he actually is an extremely good drummer. i know what you're saying, but honestly, his groove and simplicity is what makes him indeed a "best drummer"! just because he isnt doing something "technical" at all times, he writes amazingly-catchy beats and does all the right kinds of drum fills that people can dance and move to. and in a day and age when music is full of artificial drum sampling and replacement/editing and over-technical metal drummers, it's honestly a massive breath of fresh air to see someone like matt playing drums in the truest sense of the word. this is what real drumming is all about! so
