You are the definitely the most inspiring nurse that I watch on the daily. You're not the traditional student & I can relate to your situation a whole toooonnn. I've also been through thousands of dollars in debt when I was 18. I became a mom at 18. I got married at 19. I never knew I wanted to be a nurse until life put me under some tough circumstances. I'm 21 and still doing my prereqs. Hopefully by the time I'm 25 I'll graduate with my RN. I'm not the traditional student either, and I GREATLY appreciate your niche because it's just refreshing to not see another nurse talking about her new mercedez, her new travel assignment, her new vacation. You're humble and your whole channel is just so wholesome. Thank you for your little gold mine!!!
I am currently an LPN but I was a CNA for 13 yrs, Medical Assistant for 5yrs and currently in school for my RN. I took baby steps in my career but each step was necessary for me in my journey.
Did u notice a big pay difference from MA to LPN? Ive heard people say MAs do alot of what LPNS do, did u find that to be true? congrats on working on ur RN
Sorry for the late response. I work at a Family practice clinic and my pay went from $14.50 to $19.20. I also work at a nursing home where my pay is $25.00.I only work at the nursing home to get experience and I am definitely learning a LOT. I still so the same duties that a Medical Assistant does, but now I do much more such as calling patients to give them labs results, Medicare wellness visit, refugee clinic and medication refills. Although the clinic does not pay much, I could not see myself leaving the outpatient work. After finishing the RN program I want to go back and get my BSN in hopes of becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Hello..and congratulations to you! I am so glad you did this video. So many people nowadays especially young people out of high school think you need to go straight into a Rn program and that lpn is a waist of time. But you shown it is Not! I applaud you and wish I had taken this route years ago. God bless you in all your future endeavors!
I am with you. I have been an LPN for 10yrs. I am finally going back for my RN currently. I don't regret it either. I have gotten some awesome experience, and I have made great money as well. Awesome Video!
You hit on ALL the reasons why I want to do LPN. Can make money quicker, helping my family be financially stable as soon as possible. Also, the LPN to RN tuition can be covered by the company I’m working for. LPN is win-win for me.
I don't regret at all going for my LPN, has a mother of 3 I don't have time to be on nobody waiting list. I try the RN route and that didn't work, so I decided to go with the LPN. Lpn make money too, besides the residents or patients don't care if you RN or LPN to they just want to be care for. Thanks for the video sis
I’m in LPN school now & although it has NOT been a breeze , I know it will be rewarding !! I’ll be done in July of 2019.... couple of more months to go!!
Hey Ms.B I'm currently in LPN school and watching this video shows me I've made the right choice you do what works for you and that's why I chose lpn first
I’m in an accelerated LPN program now and I’m so glad I decided to go this route. I have 8 months left! Thank you for this video! Congratulations on your new baby! 🥰😁🦋🙌🏾

Thanks this video is very inspirational. I’m currently trying to enroll now in Tennessee for Lpn after being on a job that wasn’t working for too many years. I’m just going to take this thing one step at a time to become that RN that I want to be.
I’m currently in a RN program! I only have 3 semesters left and I can not wait!!!! I hate when ppl try to tell me “you should of just went straight for your bachelors you’re never goin to go back”. I chose the RN over LPN because I knew eventually I wanted to be an RN n I didn’t want to go through taking the NCLEX twice lol. I chose RN before BSN because once I finish I can still work as a nurse for that 1 year it’ll take me to get my BSN, plus the hospital pays for it lol. Everyone’s situation is different you just have to do what’s best for you and ignore all the naysayers! Half the time they ain’t even doin nothing to put themselves in a better position 🤦🏾♀️ but got the nerve to criticize!

We don’t have waiting lists here in San Diego but it is very highly competitive. Although I have good grades I didn’t want to take the chance and I jumped into the LVN program when I was accepted. Hey there i am currently in nursing school for my lpn i want to go back shortly after being an lpn to obtain my rn but right now im just trying to survive lpn school lol
I'm finishing up my second semester. I'll be starting my final semester which is the PN classes in the Summer. The PN program is a total of 3 semesters, 1 year total.
Hi, our fav nurse B. I've been a CNA, Mental Health Worker, and Head Teacher of a daycare. I've been on waiting lists for the RN BSN program. It was so many people trying to get into the program at CSU. You had to dot your i's and cross all your t's if you didn't do that you just did not get into the program. One of the counselors called me back the following semester to see if I wanted to reapply and it just wasn't worth it! I completed a license practical nursing program just this year and now I'm preparing for the N'CLEX PN. There are some register nurses I would not subscribe to their channels because sometimes the first thing you hear out of some of their mouths is an LPN's are not a real nurses. I've heard some register nurses say that and it just let me know how stupid they really are and I do not want to hear anything they have to say and some of them are not real leaders. You are inspirational to many of us and very motivational. One of my favorite interviews you did was with the PCT because she was so motivated and an inspiration as well. My focus is to passed this state board exam and looking now into LPN to RN bridge program!
Congrats on finishing school! I was looking at a few nursing channels because I’m thinking about collaborating with another UA-camr. Haven’t found someone that matches my vibe yet
My end goal is to be fnp or crna not sure yet really want to go all the way to a doctorine in nursing.
