I did the same thing in my 18'x18' garage. Also I bolted a block of wood to the floor to stop the cars from entering too far into the garage so there was more space at the back of the garage for work bench and storage. I had my Mustang, Thunderbird, motorcycle, riding lawn mower, rolling tool cabinet, air compressor, yard tools, bikes and misc. in there and there was still room to work at my eight foot bench. Also had a box spring and mattress strapped to the ceiling. After transferring all that stuff into my new 22'x22' garage and before organizing it, my new neighbor was a bit put out because he thought that I would have to leave my cars setting out all the time. My new garage felt enormous! When you have a small space you learn to utilize every square foot.
The truth is home builders don't build garages big enough. A two car garage is really a one car garage. And most aren't deep enough to fit a full size truck. And if your truck is lifted forget about it.
I never understood why people park their car, especially a new car on the street and will have a lot of stuff, in some cases, junk/crap in the garage. I'm looking to get a 4runner later this year. I already have a Dodge Grand Caravan. I plan on parking both in the garage and then I'll work on what I store in the garage. It will be tight, the Caravan is a 2015 and is huge. Mostly wide, the 4runner is shorter though. I thought about getting a medium shed but hopefully I can get by without it. Also I'll be backing both vehicles in. My garage is in the alley and backing out would be a p.i.t.a.
Well, even though that is true, no. The video is about showing people there is a way to get your stuff and vehicles in the garage. That there is little room for excuses. And you can get your vehicles in from the weather and thieves.
How about using flow wall or any type of wall storage and 1 or 2 metal cabinets for the small stuff? Then both of you an drive in straight. You can hang 80 percent of your stuff off the floor. Great size garage.
Two questions. 1) what are the dimensions of the shelvings and 2) what is yhe size between the wall and the garage assembly thing (not sure if the second question made sense).
My wife pulls strait in, there is no problem there. I can pull my truck in and out whether she is parked or not. It does not stop me. I can effectively get my truck within inches of the wall. When my mirror has only 1/2" clearance from the wall, well that was spot on. The only thing is getting bikes and stuff out. But everything is in there and safe.
Kids, don't think about riding your bikes until daddy moves the truck out... Honey, don't move the lawn mower until my SUV is out... I think you layout your garage way too focused around parking your vehicles inside and nothing else can be moved around with ease.
I understand what you are saying and you are right. I am focused on parking my vehicles inside because I can have my vehicles inside away from the elements and vandals or I can park them in the driveway so that I can fill the garage with junk. I was tired of having tens of thousands of dollars in the driveway while having hundreds of dollars safe in the garage.

I'm hyperventilating looking at how close that truck is to the wall. 😄
It is close. Thank you for watching. Check out hundreds more of our videos at www.aroundthehome.org

You are not wrong.

This is the kind of video I was looking for. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Can we get a video of you parking inside. I cannot see how to do this with my truck
I actually have an updated video on this and do back into the garage. ua-cam.com/video/2CfmM1TYng4/v-deo.html
so this was a video about how you can back your truck into a tight place better than the rest

should probably get an outside shed in the back.
Yah, but I have a tiny back yard.
dude just build a shed in the backyard..
No
How long/wide is your truck
Interesting, but what happens if you have to leave the house before your wife, or come home After her?,

Ben, you made me want to do an updated video for the garage. Here I show you me backing my truck in. ua-cam.com/video/2CfmM1TYng4/v-deo.html
Nathan Cox
I would love to see you do that on a dark stormy night when the windows are dirty and you're very tired. Lol 😆
I have and that's actually not that hard. The hardest is late morning when the sun is shining in from the side and I can't see my side mirror.
What is the size of your garage?
Is that a lift on your truck?
Nope, that's stock. Thanks for watching, and I am glad to help. Don't forget to stop by our website www.greatwhiteninja.com
Or just buy a house with a 3 car garage :)
Or a car that normal people would drive.
Need a ten car garage.

Nathan Cox I agree with you on that.
Well there is a reason they call them 2 CAR garages tho
Congratulations, space is still pretty damn scarce though. 🙄
