      There are few theories about the meaning of the song lyrics. One theory is that Joe was a heavy drinker. Moonshine has the potential to blind people, so people suspect that his eyes were turned a milky white after being blinded by alcohol. Another theory says that it is possible that whoever Cotton-eyed Joe was actually had a medical condition that caused his eyes to turn white. Glaucoma or cataracts will cause this symptom, as does one other condition that leads into another theory, syphilis.

    Thank you for talking about how taking video and speeding it up is a way to do time lapse. I have been watching videos of how other people do it. I love the intervalometer, it’s so nice to finally have a camera that can do it internally. Nice not to have to bring a shutter release, and then once you get set you realize your battery is dead and you can, in fact, NOT get your shot 😭

    Hey buddy, thanks for the amazing tips. I have a question and was wondering if you could help me with that. I use canon 77D (A pretty old one). The problem is whenever I have shot timelapse with that, I brought up a video straight out of the camera. However I would like to know if there is a way I could get the number of photos that I have shot separately as raw from the camera but not the direct video, whithout using a intervelometer.

  • @dodmedia
    @dodmedia 4 роки тому +3

    With Sony cameras you can get 4K and motion blur by combining method 1 and 2. Just film normally and drop your shutter speed down to 1/4th second you'll be able to then speed that footage up by 600% and still get a 1:1 frame readout with motion blur so it's nice and smooth. Downside is that like method 1, you get big file sizes and you need to process that speed change in post.

    Hi there Dunna
    Honestly I‘m a bit of an iPhone & iPad Nerd (just WITHOUT the whole camera & photo topic) but last night I‘ve been "Lucky" to download a once $ 9 app (Movie Pro) for free.
    I know, I know an iPhone (even with the BEST CAMERA/PHOTO APP OF THE WORLD) is NOT COMPARABLE with for example a SLR Camera. But in my defense, (2day I received a mail that my PREORDERED 15 Pro Max, will arrive within the Next 2 days) is the camera of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, not the worst cell phone camera.
    So if I dig at least 50 % of Your TUTORIAL, I might start using not only all the STANDARD OPTIONS (as before)of my new iPhone, BUT EVEN TRY OUT The Camera and EVEN HAVE SOME FUN WITH IT.
    Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

    I would add that the 3rd method can drain out your camera shutter count relatively quick. Unless of course your camera has a silent mode ('electronic shutter').

    4:14 Method number one. What is the best frame rate to film this at? 23.976 fps?

    Totally recommend timelapsetool - it's easy to use, flexible, and works all the way up to 5k and beyond. Loads of added effects should you want them.

    I'm not sure if they still carry it in the store,, but for Sony did have an app for it in the Sony store through your camera. If I can remember it was $10.

      Yeah that was on the older playmemories store. They’ve moved away from that now but maybe you can still access it

    How do you send S and Q files straight to your phone? I have Sony A7sii and iphone and haven’t found a way to do this.

    • @dunnadidit
      @dunnadidit  4 роки тому

      You can only do it on the newer cameras BUT! You can get a phone SD card reader and transfer the files that way.

    • @toddgilligan

      Been trying to figure this out for ages. It’s. Not ideal, but if you film in MP4 you can transfer from A7s2 to iphone over wifi. This is going to be great when I’m on holiday and just wanting to clip together some clips on rush for a little edit. Can’t believe I hadn’t figured this out earlier. You can only film in 1080 at low bit rate but won’t matter if it’s just being watched on tiny instagram canvas. I have got a dongle for SD and this only works for photos, maybe it will work for MP4 files as well

    Timelapse is NOT sped up video.

    • @dunnadidit
      @dunnadidit  Місяць тому

      If I shoot a video at 24fps, then I speed it up 24x in my video timeline. The way that the software accomplishes that is by playing one frame from each second of video. Which would be exactly the same as if I had shot a 1 second interval photo timelapse with the same settings. So while timelapses aren’t ONLY sped up videos in the way they are created, that is definitely one way that you can create them.
