French 😂😂😂😂😂😂
