Ok. this is great. But now I have tons more questions. LOL. There were many items that you scored the box and just folded it over and taped. But you didn’t tape all the gaps. Is that ok? Or did you go back and wrap them with the brown paper? I’m always afraid to use the brown paper because I’m afraid it will rip. Also… what is the scoring tool you are using to score the cardboard called? I’ve also looked for the scissors before and couldn’t find any. I’ll check out the link to the other. It looks so much faster. Do you have a link for the cardboard you use as well?
Using the leather work stitching wheel to make perforations in cardboard for the folding lines GENIUS . You get a Noddy badge. Best wishes from Port Elizabeth South Africa
Thank you for the tips! Etsy already charges so many fees that make no sense that we need to save every where possible. And fees are going up again soon. Loved watching you pack the orders, I learned a few tricks from you. Never thought to ship the signs and rounds that way. Great ideas.
Taking all the advice I can get. I don't have very heavy items but I've been thinking of adding some small wood items to my shop. Going to do good research on weight like you mentioned. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for this video. Since I am just about to open my store I will definitely keep these tips in mind. I love the electric scissors and will think about investing in one.
Thank you for this video. Great information. I do have a question...I purchased a Rollo printer for my 4x6 labels and going through tutorial of setting this up there is a section called Ship Manager. Have you used this process? I might not use USPS or UPS or FedEx but maybe Ship Pirate or whatever. Is this a step I should do in case I use what Rollo is affiliated with? Thanks!
GReat tips! I’m still building our website on Wix… can you use pirate ship with Wix? The shipping has me a little confused. Also. Where did you find your cardboard sheets?
do you ever have a problem with ups coming back and charging you a huge surcharge because they said it is irregular size. I have never had it till recently and got hit with a $13 additional charge saying it was irregular shape and cost $20 with that cost to ship a 3lb item. I have disputed it but doubt it will help. I made the package just like you are doing. why do you use the wax paper?
🤣 I don't feel that way! I wish I could focus more and get more done at once. I get distracted very easily and have about 20000 things going on at once lol
Sallie…I’m gonna save you some time and also help the cardboard look better…..stop cutting the cardboard. Make the designs you need, save the file, cut the cardboard in the laser.
@@SimplySallie if you need the same sized cutouts, or you send out multiple shipments of those “odd” shaped packages, it’s best to batch them and save them. Maybe 10 at a time. So do them all..one after the other…until you have an amount that keeps you from having to do it again for a little while. That way the time portion of it isn’t “costly”.
Tell John I said hi. I haven’t seen him on , either he is busy, or you know how to hide the bodies. Sorry this is not what the video is about. I love making boxes.

do you leave the boxes open or cover with something else in a final step

Wish I had some of your energy, you're like the Duracell bunny.

Would that cutter you linked work with foam boards?
Like the ones from dollar tree? Yes!
Do you buy your cardboard sheets locally? Or are you buying from an online source?
It was an online source but I didn't have a good experience with the company so I won't recommend them! But yes they are cardboard sheets 😊

I thought about doing this too! I'm going to give it a try and see how long it takes to set up and cut. Thanks for the reminder!

🤣🤣🤣 he's actually editing a video tonight. He's been super busy on jobs this week so he didn't have much time to make videos. He said hi!
