I know this will sound like sacrilege but… these guys kinda feel like a modern version of the OG Scramble City dudes. Now I know that's a cursed sentence, but like, those guys were also very simplistic, and only ever had enough engineering to give them shoulders, and by the time they combine they end up as bricks who could only move the arms (yes there was the base modes but like, nine times out of ten kids wouldn't really do the base modes and just have the big robot). Really, the differences between them are stuff like the general engineering and that toys of that era and toys when this was released were in very different places and thought processes.
i get what you're saying but personally I disagree. in G1, yes, the combiners were basically bricks, but you could also do something with the separate components, the transformations were, while still incredibly easy, a bit more involved than these, and if you're lucky you could get combiner components with actual usuable articulation, like Hun-gurr for example, he had actually good leg articulation
@Jason49110 I can see your point, these guys were basically doomed the moment they tried making them since Transformers was in rough shape at the time, just that it's a shame since if they tried to make them a bit more like the OGs this and Ultra Bee would be fun little sets (and also fix the issue of space for people since they and the original Scramble City guys don't take too much space).
@@5unnysCorner honestly they should've sold the components separately so they could have better engineering. G1 transformers are fun little fidget toys that you can flip back and fourth in a matter of seconds and it felt really satisfying to do (as far as I know, the only G1s I have are a KO of G1 Optimus and the 40th Edition Walmart Exclusive Soundwave) where as these are a little too easy to do and aren't really that fun
@@Jason49110 As someone who experienced the Scramble City bots through scuffed KOs, they had issues but yeah, they're great little fidget toys that had logical transformations. Honestly if they tried to do something like the old toys (with obvious regards to engineering, plastics and costs) they could be some of the most fun little dudes released. Dino King proved Core/Legends class combiners can work, just that they need some more time to cook (and probably make the main guy a Deluxe so at least there's some stability).
They need to remake the RID figures because jesus these figures sucked and the designs from the show were awesome even though the show itself was mid. Edit: I agree it is an awful followup to tfp but I just like how they designed MOST of the characters.
Not for me The warrior toys others are bad, but the most of warrior figures are ok The designs in the show Grimlock bad Sideswipe and Bumblebee are meh The furrycons good and bad The other designs are good
@YourBizarreJoe For me only the first season The season 2 was ok The season 3 was Good The season 4 was meh But the whole show isn't bad For me it is mediocre in general
I still have this, or at least parts of it. Every individual bot has something missing 1:08 actually, my dragstrip spoiler broke out the box. 6:40 also you forgot you can extend the arms.
Wildwbreak is uust another name for Wildrider who is also just BrakeNeck in Transformers Earth wars Slash marks replaces Breakdown And Heatstroke i lost his left wheel hut meh hes the right leg
I actually have this guy and he's a fun little silly goofy guy and literally the only combiner I have lol. I remember begging my parents to get him for me years ago until they finally caved in and since then he's been a silly guy I like messing with every once in a while. I did actually forget I had him tho until I saw this video in my notifs
I think they definitely could tackle the RID combiner designs again. Obviously they can’t be a whole commander class but I think getting a multi pack of a deluxe sized Motormaster or Cyclonus with core sized limb bots would be a good idea.
I remember working at a summer camp where we had a Transformers week and one kid brought in this figure. I brought a bunch of mine over for the kids to play with and one of them came to me in tears because he thought he broke my TR Brawn. He had just popped his arm off the ball joint and that was fixed easy😅. Though my Dreadwind did get his Decepticon symbol scraped off by accident. Oh well!
The arm guys look like TFP Vehicons, though that's basically just satiung they're a sedan with extra angles. It's sad that Core Class has been cut for numerous reasons, but updating this guy with the budget of a Deluxe and four Core CClass could have been really cool. I wouldn't expect it so soon after getting the Legacy set, but then they did the Core Dinobots while the 86 Leader class team was still trickling out so perhaps it couild have been... It's unlikely the 4x5x1" peg space and ~$10-12 price point will be abandoned with how jealously brands fight over retail space so it probably won't be long before something is revealed to pick that up, but it may well be some lame little thing like the Earthspark fingertpupper things that is more TTF adjacent merch than real Transformers as such. Talking about LGC Menasor though, I had an interesting thought for if they get around to the Seacons while still using this skeleton+accessorybots format - they could have the skeletoin frame fold up into a fort mode that rides on top of Snaptrap's shell! Like an actual ye olde (sand) castle type thing, then halfass it into a gun emplacement for stand alone robot mode like for Motormaster and Silverbolt if having a ye olde castle in the background of your scene like A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court or that other episode I can't rmemeber the name of where they get involved in a pocket dimension full of wizards. Man, I really want some good Seacons, the color coordinated combiner teams really do it for me, constructicons, Aerialbots, Seacons (original or white,) Technobots somewhat, latterly the Dinobots, or various TF-adjacent stuff like the Brave series etc. I just really hope they ditch the stupid spring loaded leg doors for teams that did not canonically just pop the leg bots on the back and call it a day. Lame, ugly, restricts the knees and introduces unneccesary structural weaknesses while increasing parts count and assembly operations, there is literally no positive to be found with the damn things.
I remembered this figure from an ad trailer for the rid combiners and it was fully articulated I don't know why Hasbro didn't release those versions instead of bricks
I think the bot and vehicle modes were purely incidental in this case they were made primarily for the combiner gimmick. Which mind you could be a little more articulated . Wouldn't mind an update remake though.
Some of those guys have individual Toys Like heatseeker has Is own Toy that Is more show accurate and the transformation Is simple. (It as two different toys)
This is the second review I've seen of this that was put up in the last like two weeks. And I was wanting this not to long ago but it just costs too much
We had more intricate transformations in Prime, but this show is supposed to be a sequel, and yet, this is simplified as all heck? This is just sad. I get they're meant for kids and them only, but the figures of old were enjoyed by both kids, teens, and adults alike.
I need the duo of Dragstrip and Wildbreak in my collection. IDC about knockoff G1 Breakdown and other dude, I need my silly duo Having said that, if they made an RiD15 Menasor, I would spend too much to buy it
I've got this set on my shelf now, with extensive paint applications applied to make them somewhat more cartoon accurate; not really a fan of the plain gray faces
I know it’s a little late, but could you consider making a video on your personal picks from any transformers gifts available on the market for Christmas?
I started watching RID2015 and I can't find out where its bad. I've only watched up to episode 7, is it supposed to get worse after?? Yes there are some moments from what I've seen but after all the show was meant for an even younger audience. Most of the toyline was horrible though.
Hear me out. Yes he's poop... in every way possible. But he's marketed for kids. Like actual kids I got thos for my friends kid he loves them. For context he's new to transformers an is only 5 an loves this chunky boy. As a collection piece poop but a good starter for kids or kids perfect
i have a question if anyone can answer should i just bite the bullet and get the CW Menasor given the scalper prices for the Legacy one or should i still try to get the Legacy one? i know CW Menasor isn't good but i want to know if i should consider him an option
I'm not gonna lie: if this were a McDonald's toy, it would be straight fire.

It's at least better than the lazy frame combiners they've been putting out
I remember walking into a Walmart, seeing this, and watching videos about this, dang, memories
unpopular opinion, RID15's designs were FIRE
easily one of my favorite optimus designs
They need to remake the RID figures because jesus these figures sucked and the designs from the show were awesome even though the show itself was mid. Edit: I agree it is an awful followup to tfp but I just like how they designed MOST of the characters.
I disagree......the show was *that* bad. So bad they butchered starscream
Not for me
The warrior toys others are bad, but the most of warrior figures are ok
The designs in the show
Grimlock bad
Sideswipe and Bumblebee are meh
The furrycons good and bad
The other designs are good
Ehhh imo the designs were sauceless versions of the prime ones
The show suck hard ass
@YourBizarreJoe For me only the first season
The season 2 was ok

The season 4 was meh

I wish these guys got warrior figures

6:40 also you forgot you can extend the arms.
never forget this mini beefcake.
“We need an update in Generation’s line, It’s weird”.
I have a soft spot for this menasor (and by extension Ultra Bee, and Galvatronus) bc this was my first menasor
Same
My first Menasor was the 2005 Cybertron toy. I had a lot more fun with that one. I didn't even bother with the one That Toy Guy showed us.
Wildwbreak is uust another name for Wildrider who is also just BrakeNeck in Transformers Earth wars
Slash marks replaces Breakdown
And Heatstroke i lost his left wheel hut meh hes the right leg
They're gonna build *AN ARMY OF COMBINERS!*
*Windblade:* "They would never dare."
Yo extend his arms
FR 😂
Best transformer youtuber EVERR
"This is just stupid, but I love it because it's stupid"
That about sums up nearly everything I like.

What a silly goober. I had to find PCC parts to make a abombination. DON'T GET THE WHIRL ONE ITS TOO SKINNY
The dragstrip and the other arm can stretch when combining to make longer arms
This set I kinda like, just cause it’s a cheap and dinky Menasor, and I love Menasor. Also the arms can extend.
btw I have that RID combiner, plus the one with Cyclonus ect
you missed a step! the car/arms actually extend a little
Galvatronus is the name of the one with Cyclonus
Basically an modern powercore combiner...
They feel like G1 toys made with 2015 budgets
Charming in a weird way
You listening Hasbro? Full sets of 2015 rid combiners, properly built thank you.
They look like the toys you used to get in McDonald's Happy meals. Collect them all
I think they definitely could tackle the RID combiner designs again. Obviously they can’t be a whole commander class but I think getting a multi pack of a deluxe sized Motormaster or Cyclonus with core sized limb bots would be a good idea.

motor master’s head looks like someone shoved prime megatron’s head into a box
That show being a decade old is making me feel old heck I’m only 16
When combining menasor you can pull the yellow and blue car to make the arms longer
this looks really cool tbh I wish they would do a whole line of really simplistic combiners for people who don't want to spend triple digits
Wow this version of Menasor is giving me hardcore Power Rangers Turbo megazord vibes except what would happen if they gimped on everything.
I had this figure lol, I still have the blue one and Motormaster although they are heavily colored on and old
Can't wait for 2015 RiD to get their missing link figures in 2055

I didn’t forget about it because out of all my toys I had when I was little this was one of the only transformers I kept
People that are watching in 2015
To this day I don’t understand how they went from the top tier transformers prime toys to that
I get nostalgia for menasor, galvatronus and ultra bee
I thought breakdown and deadend was in RID
I remembered this figure from an ad trailer for the rid combiners and it was fully articulated I don't know why Hasbro didn't release those versions instead of bricks
I actually owned this and your completely right these were so fun to just flip back and forth between alt mode robot mode and combine mode
I had this toy as a kid alongside with the ultrabee version
I can assure you, I did NOT forget about this.
This is the best review I’ve ever seen!!!
I kind like these goober combiners. Just quick lil desk toys to flip around
I wanted Bruticus from that promotional image
I still have this but i lost the sword
But for a combiner rhats the size of a Voyager its weirdly good
I think the bot and vehicle modes were purely incidental in this case they were made primarily for the combiner gimmick.

The limbs are simpler than G1 stunticons from 40 years ago. The combined mode is better than the individuals which is the opposite of CW.

I like the combiner wars optimus mold
This wouldve been a neat fast food toy😂
Drag strip be built like an "L"
8:57 HE KNOWS ABOUT TOKU!?
Nice review
gotta hand it to them, at least they paid attention to the continuity and didn't bring back knockout nor breakdwon (again, again)
Imagine: these, STUDIO SERIES
These would have been ok McDonald’s toys in 2003.
Motormaster looks like Prime Megatron
idk about the other two but the reason they didn't have breakdown is bc RID2015 is a sequel to prime and breakdown died in it
Y'know what, I completely forgot about that fact lol. Ur absolutely right
lmao Grimlock can return despite being MIA if the FOC game is supposed to be aligned.
@@metrosaurusrex7012 apparently they are 2 different people
The only Menasor I can afford
I need the duo of Dragstrip and Wildbreak in my collection. IDC about knockoff G1 Breakdown and other dude, I need my silly duo
Having said that, if they made an RiD15 Menasor, I would spend too much to buy it
I hate 2015 RID, it was to kiddie-base and colored which just didn’t feel mature enough unlike prime which was golden
I didn't forget about this one. I had it.
😢it was really sad, one year for Christmas I asked for menasor and THIS is what I got😭😭😭
Hey, when's the review for Voyager Animated Blitzwing coming?
I've got this set on my shelf now, with extensive paint applications applied to make them somewhat more cartoon accurate; not really a fan of the plain gray faces
Reminds me of Machine Robo Rescue.
You should do a mega review of every combiner
even tho i dont like RID due to its connection with PRIME and how it makes the characters so...BAD, the menasor looks dope
I remember.
What brand is your microwave?
I know it’s a little late, but could you consider making a video on your personal picks from any transformers gifts available on the market for Christmas?
Hear me out
I actually kinda like these simplistic and derpy toys
oh i had that set untill
mneasor and the funky bunch
Dumb move to have 2 guys be so boring and grey, why not make them actually colorful
I had this and the galvotronus one before but i lost it.
Day 24 of asking ttg to make a review on legacy prowl mold(I owned these guys since 2020)
like the tfa prowl right?
@LIMITLESS2774 yeah he never reviewed it
Teria só para fazer uma versão de Shattered Glass
I had this toy
My grandma got me this
What!? El video tiene audio en español? 🤯
Hi that toy guy, i am a big follower of your contents. My question is why you buy any transformers? For example this? Thank you
Probably the same reason I did, I like it for what it is ultimately. Or it looks cool lol
GOOD 4 KIDS
I wanted this back when it came out 😅 still don't have it 😂😪
Legacy blitzwing
É só pra mim?ou o título do vídeo tá em português(Brasil)

And do a paint job on it to make it more nice.
