  • I started off as a CNA and the transition from that to a nurse took time but you must focus on these three areas to be successful:
    1. Emotional/Internal transition
    2.Clinical/professional transition
    3. Managerial transition

    You are one of my greatest inspirations! I have been following you for almost a year. I have always wanted to become a nurse, but I allowed my low self esteem (mainly my speech impediment) to hinder me. Thank you so much for your informative videos and humble, bubbly personality. Thank you for being you! God bless you!

      Thanks for watching. I hope that you pursue your goal of becoming a nurse. I use to be painfully shy and cried when I had to read or talk in class. But look at me now (talking to myself in front of a camera lol) I’m still nervous about speaking in public but that’s my new skill that I’ll work on this year. Once you start going for your goals you will see so many things within yourself that you didn’t know was there.

      Purp Pineapple I read in some groups that I’m in to try using peppermint or lavender essential oils, just dab a bit under your nose before hand.... hope this helps 😊

    • @danieces.7262
      @danieces.7262 6 років тому

      I know I wasn't asked, but since I am a nurse I can say that by the time you get to dabbing oils, etc, under your nose you could be finished with the task. Some smells really can linger & affect you, but just focusing on the care of the patient seems, for me, to rid my nose of any smells ...

    • @alisaharris8926

      Vicks vapor rub under your nose helps but really you will just get over it and it, it's not that bad after awhile. Good luck.

    My dilemma as a CNA is being the middle man as far as the IV Pump beeping and I answer call light then have to call the nurse 60% of my call are for my nurse(s) the call light do not have IV pump button jst for pain. It's frustrating to me and my patients when the call should be set up to go directly to the nurse. Sn... I do investigate to make sure the pump is plugged in.

    I appreciate all your videos. They are very informative and encouraging! i'm considering lpn however, I've never imagined that I would consider this as a profession for me. Mainly because I'm nervous about what is required of me however, I need a drastic change in my finances and I love helping people in general. That might be Medical Coding and billing or something...I need something that wont take too long to learn and become certified as well as great pay and flexibility. I have a 4 yr old and I'm currently pregnant expecting my 2nd child by May 2020. Help me Jesus! I'm currently a preschool teacher which I love but it doesnt pay at all...I'm struggling so much financially and I'm sick and tired of it!

    Once I complete school for LPN, do I have to pay the tuition before bridging to RN? Or I can just keep it moving and pay for all that when I'm done with RN. Sorry for the silly question but I'm so new to this.

    • @yourfavnurseb9699
      @yourfavnurseb9699  6 років тому +2

      Michelle Wright as long as the school has their money through financial aid or loans you are fine. But if you owe tuition, you MUST pay that off before that school will release your transcripts. You need those transcripts to apply for an RN program. But if you just owe loans and your balance at the LPN school is 0 you are fine.
