Can you please let me know if you are using hdmi or dp port to get 144hz because I am just getting 120hz
i used the hdmi cable that came with the monitor. I am getting 144Hz. check the hdmi port version on your laptop/desktop once.

technically 1.3 onwards should give you that but practically depends on alot of other things. Also I showed how to increase refresh rate in windows, try that. Tell me which device u r using ? sometimes manufacture also restrict ports capabilities.

my monitor only works at 120hz with the hdmi cable that comes in the box, did you know if 144hz only works with the displayport cable?
Could be multiple reasons but start by checking the port on you laptop or desktop which hdmi port version it has, it needs to be hdmi 2 port

At this price point, if you are looking for a best balance between both gaming & editing, then In my opinion this is the best.
check the latest acer model(released this month october) "VG240Y M3" Full HD, 0.5 ms response time, 180 Hz refresh rate, HDR 10, and the price is 10,900 INR
Would u say this is the newer version of the very popular LG UltraGear 24GN650-B that has been very recommended by people all over the years?
I'm looking at the 65r u reviewed here , the 650-b which is slightly older, a Samsung Odyssey g4 (ips 240hz )and the AOC 25G3ZM/B (va 240 hz ).
You got any idea about those monitors? Would u justify buying one of the 240hz monitors over the 65r if i can find them in the same price range?
Anything above 144Hz should not be the criteria of choosing one over other at this price point Maybe look at other specs to decide. I don't see much difference between 650 & 65R. Go for the latest one.
@@slicktechx I'm using an rx 6600 gpu either way. So chances are i m not getting full value of the 240hz either way. So u are probably correct.
I'm used to VA panels aswell, hoping an IPS panel won't ruin the blacks/contrast for me.
Its a budget monitor, it will do its best but might not be the same as VA.
Can ı use g-synic with this?
It doesn't have g-sync but has adaptive sync which tries to act as g-sync

Hdr10 is good in this monitor?
Hdr 10 is for 4k oled tvs . Monitors like to advise with hdr 10 without 1000 cdm hdr is useless so everybody turns hdr off.
What about Samsung odyssey g3 ?
I personally would stick with the LG as it has a IPS panel and 300 nits for peak brightness compared to VA panel & 250 nits on G3. G3, however, is a bit cheaper, so you can decide based on that. If you are only going to game without doing any color accuracy task, then the g3 is also a decent option.

650 is older version you can say, 65R is new launch of the same 650

8bit or 6bit+frc?
8 bit mentioned in specs and the display is detected as 8bit by my laptop as well. No mention of 6bit+frc anywhere.
Very often 6bit+frc is labeled as 8bit and also in a computer it may be labeled 10bit at all, although it is 6 bit, just frc is able to add 4 more bits., this is marketing. The question is what model of matrix is installed in the monitor? It depends on the matrix, by which you can tell for sure if it's honest 8-bit or 6-bit+frc.@@slicktechx
This monitor has 16.7 Million colors so it should ideally be true 8bit. Plus with only sRGB there shouldn't be much difference visibly even if it's 6bit+frc but i am almost sure it's 8bit.
