It was said in an interview that Alastoris a gentleman and would never harm someone who can't defend himself, judging by the fact he died in 1933 when that was the norm it's norsurprising. The rest is speculation but Alastor might have helped the lamb lady because she couldn't defend herself from the butcher.
Considering how many people he assumingely killed when alive, and preference for gumbo, and apparent cannibal diet he picked up at some point....You know he put at least some of his victims into gumbo. I'm willing to bet his father from the comics was one of the first.
Alastor killed more of how disgusted he was at the guy, on how he changed even while he was still at the door than for morals, therefore leaving the other little girl demon terrified at the end
Although Viv did say that Al has certain lines he won't cross (for example he might treat kids as off limits). Could interpret that as his view of having class or as a "twisted sense of morality" like how othrrs have described it.
Yes he and Vox are rivals. He can't stand how Vox is and Vox thinks he's out of date since more people watch tv than listen to the radio these days. I believe that Alastor does have a code of sorts. He is respectful of women due to the time in which he was born and possibly how his mother raised him. This will come in handy later in helping Charlie with her hotel if someone stupidly tries to physically hurt her. Also he knew that guy was no good when he was eyeing that meat cleaver earlier. So it's no wonder that guy got eaten.

From what I know Alastor was Vivsi’s oldest created character for the show. A few things I know is that he’s never not smiling because he believes to not smile is a sign of weakness, or perhaps it’s to show he’s in control of the moment. He has codes and morals, such as uplifting the weak. He’s also friends with Charly’s father, who enjoys the polka dance. I suppose the fear comes from the fact he’s in hell for a known reason. He was a mass murderer in life, so his charming personality is off putting. He’s flaunted his power to make a name for himself and is the only mortal to harness such power to contend with the eldest of demons.
I believe the sheep is an female demon, which is why The boar demon called them Bitch. So I think Alastor's ''code'' has something more to do with maybe not killing females who are kind.
@@Godzillakingofkaiju1 Well that idea does not really fit with what happened in the comic. As Alastor does say that he doesn't like when those of fairer means get bulled. So the idea of Alastor having an ''code'' that says he won't kill females or those with fairer means. make a bit more sense.
