Dude is taking his time, showing us a new figure, and carefully transforming it while he slowly explains it piece by piece. Anyway, I just got my Dragstrip in today and cant wait to get him combined. I heard that too. DX9 ending. Them not sticking with their alt name for Dragstrip. Etc. I suspect that one of the reasons the head is so visible in car mode is because they cut short the development and rushed this out sooner than was originally intended. Perhaps the short heel issue and some of the limited (only 90 degree of bend) on the elbows and knees are a result of the greater company issue too.
I always appreciate how thorough you are with your videos. Taking the time to make sure you show things like the lack of clearance for his face in alt mode if the head was turned around is just a minor example. Also always taking the time to show the whole team together in each mode which means transforming every team member every time you do a new video for the group. You are also the best reviewer I've seen about making sure to show exactly where the parts go in the transformation (focusing on the tab and the slot in question).
I think the Orion Pax was just something they finished but knew they would never have the chance to release alone (I believe we first saw a test shot shortly after DX9's Kup was released years ago) so they threw it in for their long term fans to have a chance to have it finally. It is one of the few times the OS KO was released before the figure itself.
I feel like they just said "eff it" with this guy, from the crappy instructions, to the visible head, to actually calling him "Dragstrip". I was able to get his head to turn around by using some sand paper/ dremel to make some room for that schnoz.
Honestly I like DX9's boxes as much as, if not more than, their figures most times. I can't say that about other companies. This one in particular the quote is ironic, "Only the first to cross the finish line can survive". DX9 is the first of the Menasors to cross the finish line, but they are also the one of the 3 that is closing their doors.

It looks like there would have been enough room to install the neck on small thoop slider to give the head that little bit of clearance it needed to be turned around for vehicle mode. They could have even made the back of the head untab and rotate to show off a seat decal or something
That cockpit area looks like it was supposed to come with a partsform-y panel to cover the head in vehicle mode... which would create a hilarious feedback loop in the complainers: "But partsforming!" _klik_ "But visible head!" _klik_ "But partsforming...!" _klik_ "But visible head...!"
I received a 3d printed seat filler piece for Dragstrip. You can't see the face anymore 🤣. But you have to remove it when going into robot or combine mode

For Everyone, the first incarnation of Dragstrip was first introduced in the Gen 1 cartoon as a Vehicon. He was a component of the Combiner Menasor. He was built to combat the Autobots, and the Autobots built the Aerialbots to combat the Decepticons.
Nope, it's game over for DX9 and their last hurrah to the fans was to finish Menasor before they close the doors, hopefully just rebranding themselves, we dont know for sure yet
It's rip the vehicle in 2 and slap it on a combiner frame, its not that interesting to watch. Something he probably will do in the combiner video so just have patience
Personally I’ve seen too many deception combiners. Need more love for the autobot combiners lol (Computron and Victrion especially) Not coming at Emgo, this is to the third party companies lol

I think the official Hasbro trademark is for "Decepticon Dragstrip", not just "Dragstrip", so they were able to skirt around it that way maybe.

You can manoeuvre those heels down a bit so they get in contact with the floor and give him more balance and will not fall back.
