Old carbureted engines need to warm up on cold starts to run right since carburetors can't adjust fuel and air mixture like fuel injected engines can, which can cause stalling on idle like that. They get starved of fuel, which is why they have choke blades, to help it run richer on cold start up. Giving it a few pumps of throttle and setting a higher idle can help with that too
Sounds like a diesel 😂🤣😂
And thats very cool
The reason it does because it’s the same cylinder configuration as most diesel engines
Wow, what a classic!
Hey man let’s get a walk around of the whole car when you get a chance!
Will do
Very cool!
Sweet car!!! Next time record a cold start from inside the car. I subscribed!
Will do thanks for the sub
Did you try stepping on the gas pedal before starting it? Works with my fairlane
This sounds nice.
Someone needs to set up their choke and high idle. Sounds mean though.
Chock needs adjustment
Hey man can I use this video for my UA-cam channel. I will credit you
Sure send me the link when it’s done I’d love to see the video!
Thanks. I will send you the link when I am done with it
@@1k_lance thanks for letting him share it. I love your car vids! :-)
Why does it keep on stalling?
Old carbureted engines need to warm up on cold starts to run right since carburetors can't adjust fuel and air mixture like fuel injected engines can, which can cause stalling on idle like that. Carb is dirty or not adjusted right
first
I have the same problem
It’s just old and I probably need to adjust the choke but I’m still working on it been busy. You know how it is
