- This week, we travel to the mighty ancient Greek ruins of Epidauros Greece on our way to Nafplio. The Epidavros Theater is incredibly impressive, with accoustics that are unmatched.
In the charming historic port town of Nafplio Greece, we check out the local market and head to the fort above the city (where possibly the most commanding view from a fort exists?!). Did you know you could climb 999 stairs to get to Palamidi Fortress?

I was lucky enough to spend a whole summer just at the bottom of the hill by Epidaurus. If my memory of Greek pronunciation is right it is something like Epeethavrow. I au paired for a family who had connections with the National Theatre of Greece, one of the actors a friend of the family lived with us and he told me all about the ancient plays that they recreate in the summer festival. It was such a memorable time.
