Great choice of parts for the STI. Please please please consider getting an IAG AOS V3 and a cylinder 4 cooling mod. Those two are probably the best reliability mods that you can do for the EJ. The cylinder mod reduced the fine knock on mine instantly.

Kartboy short shifter was the first mod I did to my 20 sti. Night and day difference. Highly recommend for anyone thinking about doing this mod

Literally just bought a white 2021 sti with under 5k on it so it’s awesome to see these videos. Wish I could keep up with these mods though 😂

Fun episode! Ricky seems to make work a good time. Also I love bolt ons as much as the next guy but I would like to see something unique done to the STI.
They probably want to stay away from legal problems considering they’re in CA.

8th gen civic next please… they are cheap to come across and the K20z3 with full bolt on + Hondata is a RIPPER… Throw on a Kraftwerks supercharger and it’s over 300 wheel with stock motor… I know because it’s my daily lol… would be a great giveaway car… Dustin gave away a Mugen 8th gen a while back

Please use OEM Subaru oil filter. All other filter is junk for a Subaru engine. They design the Subaru oil filter to help oil starvation on startup due to flat engine. And they have a different design flow back valve made to work for those engines but love build

I bought a brand new 2016 sti and part of the deal was the short shifter and bushings. Dealer said nothing about how long it would take. They gave me a loaner at 7am, I went to work and came back at the end of the day. They were like wtf are you doing here? Uh, picking my car up...? They acted like I was a jack ass for not reading their mind on time frame. Took them 3 days to do the shifter. 3 days.

If shifter went from 5.5 to 8.5 (3” play) and then 4 5/8” to 7” (2 3/8” play) that’s only 5/8” difference lol. How y’all get 1.5” in play difference? I can see the 1.5 over all distance when in 4th gear but I figured their claims were 1” reduction in play (between gears). 3rd is a whole inch further forward.
It was basically .75" difference because it seems like none of them can read a tape measure. Go back and look the tape measure for yourself. It looked like 5.5 to 8.75 stock and 4.5 to 7 after up cobb. What they should have done is used a piece of tap on the knob to have a good reference point to make it easier to measure. Also using the same knob because the stock knob looked shorter that would add some variance as well.

hello guys... in my 2020 wrx sti I also installed a kartboy short shifter, but I had a problem with the bushing because when I installed all the vibrations were felt inside the cabin of the car
