@@guillermo3564 They all do it. UA-cam rates them on length since you can get more commercials in a longer video - I've seen a three minute idea stretched out to a half hour. However, this video gave me good info, since I don't follow rocketry that much.
Boeing put a big gamble. if both of their test crew members burnt out or push off course during while return, it means the end of Boeing chance to be given the second time.
Too many mistakes/out of date information in this video. Soyuz does not land at sea, it's on land. Falcon 9 has flown over 360 times (not the 230 mentioned) and it's boosters have been re-flown far more than the given number.
Currently Space X Falcon 9 grounded due to 2nd stage malfunction a few weeks ago now. The broken Soyuz's cosmonauts came home in another Soyuz, not Space X Dragon. Like Starliner, Soyuz also lands on land. Only Dragon does splashdown landings.
Send it back un manned. I can’t understand why this option has not been seriously considered. One it would serve has a test and no risk of life lost or chances of it. If they are confident and systems check out then send it. Send up some SpaceX suites for Suni and Butch and have them ride back.
Damm!!!! It's very tragic. Nothing more important in this world is to have a successful Starliner. In today's technology, I would of expected better from Boeing.
I think the good luck has left a long time ago when the leader took all the money and put 10 cents into there unit , btw Space X rocket has set record at 23 times back to reuse
Beginning next week, teams will run the thruster through similar conditions that Starliner experienced after launch on the way to the space station. The tests will include replicating the phase of the Crew Flight Test from launch to docking. Then tests will be performed to replicate what thrusters will experience from undocking to landing.
The astronauts are not "stranded"; even with recent Falcon 9 issues, there is a Soyuz lifeboat permanently docked at the ISS for just this sort of eventuality. And Soyuz has been servicing the ISS successfully for 24 years. It may be time to eat humble pie and defer to Roscosmos.
You can't compare Soyuz spacecraft and space X crew dragon... Soyuz remains the most reliable after decades... A leak can happen to any spacecraft with life support system. Space X is yet to face it's own difficulties...
Considering the PROVEN reliability of Dragon, why are they still even working on Starliner? Can Starliner (assuming they get it working right someday) do things Dragon can't? Is it cheaper to launch? Higher payload? WHAT?
The CEO of Boyne doubled his salary. Before the company falls up, I believe because it’s all about profit for these people and the hell for everything else and the people who died.
People need to ask why the engineering talent at Space X didn't get hired by Boeing, or should I say why aren't they working for Boeing. I guarantee Boeing has a better benefits package than Space X, so why aren't these people working for Boeing? I can say with confidence that you need to look at the money. When we designed and built the Saturn V and the Apollo CM, we did not have 1 tenth the engineering software available that we have today, slide rules ruled the day, no Catia, no Excel etc, yet the lack of engineering skill is very apparent in many industries.
It's not a shame to ask the Russians for help, they have the most reliable space fleet, they even have a ready-to-launch spacecraft, one phone call and Putin will help us out!
It makes us look like assholes in this country. Now they can’t even fucking put up an astronaut up in space they’re gonna lose those people they know they are.
NASA should have canceled Boeing s contract years ago after cost overruns, delays and technical problems! Send Crew Dragon and forget about the black eye it gives Boeing!

This is what happens when you hire based on skin color and sexual orientation instead of skill and qualification. But at least we know those astronauts aren't misgendering each other, and that's what's really important.
Nothing new at all here. The Starliner crew is not stranded or stuck. Sounds like a bunch of SpaceX junkies put this together with very little research or analysis of the facts.
Considering NASA had them evacuate into Starliner when the ISS was in danger from space debris. I’d say they are fully prepared to ride it home. You don’t evacuate a crew during an emergency to something that won’t bring them home safely.
@@airjump1 If they could safely ride it home they would have done so. Star liner was occupied during that event so as to put as much of the station between the debris trajectory and sanctuary. This has little to do with star liners fitness for safe return to earth.
Why does the US Army accept the dire and long-term situation with the Boeing Apache AH64E, safety, reliability, and only having 20% operational due to parts shortages and contracted labor.
In reality , shouldn't have been allowed to take off in the 1st place, cause of the problems it was having . All said it was all too with the almighty $$$$$$$$$$ .
This a lot of misinformation - the Boeing Space Division is completely seperate from Boeing passenger airlplane division ! This video is all unnecessary negative crap !
Finally. Accepting the truth is the best way out for everyone. Go Space X!

I am thinking Airbus is safer plane
You would think that they would build these better then their planes, thanks for throwing our taxas away NASA.
Space X can not launch the Falcon 9 rocket until the FAA gives their approval.
Who honestly would used Boeing or blue origin , its ridiculous
They're the second biggest military contractor so they have a lot of $Influence in Congress.
If NASA prioritised astronaut safety Crew Dragon would already be on the way. 🤔
They want to give Boeing chances since they gave them more money then SpaceX 😂

Yes, Crew Dragon is versatile but not enough for unpredicted emergencies, as the Dreamchaser can deal.

Rename the Starliner. Call it "SS Minnow" of marooned, "Gilligans island" fame. It marooned the crew too.

No. That is a toy. A quick flight up to 100km and back down is orders of magnitude easier than getting into orbit.
