This 25-minute Pilates workout is Day 7 of the 30-Day Pilates Journey, “Finding your Center.” Today’s focus is the pelvic floor, which makes up the bottom of the Pilates Powerhouse and an important part of your core center!
We’ll start by activating the pelvic floor, learning how to both strengthen and release it (both are important!). We’ll continue to move through a series of pilates exercises with this focus combined with the breath. By the end of this class, you’ll feel how the pelvic floor connects with the rest of your core!

This was great!! It was like a session with my pelvic floor, physical therapist. I can’t wait to share this with other woman after their births!!!
Yay! I'm glad you got so much out of this class! Thank you for sharing with others too 😊
Thank you! Glad I found this course.
Love it! This is the first time I truly connect the breath and pelvic floor movement together CORRECTLY! 🙏❤️
That's awesome! I'm glad you were able to finally get that connection!! Nice work!
Really enjoyed this therapeutic session on the Pelvic Floor! Excellent way to begin the day and so important especially for women to be conscious and work this area:)
Yes, Karin! Very important to work on the pelvic floor! Glad you enjoyed this 😊
An amazing video on how explain the breathing I was able to feel this connection, thank you very much . 😊
Hi Iris! This is so wonderful to hear! It's sometimes hard for people to feel that connection, so great job! Thanks for your comment :)
Great, thank you. Pelvic floor - so important! 😊
Absolutely! It really is!!

So glad, Liz! And you're very welcome!
Did day 6 and 7 together because life got chaotic! It was such a crazy week. It was such a sweet mix. Got the breath going and i sweated quite a bit! Love love this series...♡
Great job! I love that you're working around YOUR own life and schedule and fitting it in when you can 🙌Keep it up, Brenda!

Wow, great series Caitlin. So informative. I’m learning so much. Thank you so much💕
You are so welcome, David! Glad to hear you are learning so much 😊That's definitely the goal... learning to move better, engage deeper and get the most out of the quality of movements. Nice work! Keep it up!
Super valuable session, and my lower back always appreciates cat-cow and child's pose haha!
Love that! Child's Pose and cat/cow are 2 of my favorite stretches for the lower back. So happy you're still enjoying the sessions!
Thank you! Great session again! 🌺
I really like your class very slow but effective, 😊
Thank you! Glad you liked it! When working slower, we can often find a deeper connection and engagement!
I also love this series! On this one I appreciated having the pelvic floor connection explained so well. With practice I'll get better at it!
You're so amazing!!
Ahhh shucks. Thanks!
Hi Cailin, did this one with the kids. In the beginning they said, "This isn't exercise!" By the end, they were tired and said, "That was so hard!!!!!" 😆
I’ve just recently found your channel and it’s great, a lovely mix of classes. I loved this class but I did find it tricky to feel the “engagement” of my pelvic floor when doing the leg exercises, I felt it when doing the ab curls and roll ups, I’m not sure if the yoga block made it harder to feel the engagement? I’ll keep practicing. Thank you.
Hi Zoey! Welcome, and I'm so glad you've been enjoying the classes :) That's a great question, and pelvic floor engagement can be a little tricky to feel sometimes! Anytime you are breathing, a healthy pelvic floor should move with the breath. So even when moving the legs, the abdominals and the pelvic floor are activated and engaged, during the exhale especially. Maybe try it without the block and see how that feels!
Thanks for your comment!
@@MVMTwithCailin Thank you Cailin, I will try the workout next time without the block. I’m going to do this class two or three times a week. 🙏
Cailin, I tried throughout the exercise but couldn’t connect with my pelvic floor, or maybe I could but didn’t feel it? What am I missing here? Is there a way to be more aware of the Pelvic floor? I’m a beginner who also just started doing reformer Pilates.
Hi Rebecca, that's a great question. If you are new to Pilates and to working on your pelvic floor, it often takes some time until you realize how to engage appropriately. Your instructor in your reformer classes should be able to help you with this better in person. You want to be sure you're properly connecting the breath, and there are various other ways to practice the pelvic floor engagement (including seated on top of certain props which helps to feel when we are contracting and releasing)....which your instructor should be able to help you with. Give it time, and keep working on it!
Cailin, where do I get your 30 days center program for pelvic floor?
We just have full body 30 day series. You can find them on my channel profile.
Intense! Nevertheless loved it.
