I actually love that she did that. It's a lot more respectful than the guy who took pictures of black women at the airport wearing bonnets, and posted them online.
My best friend always travel with classy loafers & elegant bags. By the time she passes anyone they will look twice & they always treat her like the ‘Queen of elegance is here’. Anytime she opens her luggage people always comment. I usually help her when she’s travelling & I learnt from her. Everything- I mean everything is elegantly parked! She has transparent medium storage bags for grouping items.🤩
Amy Rose 🌹 l want to be friends with you l am really in the journey of becoming an elegant woman by every possible means, that queen feeling l really want to imbibe no more less than what I was created to be., Thanks for your comment.
Very good advice. Whenever I’ve traveled, I used to wear whatever felt comfortable. But lately, after watching tons of femininity and elegance videos (including yours), I have actually started to be more mindful of my attire. I’ve also noticed a difference on how men approach me. For instance, for my last flight, I purposely purchased a first class ticket and dressed the part like I belonged there. It was more of a casual but elegant style. I was also polite and applied everything I learned from all those femininity and elegance videos. I had a book with me that I read most of the flight because I’ve been trying to avoid being on my iPad. The man who sat next to me actually engaged in a conversation with me. I even shared with him, a snack that I brought. We chatted for a bit and he told me “if there’s anything I could do for you, please let me know.” I smiled and thanked him. He was an older man but I could tell he was a business man (although he did dress casually) because he was working on his computer and I saw some finance reports on a spreadsheet. My confidence increased afterwards and I realized that I am on the right track. Take notes, ladies. How you carry yourself can determine what course your life will take. You never know who you could meet at the airport, or anywhere for that matter. Congratulations on your 89k subscribers. I’ve been following you since you were at 6k. 🎉

I always leave for the airport hours earlier than I need to. If theres traffic I don't have to worry. Even if I arrive at the airport with hours to spare I get a lovely coffee and sit and read a book that I have been looking forward to reading. I am relaxed...stress free and am able to look forward to the adventures ahead. Oh...and I do so stylishly dressed.
Growing up, it would drive me crazy when my Grandmother would comment that one must ALWAYS be dressed well, after all, you NEVER knew who you would meet. She never went to the mailbox without being fully dressed with makeup expertly and yet minimally applied. My second trip on a plane was with her and my grandfather. She had all our bags packed for us, and made sure everything was JUST SO! It was a STRONG lesson indeed. one that I keep to this day. On that trip, We ran into 3 different prominent, and well-known people. Who ALL commented on her two well-behaved and well-dressed granddaughters. Something that I will NEVER forget. The last time I was on a flight, The other passengers wore anything from Pajamas to Extremely Short skirts or shorts, and most wore flip flops. I was saddened by this.
Thank you for providing this video. I never leave the house without looking presentable. My mother instilled this in me as a little girl, I also teach this to my daughters.
Excellent tips and advice! I am so happy to see more young women embrace manners and elegance. It seems that shabby clothing and even shabbier behavior has increased the past decade or so. I see young women loudly dropping F bombs when talking to each other in public. Many are wearing overly revealing clothing, and proudly state that they don’t care if anyone else likes what they are wearing because they are comfortable. I am so glad to see more and more young women that value themselves enough to project class and elegance!
So happy that theirs a group of women who still believe in elegance & modesty. I always loved how great Muslim women looked and acted, Very modest and respectfully dressed.
I used to work at an airport where we had a montage of pictures from over the years. Ladies used to wear trim, chic suits, hose, matching handbags and heels, gloves and even HATS to travel in. I'm glad we've come a long way and can dress a bit more comfortably. But no excuse for yoga or sweat pants, ripped jeans, tight/revealing clothing. Doesn't have to be fancy - even decent, well-fitting jeans with a blazer, loafers, coordinating handbag and classy, minimal jewelry can be appropriate. It is the attention to detail, the fit, quality and cut that will make the difference!
These are great travel tips. I would give the following additional tips: - If you’re checking in a bag, have an extra outfit (including undergarments) in case the airlines misplace your bag. - If it’s a long flight, have the following in your carry-on bag if you’re checking in a bag: an additional extra outfit (including undergarments) to change into when you land, baby wipes or personal care wipes to freshen up if you don’t have access to a shower when you land, dry shampoo, and of course your makeup, deodorant and perfume. While a lot of luxury lounges have shower facilities for their first class passengers, most people aren’t traveling at that level. - Also for long flights, wear your hair in a stylish but easy style that doesn’t get messy easily. For example, I’ll wear my hair in a low topsy-tail ponytail, a French braid, or a Dutch braid. - Also for long flights, if you can do this, follow the new time zone for a week before you travel. This prevents or reduces jet lag.
Let your travel clothes strike the right balance between presentabiity and comfort. Pack light. Pack right. When traveling, less is good. Arrive at the airport early. Do your research on where you are traveling. Weigh your luggage beforehand. Have a vanity bag inside your handbag to freshen up. Touch up your makeup and freshen your hair before stepping down from the plane.
I wish I had lived through the days that people dressed up for all events, including airplanes, cruise ships, and even dinner! Let's bring it back ladies! I appreciate all your tips, I cannot wait to hop on the airplane to somewhere magical!
I agree completely. I do my best to dress well despite the limitations of the pandemic restricting the enclosed places I frequent. I receive so many compliments for wearing dresses or skirts instead if the torn jeans that are so inexplicably popular. Whenever possible I wear mid heel pumps but for long walks through airports, I must wear comfortable walking shoes. Do not wear new shoes. You will get blisters that will cause you misery.

Actually I met some travelers once and they were wearing hair nets and dressed shabbily at the airport. I felt bad because they were Africans like myself and sadly we know how some people perceive Africans to be. Thank you for the video.
When selecting luggage, I go to T J Maxx for a distinctive pattern. It makes identifying my luggage at the airport quickly and easily as well a deterring thieves from absconding with such uncommon luggage. A lightweight raincoat or pashmina has rescued me many times from very chilly aircraft cabins. Limit salty snacks to avoid swollen feet and ankles. Purchase compression hosiery for a long flight. They are usually unattractive so wear them only during the flight unless you are traveling in slacks.
There are some brands of compression hose that look like opaque tights and pantyhose. They are very expensive because they’re made more for people with health challenges, but they’re worth the price.
These were some great tips. As someone who flew a lot in all cabins (mostly emirates as I lived in Dubai), the ultimate signs of wealth and luxury are (some were mentioned but I'm just sharing my experience) Travelling light Don't take onboard amenities off the aircraft Wear clean shoes and ironed clothes Don't open your luggage at the airport Arrive early and eat at the lounge (if you eat too much on-board, especially in premium cabin, you look cheap) Bring one pair of spare clothes in case you stain it on the journey. I feel this elegance stuff for a black woman often means trying too hard. Even with a clean properly fitted tracksuit and white sneakers you can look chic while travelling. Too much makeup, false lashes and all just looks like youre trying too hard imo. Hydrate your skin during the flight. Just know that water dries the skin so you constantly need to spray. Sometimes a light oil is better. If you're seated at the window with your face turned against and it's a night flight, you can use a sheet mask for 10 min. In economy you'll have a bit less privacy to do that though.
I always try to dress well whenever I fly, whether it’s a 2hr flight or a 14hr flight. Most people seem to turn up in their pyjamas. First class passengers are often the worst.
It has amazed me that you have had to create a upload on this subject. It's a given to me. Though what I hadn't considered in the past is packing some clothing in my hand luggage.
I'm an older lady and I so appreciate your message. Woman of all ages don't present themselves as if they respect themselves and the people around them. And we Americans are the worst! It doesn't have to cost a lot to go out in the world looking decent.
So fabulous seeing a video on travel wardrobe! As a European life traveler I was always taught to dress smart while traveling, no sweatpants, flip flops, etc, even if yr flying to a beach destination! Linen pants blazer with tank top very nice👍 or a jersey midi dress with blazer for men always a jacket and trousers, no shorts or sweatpants please. America has gotten very sloppy through the generations. I love the way you enumerate your points 👍👍
I agree. Save the beachwear for the beach. We were touring some churches in the UK and having some Americans show up in cutoffs, flip flops...just ugh. I skirt you can roll up and pull on and a scarf in your bag can save you so many times.
I’m glad I saw this video when I did. I have a trip coming up and I have a history of dressing down for airports but that changes now. I will strongly consider my appearance for EVERY occasion
You're so funny :D *the chicken soup got me* Pack right, pack light is definitely my mantra. I'm that person that travels with just a carry-on for 7-14 days. I'll do whatever it takes in order to simplify my travel.
Oh my God! I can't stress researching about your destination enough! Last December, my sister and I visited Dubai and it was our first time. Coming from the UK, eating on public transport was a norm but not in Dubai. We were both eating on the bus and chatting our a*sses away. We noticed everyone looking at us funny but we didn't pay any attention to them 😂😂😂. We almost got fined 😂😂😂. It was an amazing experience, I loved it.
There's even variation in the UK - don't eat or drink on the bus in Edinburgh and keep your feet off the seats. Also in Edinburgh, we thank the driver when we get off the bus. Respect queues or you'll be called out on it.
Great video! Let me add. Pack some period hygiene products in case your period pops out unannounced. Not all aircrafts/airports provide sanitary products.
For me a black structured blazer, coat or jacket - over anything (even a sweatsuit) - ALWAYS makes me feel like a Business Class Boss, even if I'm flying Economy 😂This intro was one of your best! The chances of meeting The One at the airport, are always there. It's best to stay ready! 👏
Hi Vivienne, this is my first time reviewing some of your videos and they are awesome! Thanks for taking the time to keep us ladies on top of our daily living.💐
Really good advice. A few years ago I lost my luggage on a direct fly. And there I was, in the middle of an unfamiliar, very stylish metropolis in my sweaty clothes that I had been wearing for 20 hours. Searching for new clothes was incredibly embarrassing! 🙈 Next time I make sure I have spare clothes in my carry-on baggage! 🤦
This happened to me, they forgot my luggage and I had to wait for 3 days. Lesson learnt, I always have spare clothes in my carry on and all my hygiene products 😊
Cant wait to travel again with all these precise and prudent guidance!!!! We love you Elegant Woman (of the night) - just playing. I recommend the Globetrotter suitcase range for unbeatable swanky travel to let all eyes on you know that YOU have arrived
Here's one that I think will work. Wore a navy blue pant suit, fitted blazer, sleeveless turtleneck, I think. Hair was a wild and free curly style, but henna red. Wore strappy flat sandals, bronze in color, matching my skin tone with one diamond shaped grey jewelike appliqué on each instep barely showing from under the pant hems as I walked. The pants were slightly flared. I had on candy apple polish on my toenails, and glossed them to death. Was on my way to get Chines food! Older Chinese gent in there... his eyes just dropped straight to my feet. Best compliment I ever got without a word being said. It matters, ladies, how you dress....
Thank you for sharing this video with us dear 💕. You are truly an inspiration to all of us. All the time we get to learn something from your videos. Keep inspiring everyone and always stay happy and well. Lots of ❤ and good wishes for you Vivienne. Have a winning day😊
First things first: your blouse is beautiful! I love the embroidery! Regarding the subject matter, I'm so glad you addressed the hair bonnet. It's one of those things that reflect upbringing. I was raised to believe that curlers, shower caps, hair bonnets, and nets are to be worn in the house. They are not acceptable to wear in public, or once you leave the house. My mother was also a stickler about nice socks and underwear, among many other things. I suppose that's why I enjoy your videos. Thanks for another great one! =0)

😊 Shabby in Navajo language means, Shy! I appreciate the opportunity and guidance of turning into a proper lady etiquette! This is on my vision booklet 2022. I thank you kindly 💓
I always try to dress comfortably when I travel, but admittedly, I look a wreck.... AND I am juggling too much baggage! I always admire vintage photos of women traveling and still looking put together. You really have pulled off the look of both ease and style for travel.
New on your channel, and after reviewing many videos, you are my favorite. We are traveling abroad and your tone and poise suits my style besides your choice of clothing is preferred. Thank you very much. I love when sloggers get to the point and do not waist my time. I am in a rush, thank you kindly.
Thank you dear Woman of Elegance. You have made some very good points about travel. Not even a month ago I took a much beloved jacket on a trip and left it in the conference room at the hotel. I went back the next morning and even the lost and found at the hotel did not have it. It was a gift and several years old but I wore it everyday. I mourn its loss. I had an aunt that when we traveled, left jewelry bags in the taxis. When traveling overseas, I was so worried about the weight limit, I took the bag to the airport that was close by and weighed the bag ahead of time. I was so relieved and I did not worry once I got to the airport with my group. Taking just enough but not too much is good advice that I am struggling with. But knowing that I have to lug heavy bags by myself all over makes me wary to over pack. I think that we should always seek to look elegant as ladies whenever we are traveling and going anywhere. And do research on what the country you are going to in order to not stick out. It is quite enlightening. It varies place to place. Pack for layering. That is one of the most sound advice I could give. You never know when it is going to be chilly or hot.
Since I don't do tropical vacations but choose temperate climates, I always travel in well-coordinated business-casual clothing, but nothing that I haven't worn before (so that I know it's comfortable and functional--no pinching or pulling, enough pockets et cetera). People serving me along my journey always treat me better because of it. I get that table, that extra mile that people are happy to go.
I love your playful side! Feel free to show it more often in your videos. However, when it comes to your list, I would like to add one more tip; bring something to read, like a paperback book. Don't trust the inflight magazine will be interesting enough for hours. Besides, most likely you will get plenty of time both at the airport and at the hotel. Educate and entertain yourself also when you are on the move! (Don't forget; the cover of your book might be visible for any dashing & smart guy, unlike the content on your phone or tablet..)
You look like a classy and elegant young lady. Thank you for addresses those HIDEOUS bonnets. I was just in the airport and there was a BLACK MOM with her two daughters and they were wearing those RIDICULOUS bonnetts!!!!!
Miss Vivienne, Thank you for your continuing guidance and sound advice. I so prefer your elegant and articulate style to any other presenter. May I ask you please to consider making a video about your own wardrobe. The top you are wearing in this video is beautiful and I would love to know where you purchase your clothing from. Always so stylish and attractive. Thank you.
Excellent points. Always look presentable and on your A-Game even when traveling. Could you provide us with a video of how to deal and respond to difficult or rude people. I know you have touched on this subject before but perhaps you would be willing go in depth.
Your content are so helpful and informative. Thank you for another great video. Well done! Your hair is lovely. Would you please consider doing a hair tutorial?
To whoever is reading this know that you are loved. You are important and God has a purpose for your life. So many people lost their lives to COVID but God spared us. It’s time to change how we show up in the world. Walk in your calling! How many signs do you need? You are Chosen!
Love your vids they are funny but so true. I got to come to the UK. She said a gentleman at Zurich that's a zoologist 🧐🤗. I'm here for the vocabulary expansion and dialect😊 Travel attire, What about Nike or polo jumpsuits is that borderline shabby or does it scream American🤔🙄?
I would like to put in a little comment too. I find I'm most comfortable dressed as if I'm going to work.... comfortable shoes... trousers and jacket ....a nice coat. I take only one medium sized suitcase and I put everything for the trip in it. A nice tote bag with the necessaire to freshen up.... nothing extra... everything is in the suitcase. I don't look flustered and the suitcase almost takes care of itself, very nicely, with its four little wheels. I've just had a shower and my hair is clean. My skin has always got to be in excellent condition and just some blush and lipstick. No mascara...it wears off anyway. It's the skincare that is essential for me and I consider it the real cherry on the cake. End of my little comment!
Thank you so much for addressing this! I was raised to dress appropriately when traveling but these days people really try to convince themselves that wearing bonnets and pajamas to the airport is normal and acceptable. I can’t stand to see it and you wouldn’t even catch me at the mailbox in such. But it’s so controversial these days.

That airport guy you just described lives rent free in my head hahaha 😆 😅 😂 thanks,!
You're so funny :D *the chicken soup got me*
Pack right, pack light is definitely my mantra. I'm that person that travels with just a carry-on for 7-14 days. I'll do whatever it takes in order to simplify my travel.
Wow, perfect timing!! 👏🏼I travel on Wednesday! Thank you💕💕🌹
Don't forgets to travel we me
Wow!!! No eating in public?!
@@peppaminttea not allowed during Ramadan because they are fasting. All Islamic countries
There's even variation in the UK - don't eat or drink on the bus in Edinburgh and keep your feet off the seats. Also in Edinburgh, we thank the driver when we get off the bus. Respect queues or you'll be called out on it.
I love this woman! She is my favorite!
Wonderful I am so glad to listen to you , I recall old movies how elegant women and men were, would be great to see elegant people
Hi Vivienne, this is my first time reviewing some of your videos and they are awesome!
Of the night😂
I love your advice in all your videos. You never go wrong.
I wish more women would grasp the inexcusable importance of exuding a positive image EVERY TIME they are in public.
Me too!
Yuck. Psycho
Thanks so much Vivienne. You've got really rich content. You are, The Elegant Women.
Have a winning day😊
Thank you for teaching us class
First things first: your blouse is beautiful! I love the embroidery! Regarding the subject matter, I'm so glad you addressed the hair bonnet. It's one of those things that reflect upbringing. I was raised to believe that curlers, shower caps, hair bonnets, and nets are to be worn in the house. They are not acceptable to wear in public, or once you leave the house. My mother was also a stickler about nice socks and underwear, among many other things. I suppose that's why I enjoy your videos. Thanks for another great one! =0)
I work at Athens international Airport, and every day l see so many people. Elegant women are rare. ..l try to be elegant to my work, clean, fresh, kind.
I agree with you,l have so many thinks to tell you for an another video, very specially, l ll talk as an airport security.
😊 Shabby in Navajo language means, Shy!
I appreciate the opportunity and guidance of turning into a proper lady etiquette! This is on my vision booklet 2022. I thank you kindly 💓
I dress up just to go to my kitchen so for sure anywhere else Absolutely lol 💃🏾
Oh my god, I love you mam. Thank you for these valuable lessons. I would certainly take care of these basics. Thank you ❤️
Thanks for the video
I love it I'm going travel next month I will apply the tips ☺
I always try to dress comfortably when I travel, but admittedly, I look a wreck.... AND I am juggling too much baggage! I always admire vintage photos of women traveling and still looking put together. You really have pulled off the look of both ease and style for travel.
Thank you so much Viviane for all those wonderful tips for traveling as elegant woman❤🙏🙏🙏
You are absolutely right about treating staff with respect so important
I love your playful side! Feel free to show it more often in your videos. However, when it comes to your list, I would like to add one more tip; bring something to read, like a paperback book. Don't trust the inflight magazine will be interesting enough for hours. Besides, most likely you will get plenty of time both at the airport and at the hotel. Educate and entertain yourself also when you are on the move! (Don't forget; the cover of your book might be visible for any dashing & smart guy, unlike the content on your phone or tablet..)
Very grateful for the tips. You're an awesome woman and I always learn something new from your channel. Continue being an exceptional woman!
You look like a classy and elegant young lady. Thank you for addresses those HIDEOUS bonnets. I was just in the airport and there was a BLACK MOM with her two daughters and they were wearing those RIDICULOUS bonnetts!!!!!
Here for these weekly videos! ❤🥰👏🏼
I just love all your videos and I hear your voice while I am reminding myself to be elegant. 💕💕

This intro was amazing...thank you so much for another classy one.

Vivienne you're very helpful. Thank you!
Thanks 🙏 for all you do
Your content are so helpful and informative. Thank you for another great video. Well done! Your hair is lovely. Would you please consider doing a hair tutorial?
The packing light part is what I need to work on. Never overweight, just a lot of “just in case” outfits lol.
I’m glad when I stumble upon videos like this , I always advise my friends to dress some what nicely when going to the airport but nooo
Thanks for a great list and perfect explanations! /Marie from Sweden
My best teacher ever❤❤
To whoever is reading this know that you are loved. You are important and God has a purpose for your life. So many people lost their lives to COVID but God spared us. It’s time to change how we show up in the world. Walk in your calling! How many signs do you need? You are Chosen!
Amen
Love it! He just landed in from Zurich!!
Wow. Quite enlightening. Thank you for the advice.
wow my 1st time to watch ur vdeo ,u are great, the info is clear, u have similar ontent with Anna Bey, the most popular elegant vlogger on utube. I like your tips
Hahahah. It’s the bonnet for me! Women abuse that hair gear so much!
Your videos are very educational... I applaud you.. love you much dear elegant woman 🤝😍
I work at the airport, and when I see some passengers I wonder what's going on in their heads 🤦🏽♀️
We need details about this please! What is the worst thing you have seen/ experienced?
