Thank you so much for this. I appreciate that you talk in layman terms. Some of the videos I have watched use lingo that assumes the watcher has already been doing this type of thing. I am working on learning Lightburn while my machine is being shipped to me so I can create a design or two before it even gets here. This was extremely helpful for me, so I thank you for your time in making this video! Now I am going to go search for a video that will show me how to make a straight line into a curved line!
Great video! I need one on how to set up test grids…not setting the arrays but where to start with speed and power. Mine are either scorched or charred. 🙏🏻
Clack, I saw s video where you made some acrylic keychains. Would you do anther video on doing things cutting and engraving acrylic? Thaks, I really enjoy your videos.
Just wanted to say I have learned a lot from watching your videos. Thank you for your time. I not sure if you know this or not but when I heard you talking about making triangles there’s a way to make them. You can use your polygon tool make a polygon and with it selected go to shape properties and there you can choose the number of sides and by choosing three sides will turn it into a triangle for you. Not sure if that helps but it may save you a few step when needing triangles
I have to start by saying; Your video is very insightful and we have watched it a few times and plan to watch again. Thank you for taking the time. However, I have to ask a few questions about the Iodes. We cannot seem to get them to respond the way you do and was wongering what we are doing wrong lol?
I was recently informed by multiple sources that lightburn will not link to a Falcon 2 directly with the USB jumper cable. You must transfer all code through the mini flash card. Is this accurate?
I'm new to engraving. Lots of industrial laser experience though. I like the idea of how you park out of the way of accessing the completed piece. I watched this video 4 times and still don't understand how you get to "park" . Can you elaborate please?

Any windows 10 machine will run lightburn. You can even buy some refurb Dell minis on Amazon for $125 that come with a mouse and keyboard. Just add a TV as a monitor
Another question. Where can you find a honey comb that matches the 430x430? the one I bought is really useless. I really don't know what to set the machine on.
@@TheClackShack Thanks so much. Watching a couple of your videos have answered so many question I've had. Ordered the camera and I am starting on the drawings for a hood.
I really enjoyed the video, especially the camera part. Been wanting to get one and your explanation of what you can do sealed the deal. That will be my next purchase.
This was very informative. I will watch again while in front of lightburn to practice your techniques. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Nice little Lightburn primer - useful for me, for sure, as I am new to this software. Thank you.

I thought I knew lightburn pretty well. I now know it better. Thanks Dave!. Good video

I am assuming you mean nodes? Make sure the path is closed to be able to edit them. Many shapes are not closed by default.

If it is, it is a recent development. I ran my falcon on lightburn for a long time. I haven’t got one of the newer ones but don’t see why they would.

I will never be close to being a professional at lightburn, i can't get this program!!
It just takes practice and a bit of patience.
what camera would you suggest for a omtech 60W laser with a 20x28 bed

For a beginner, besides lightburn what is a must have for software,
In my opinion, lightburn is all you need
Xtool comes with xcs would you recommend using xcs or lightburn? Also what is the difference of the two software thanks
XCS isn’t terrible but lightburn has some design features that you will eventually want.

Thanks for the video, I'm just learning lightburn and it is way harder than xtool creative space. Would you share your art library? mine is empty
You can build it up over time. Many of my files are my creations and the logos of my customers. I even have some purchased files. I cannot share them
