Thank you for this video. My wife and I just walked that path 4 weeks ago and I can confirm it makes all stress go away and puts things in perspective. Even had lunch at that restaurant. Would recommend for sure. A great day. In a beautiful place.😊
If you hadn't gone around the closed door you wouldn’t have had this experience. So, what I get from this video is that when you come across closed doors you have to go around them. At your own risk of course. You are on your own as you are in life. This was the Greek spirit back in the days. We have lost our spirit. Greeks have always been in touch with nature, not listening to rules of people if they sounded stupid. Following rules like religion when we believed in them. We had a good judgment of things back then but nowadays we have lost our way. I may be writing from a big city of Greece, but I come from a small village where people are still restless in spirit. Thank God there are Thousands of hundreds of villages in Greece.
That's actually the most beautiful path i have ever seen. I have been to Nauplio but i didn't know that such path even existed. Thank you for sharing, i look forward to walk it myself.
Kalispera. Wow, from 15:00 that with the blue skies, the sun sparkling off the water, the mountains, quiet too and no noise. The Greek tourist board should be paying you commission for your videos as Nafplio looks an amazing place! From the UK
Another great video, Daniel! I've been looking for a new favorite place that is closer to the mainland. I usually go to one of the islands that are close to Turkey and a very long ferry ride. I've only looked at islands, but now I can see a different alternative for swimming and hikes and not too many tourists -- good food and nice locals are a given wherever I go in Greece!! Here is my question -- what time of year did you do this video? There don't seem to be too many tourists, and the weather looks great but maybe you're off the beaten track? I've had a serious career and have lived a full life, and am sad that there is now a finite amount of time left for all the things I still want to enjoy. Efaristo poli!
I am baffled. I have been to Nafplio about 15 times and each time I saw the pictures of this path ( arch) I thought it was on a path to Karathona ( which btw is just as beautiful), perhaps some hidden place there. I am definitely going to find it next time. And you are right, no photo / video can capture how amazingly beautiful Nafplio is, my favourite city in the world.
Heading to Nafplio in a couple of days from Athens. Will be there for 4 days. Digging your videos, I have a friend who has a house there. Going to do a deep dive into the vibe.
I love everything here about staying sane. I am in my most difficult time in my life now so far and thus may be this makes me too emotional. but thank you from the bottom of my heart
Thank you for the awesome videos. I'm greek who lives in Austria and I really miss my country so much. Keep on with your nice work. I wish you all the best to you and your family!
Hi Daniel. You nailed it man. Your video is healing. What a pleasure to watch your videos and listen to you. Your Greek is perfect for me. Ise o kaliteros ❤
Extended sitting is the new smoking is definetely true. As a fresh retired software developer this could become my new home. Thank for these deep insights in the greek way of living. I'm already liking it.
Είναι όντως τέλεια περιοχή! Η φύση που δημιούργησε ο Θεός και έβαλε εκεί τον άνθρωπο να τη φροντίζει είναι και το καλύτερο θεραπευτικό φάρμακο ψυχικής υγείας! Βλέπω έχει και πολλές φραγκοσυκιές, έχεις φάει φραγκόσυκα;
Thank you so much for this. I am currently bedridden for the next four months. (Foot reconstruction surgery). I am only two weeks in, and already going stir crazy as walking became such a habit for improving both of my physical and mental health. At around the 18:40 mark I welled up with tears of both sadness and appreciation. You truly do not know the impact you’ve had on my mental well being for today. Very much appreciated and enjoying your content.
Just became a subscriber, I love your passion for my country, I did this walk in 2022 it is lovely, will be coming to Greece this year going to do it again.
Was in Nafplio just last week (stayed three days); what a lovely place! The farmers market was incredible! So many things we loved about it but I was that tourist who began walking the path but thought it was off limits when I saw the gate. 🫤. Bummer. I did get to cool my feet off in that swimming area ear the restaurant!
What an amazing path. The last one I've done is from Stoupa to Agios Nicolas along the coast. It's a cement bicycle path, not as nice as yours all done up with flagstones.
I love that place. I went there last year for the first time and can’t wait to go back! After one day, I started looking at Nafplio real estate! Thanks for showing the walk. I can’t believe I missed it.
5:40 5 years ago my friend and I came across this path as we were walking and this gate was there locked. One of the local told us to just swing around the side and he showed us. We followed, and I felt naughty doing it :D I don't usually like breaking rules. But the walk and the view was spectacular. It was worth it.
We have been to Nafplio in 2016 and I think we walked the path as well (I have photos). But in that time it was not closed as we were with our one-year old son so we would not risk to enter. I definitely remember the square at the end, it's where the bus to Tolo parts... Nafplio is beautiful city! Stay safe!
Love your videos Daniel.. Would be interested to learn a bit about what exactly moving to Nafplio as an expat looks like in terms of , rental 2,3 bedroom apartment/house, work/money , cost of living in general and most importantly medical system. Apologies in advance if I am repeating here or if those things have been covered. Have a great day.. look forward to seeing your next video
Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. Is there a time of year that the path has more color? That would be cool to see. I ask because my wife loves color in nature.
Such a beautiful place! I never get tired of seeing God‘s handiwork of creation. (John1:3) Is it any wonder that people feel more at peace in nature?❤❤❤
I've been told the new mayor of Nafplio is actually doing the work that was supposed to be done ages ago, like fixing public infrastructure, new rubbish trucks, more council workers cleaning up the place, etc...
There are many beautiful places in Greece, but Nafplio is one of those towns where you can stay and enjoy your life all the year around. It is in the top of my personal list of places where I could stay for the rest of my life (I live in Athens for the moment).
We stayed there 5 years ago and I walked down there early in the morning and went swimming with lots of senior’s swimming. Is the abandoned shell of a hotel still there on the hill ?
I knew about this path before we visited because I wanted to see that view from the “hole” on the Arvanitia path…..i guess the reason for the gate is the potential for falling rocks, huh?
U should gatekeep it man! You don't want tourists packing up there and ruining your daily routine bcz damn they are like flies, once they discover it you won't be able to take your peaceful walks it'll be full of them and their cameras and they'll throw their trash everywhere 🤬
16:24 but again, they knew how to ruin such a natural, beautiful place will all the ugly, needless graffiti..Greece must bring punishment for rampant graffiti that is literally destroying the country at this point.
The graffiti was anarchist reaction to the horrible austerity and the economic crisis, is just a show of protest to the insufferable conditions the people had to deal with... Ugly reminder for sure...
I always see tourists come down Arvanitia to see it, only to realise they should have brought their swimming gear. It's not even worth it to walk down there without dipping in! - just a towel and a swimsuit will do for "gear".

It is not fair, man... You live in the most beautiful place of the world...

Great. thank you. Where can I find ypur other walk (I think the path to karathona beach) you mentioned at the end of this vid?
I love Nafplio, and have walked this same path, during short visits! ❤

5:40 Indeed! Welcome to Greece. 🤣😂
Good morning dear Daniel, can u please tell us the length of this beautiful path? tnx.
Looking forward for the next video.
it is about 1km long!!
From South Carolina, USA. It's gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much 🇬🇷💙
Thank you for the tips on this stunning path Daniel, will be in Nafplio in a few days and will be doing this walk with my family soon, can't wait!🙂
When our cruise stopped here, I knew about the path but not the locked gate ….like you we went around it!!
Daniel, are you sure you're still on this planet? Looks like you are taking us on an adventure beyond this dimension. :)
I love this video
I have learned a lot from your vudeos! Anyone going to Greece in September from the USA?
I love that place. I went there last year for the first time and can’t wait to go back! After one day, I started looking at Nafplio real estate! Thanks for showing the walk. I can’t believe I missed it.
Hi Daniel,
Love your content ❤love Nafplio ❤️ love Greece 🇬🇷 we have a place in Xiropigado so frequent Nafplio

I was nervous walking part of that path, the last Gama, but the view was as you describe it.
I stayed close to the wall though!
Excellent videos thank you very much!!!
Thank you 🙏💙🇬🇷

That is what you will hear from every mayor to come. This is politics Nothing to do with life.
Walking it tomorrow. I discovered this by accident in May.
Looks amazing!
There are many beautiful places in Greece, but Nafplio is one of those towns where you can stay and enjoy your life all the year around. It is in the top of my personal list of places where I could stay for the rest of my life (I live in Athens for the moment).
This is amazing thank you for sharing us . Where did you learn greek language?
Book, TV, and full immersion in the language. But above all else, not being afraid of making mistakes 🇬🇷
would you recommend nauplio as a place for retiring?
We stayed there 5 years ago and I walked down there early in the morning and went swimming with lots of senior’s swimming. Is the abandoned shell of a hotel still there on the hill ?

Hey, do you know who Nauplios and Palamidis were?
Waiting for your video on Olympiakos !!!
i was as a soldier in nafplio 1997....so much memories !!!
Hello. What is Pelion like for a short break? Thanks
when it's raining hard, please don't walk on this path, you're ours now
Who keeps the path cleared?
U should gatekeep it man! You don't want tourists packing up there and ruining your daily routine bcz damn they are like flies, once they discover it you won't be able to take your peaceful walks it'll be full of them and their cameras and they'll throw their trash everywhere 🤬
Such a pitty wheelchair users are denied access to this beautiful and doable path. 😢

What is the deal with the need to spray grafitti everywhere???!!!! ‼😠😠😠‼
Walk faster.
this walk is not beautiful, local greeks have 98837 trillions to pay back for loans, that makes it the ugliest walk, stop lieing mister
The fun part is that there is another channel of a foreigner living in Nafplio (@thisismylifeingreece).I guess you should meet him.
