I did not expect this to be so fun, but it was a real pleasure to see those two together, thanks a lot for that.
For real though!😄
I agree it was so good!
30 years and it's never lost its charm, I'm so grateful I got to experience it.
It still holds up. Just thinking where we were kids and how real it seem and how awesome this movie was then till now.
Same here I was seven when it came out.
Is that them now. Older
Me too. On the big screen when I was 10.
Indeed! Was 12/13 years old I think, at the time this came in the cinema's, and we went with a group of friends together. New friends, since we were in first year of high school.
What an experience! Some movies, you have to experience as a child/teen, to really feel the 'magic' of it. So different from all the dinosaurs movies before it.
The fact they didn’t make Lex & Tim the protagonists of the JW movies and instead focused on two new characters nobody cares about is so annoying
Over the last 3 decades, it's proven quite difficult to top Jurassic Park. The film is without a doubt a classic
Not for me tho
I like Owen grady and all the new actors but it would’ve been cool if lex and Tim returned.
@@-RandoBando- Owen is the most bland movie protagonist of all time, he’s literally just Chris Pratt in a leather jacket
@@YodaOnABender sure. But to be honest i really like Jurassic world… the newer ones aren’t as good tho and NOTHING will ever be a Jurassic Park
One of the key elements that makes this movie SO good to this day is the amazing acting done by these two! At no point does it FEEL like they're "acting". They were both SO good in their parts.
No other kids in the other movies looked as legitimately terrified as these two
That and Spielbergs genius! sheesh!
Directing kids is VERY difficult.
Speilberg magic. He's got pro at directing kids movies.
Joe Mazello's portrayal of Eugene Sledge in the Pacific was Oscar worthy IMO. He is an under appreciated talent in the industry. The PTSD scenes with him in the last episode were super powerful. As a veteran, I really appreciated his performance. To see him come from this kid in Jurassic Park to now, is amazing. He deserves more opportunities.
Hey was really good also in Bohemian Rhapsody as John Deacon
I'm not a vet, but the hunting scene with his dad after he returns hit me so hard. It encapsulated the struggle to return to civilian life that millions of service-members had, and it still brings me sorrow that a large portion of them had to put it all in a box inside, never to be shared or spoken of. So many stories and experiences forgotten, lost to the ravages of time.
I had no idea Tim was also Sledge until seeing this video.
Joe was the best thing in The Pacific.
The Pacific is one of the most underrated shows of all time
R.I.P Richard Attenborough and thank you for sparing no expense.
@Baseds_Backup_Account - I couldn't have said it any better myself. Took the words right out of my mouth. As I'm a huge fan of this iconic blockbuster, I'd like to give you words to remember all the time - "Welcome...to Jurassic Park."
That kitchen scene, man. They don't make tense scenes like this these days, the pacing for it, the build up, it's just perfect.
Yes all to much animated stuff i like to mix it like end of the 90's but after matrix all movies suck just a couple that I can enjoy
It's soo fun to see these two actors talking about their memories on set. I was 6 or 7 when I first saw Jurassic Park and as a kid I looked up to both of them, outsmarting Raptors and facing a T-Rex. JP sparked a lifelong interest in dinosaurs and I can't believe we're three decades after its release.
Its like seeing old friends from your childhood ❤
Would love to see them in a future movie.
Happy 30th anniversary to Jurassic Park 🎊🎊🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉
I was 13 in 1993. Watched this in the theater and I recall while watching it, thinking to myself, "Years and years from now I'm going to remember this moment, sitting here in this movie theater watching this movie about dinosaurs." And I think because I had that weird thought, I've never forgotten that day, even now 30 years later.
I was 8 years old
13 here. I remember realizing that I was on the edge of my seat after the T-Rex attack.
I wasn’t even born when the movie was released. But I absolutely love it.
Have watched it 350 times already, if not more.
You're old af bro.
Same, but I was 12. I still am amazed watching this movie, still loving every second of it.
Good to see them get some recognition after all these years!
How they weren't in the Jurassic World sequels in some way, I'll never know.
theres a reasonable explanation for that. seemingly how neglegant, narcosisstic & at every single cut corner, how incompatent Hammond was, even prior to his introduction on screne. Dont forget that the only reason they were on the island in the first place, was because a trained professional surrounded by other trained professionals with weapons. And the recource that John elected to do?
"Oh lemme bribe some unsuspecting ppl to come here! And some kids! During a natural disaster."
Imagine the PTSD tim must have. If being turned into a tim-nata by a Trex, or human piece of toast wasnt enough a reason to use lethal force on the same RAPTOR from beginning, wth are they for?!! and Lex proving even she is more qualified to operate the park than john. I mean, finding out that he lied about the animals being able to breed in captivity is pretty colossal size wedge b/w someone uThought uCould trust,
into a person we NEVER SEE them interact with ever again. Not even in the sequel.
Get some recognition??
Joseph Mazzello has acted in plenty of good movies and shows since then, with significant roles.
Not everything revolves around JP or JW.
If anything, I'm glad to see that they still have fond memories of JP
And glad they didn't have to be in the crappy sequels
@@KingofKran... Why did you invent an argument for yourself? Lol
I'm strictly talking in regards to JP and being recognised in some manner.
It's almost always every other cast member that gets interviewed or put on some special features
Good for them they weren’t. Love the Spielberg original, but Fallen Kingdom and Dominion were terrible movies
@@bregowine Your wrong Fallen Kingdom was great.
It’s so great to see that you two were able to grow up without being ruined by the business and the culture that surrounds it. Kudos to both of you for keeping your heads on straight.
tg someone in here understands the reality
That is the experience of 99% of people in this industry. Most people are in it for the passion and craft. Very few people get swept up in the fame and money. Be aware that productions, even for the giant blockbusters, are comprised of tens of thousands of workers. Just becasue one or two actors/actresses became an egomaniac, doesn't mean that is the case for everyone else. Be aware that the media you listen to sells stories, so they only focus on the rare events and drama that occurs. Which almost never conveys the actual event or experience that others had.
@@youtubeis... This is light years from reality. Slap yourself.
@@evolicious Well, let’s see. I first went on stage when I was 6 years old. I’ve been in front of countless cameras, and I know that the industry does nothing to discourage bad behavior among the people who have top credits. Are there thousands of people who want to do a great job and are passionate about the craft? Absolutely. However, if young people were not at great risk by being a part of the industry, Paul Peterson would never have had to start “a minor consideration.” That’s why I am so glad that these two kids did not get ground up and spit out.
Throughout my childhood dinosaurs have always been my favorite creatures. Ever since I saw my first Jurassic Park (1993) movie when I was 8 years old, I became a huge fan of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchise, and no matter how many times I've seen the movies I still enjoy watching them. I believe the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchise is the best thing mankind has ever made. Long live the dinosaurs.
This speaks to my soul, although I never saw it in the theatre as I was born a few years later. Long live the dinosaurs, indeed!
This movie change my life and I am so grateful it happened, Long Live The Dinosaurs!
I agree except for me it was the t.v. show Land of the Lost, Play-Doh dinosaurs.
@@traviscartwright3950 I also the TV show saw Land of the Lost. It was really cool.
I hope your boyfriend likes them too
It's so good to see the kids again. My family and I were so disappointed when they did not appear in any of the rest of the JP movies. We always wondered what happened to them. Hopefully they can make an appearance if another JP movie is in the works.
They were in JP the lost world when Malcolm comes to meet John....
Every time I watch this masterpiece my inner child comes out
Best feeling is owning the first three in 4K quality. They are collector worthy.
“We’re in all the good sequences”
Wow, never occurred to me that the two most iconic suspense sequences really were carried by these two, as children. So fun to hear their shared memories of filming. And some cool behind the scene footage I’ve never scene before, always a treat!
Joe and Ariana had great chemistry in Jurassic Park
The child actors have grown up and looking great! Jurassic Park is one of my favorite Universal movies I ever seen ever since I was like 4! ❤🦖🦕
Thirty years ago! Now I’m almost 60. My husband and I watched this over and over and over again. Steven Spielberg never disappoints but it does my heart happy to see you two again and telling your story about the making of it. Thank you. ❤️
I was 19 when this came out lol
Unfortunately these last few years Spielberg disappoints a lot.
I remember watching Jurassic Park on vhs 25 years ago 1998 when I was 3 years old and I absolutely loved it. Can’t believe Jurassic Park has finally reached its 30th anniversary. Thank you Spielberg and crichton
Wow, has it really been 30 years?
Where does the time go?
Jurassic Park, the best movie ever! 🦖💚
Yes! This movie has iconic
Yes indeed
So is the second and third one. The first three are the best
Seeing the kids from jp all grown up really makes me feel old, I have loved the franchise ever since I glanced my eyes on the dinosaurs in it. long live the Jurassic franchise
We're not old, we' re changing!!!! Kids get old 😂 hahaha...!!!
Life is so surreal. Like how did we all end up on this Little Rock floating in the universe? How? Mind boggling 😢
He played Sledge in The Pacific, also the bass player in Bohemian Rhapsody
Long live Jurassic Park, certainly not the franchise! :D But it made me feel old too. Screw it.
The franchise is dead. JP1 was the one and only good movie form that entire IP.
joe was my first childhood celebrity crush! he’s still absolutely adorable! ❤
Unreal it has been 30 years. Never forget being an 11 year old going to see this in summer of 93. Blown away. Movie was so huge. One of my favorite movies to this day.
Ariana in both Jurassic Park and Tremors-epic childhood!
Is good to see them again since first Jp movie
That's it, I'm getting my kids to make me a mudpit. Thankyou both for the great memories! JP will always have a special place in my heart.
They have such good chemistry!!! It's a shame they didn't return more for the franchise.
El legendario 1993 ❤ un año que marcó para siempre en la historia , merece ser inducido al salón de la fama , preciosa película.
Lex and Tim???
God what a fantastic film, it’s my favorite there’s no doubt about it! Seeing it in theaters was just such a wonderful thing.
The kitchen scene is probably my favorite movie scene of all time.
The fear in Tim and Lex’s eyes was so real, it truly elevated an already legendary movie
Really wish they finally address what was going through Lex’s mind when she turned on that flashlight for no apparent reason when the Rex first appeared.
Many movies will come and go... but nothing can overtake JURASSIC PARK 🦕🦖... JP lives forever and ever .... It's an emotion 😊
If I had to run through an entire movie by heart or I’d die Jurassic park would be my pick no question. It one of the greatest movies of all time even today
THERE WILL BE NEVER ANOTHER JURASSIC PARK! JURASSIC PARK IS ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC AND GREAT MOVIE EVER MADE. WHEN WE WATCH JURASSIC PARK, WE FEELS LIKE WE ARE PRESENT THERE WITH SATTLER, GRANT, MALCOLM HAMMOND AND THE KIDS; THIS IS THE MAGIC OF JURASSIC PARK ❤
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THE MEMORIES ALIVE OF THIS CLASSIC!
This movie was an instant hit, and a classic and an epic all at once, I remember seeing this in the theater and the experience leaves you totally believing that everything you saw was indeed possible. These 2 kids (at the time) were so good and so believable that I don't feel any other 2 kids would've done as well as they did. They genuinely looked scared out of their heads.
This is an all time favorite, and those 2 young folks should be very proud of their accomplishments.
This was brilliant. It's so great to see these two together talking about this. What a great memory for them. Thanks for sharing this.
I will never forget watching this at the cinema with my mum. I was 11 and we went to McDonald's first, got the special jurassic Park kids meal and then went on to change the way I feel about film for the rest of my life. Probably one of the fondest memories I'll ever have with my mum. I miss her so much.
I love Jurassic Park!!!🦖🦖🦖🦖💗😄🦕🦕
I was fortunate enough to see the movie in theaters recently for the 30th anniversary! I was way too young to see it in theaters. It wasn’t until when I got older my parents showed me Jurassic Park and it literally changed my life. Seeing it in theaters was so unbelievable and so amazing I couldn’t stop crying I got to relive my childhood. Jurassic Park is without a doubt still one of my favorite movies of all time
Man, Joseph Mazzello sure is lucky to have shared scenes with such a gigantic onscreen presence! But enough about Bohemian Rhapsody...
My eldest, my daughter was born that summer. Always has been our favorite
I love their sibling chemistry even as adults. The brother the funny one , the sis protective
Would be fun to see a movie where they are brought back in for a decent sized role.
Every time a new Jurassic World movie comes out I’ve looked for these two to return ☹️ so many others have returned over the years! We need these two now!!! Lol
tbf, both of those kids would have serious PTSD, and would definitely be out of place to be involved in a sequel. Maybe a reboot of some kind though.
They really do have great sibling energy, and it's fun to watch them reminisce about filming one of my favorite movies. It really makes it seem like not including them in the Jurassic World films was one of many missteps the franchise made. Mazzello was excellent in The Pacific, so he'd still be more than capable of handling the acting and the action. I know Richards doesn't act too much anymore, but even if she could be convinced to do another cameo it would have been so much more meaningful than bringing back Lewis Dodgson. Their characters would definitely fit into the world more organically than either the new main characters or even the rest of the original JP cast.
So good. Iconic childhood film with iconic childhood characters. So happy to see them so many years later and getting to hear some of their truly unique inside stories. Wish them the best. 🙏
My favorite creature when I was 13 honestly was the human Ariana Richards; she was my first film crush; with Winnie from Wonder Years being my first from the 1980s from television.
Though it is odd this is suggested in almost November since the anniversary was June 5th 1993.
Richards seems happier than pie, but I swear the grown up Tim suffers from some kind of low grade depression and social anxiety .
Richards was so rich from Jurassic park she quit acting and started painting haha!
The smartest actors get residual cut deals before the movie hits !
I went and saw JP 3-D for 20th anniversary, and for 30th god bless, and best of continued success .
Imagine you are 40 or so and you still get checks from work you did at 12 or less .
I am baffled how lex and Tim did not return for any of the Jurassic Worlds, but they have time to reminisce together for a video ?
Just an observation of angry old Fan haha 😂
Has it really been 30 years?! Jurassic Park is and always will be a favorite movie. What a brilliant idea to let these two record a commentary for these scenes! Love that this happened!
Nostalgia overload
So nice to see Tim and lex again they look great and still love the movie. I can't believe it's been 23 years.
try 30 years
Movie came out in 1993, bruh. Not 2000. This was the 30 year anniversary. Lol 😂
The video title doesn’t say 23 year. Wtf kind of weird anniversary is that?
When I first saw JP when I was 8 years old, I cried during the scene where Dr. Alan was moved by seeing dinosaurs for the first time.
I had the illusion that there were real dinosaurs.🦕
Even as a child, I knew that the CG I had seen before was fake, but I didn't know that the scene was CG at the time.
And the scene where Rex and Tim run away made me nervous even then.
Even now, I watch the scenes where they run away from the T-Rex and the Raptor in the kitchen with a sense of excitement, even though I know the outcome.
I was annoyed at Rex who didn't listen to Tim and waved his flashlight around, and at Tim who didn't jump off the barbed wire. 😂
Now 30 years later, the JP series will always be my favorite movie series, but my favorite is still the JP first with you guys in action.
Since Dr. Alan, Ellie, and Malcolm all appeared in the final series of JW, I thought that Rex and Tim would naturally appear in some way without going to the island (like Ellie helping Dr. Alan from off the island with a call in JP3), and I was disappointed in the movie theater when they didn't appear in any way.
If there is still a sequel to the JP/JW series, I would love to see Rex and Tim in it again.
Congratulations on JP's 30th anniversary.
With love from Japan.🇯🇵🦖
Just glad so say, I grew up with this, such a great blessing it was 😍😍😂
FYI: Steven Spielberg makes a brief cameo. He's used as rex bait!
🐐
Joe & Ariana are the coolest in Jurassic Park! In fact, they should have come back to Jurassic World 3: Dominion to be precise!🦕🦖 Stars & Fukuisaurus!
The first movie was the best one out of all of them. By far! The 2nd was good too. The new films have completely lost their way.
I was 7 when Jurassic Park came out and I saw it in theaters and it is still one of my favorite movies of all time. I just brought my daughter who is also 7 to see it in theaters this year for the first time! She loved it!
Jurassic World movies, theme parks, and games are the best in history
Having seen all the extra materials, I absolutely LOVE seeing new featurettes like this. This was SUCH a fun video. Even learning new stuff that we never heard about before (like there being a guy who dropped the spoon or the missing T-Rex tooth). PLEASE never stop making videos like these 😁😁
I know they were children in 1993, but they haven't changed a bit!
Watched this movie fifteen times at the cinema, back in 93. I was ten years old.
I'll never forget the first time.
Jurassic Park 1993 This Is Movie Ever
This seriously made my day
Her: this is the first time we met the t rex
Me: 🥲 me too 😩🤘🤘🤘🤘 this is one of the best memories as a 90s baby
It is so weird not knowing that the actor that played the little boy later played an amazing role in "The Pacific"
Awwwwwwe!!! So good to see you both!!!!💯💯💯😁😁💕💕💕💕😂😂😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘
Still my favorite franchise of all time, I hope in future installments we will get Paleo-Accurate Dilophosaurus and Stegosaurus.
I wish you two had a presence in the final Jurassic park movies. You two a were vital to Jurassic park!
There should be a dvd edition with them doing an entire movie commentary.
It has been 30 years? Like, WOW! I was probably about 11 when that movie came out. It is insane so much time has past. The first movie will always be the best one.
I really hope they can get put in the next movie
One of my teachers back in the 2nd grade told me they filmed parts of this movie practically in parts of her backyard when her husband and her lived in Hawaii. She would also bring fossils she dug up herself for me and the other kids in my class to look at.
The best movie ever!!🦕🦖
🦕 🦖 lol
OH MY GOD seeing this seriously made my day! ❤️ I absolutely adore this movie my all time favorite and one of the things that first got me on the path of my life long love of dinosaurs especially T Rex 😍 Also side note can we talk about how good they both look and how cute their personalities are 🤗 This movie will forever hold a special place in my heart and so will everyone who acted in it, truly a pleasure seeing the both of y'all ❤️😍😊
Jurassic Park still holds up incredibly fine like it did in 1993, I used to wonder how could they not cry in the making of the kitchen scene? Such great memories this movie brought me.
I wanna know if these two ever considered coming back for any of the sequels?
Legend
Aw, So iconic! Love you guys. Smiling from cheek to cheek. ❤
My goodness, I was ten when this came out. These two scenes, with how palpable their fear was had me nearly hyperventilating in the theater. Of course, I still loved it because I was super into dinosaurs. Aaand 3 months later could finally sleep with the light off again. 😅
Lmao! Omg same!
OMG! I have so many questions...wish they would do a Q&A.
Fantastic video and it’s wonderful to have the memories of the actors who played Tim and Lex :). 💜💜💜
This is one of my favorite movies. I watched this over and over when it first came out. It so cool to see Timmie and Lex and them doing commentary is awesome. One of my favorite scenes was when they were on a field and they ended up running from a herd and he said so much blood or something like that when a dinosaur got caught by T-Rex.
Will always be the best movie ever ! There’s something about old movies that captures the authenticity of characters and storyline . Everything wasn’t cgi like the new movies , it felt more real.. I wish movies would go back to the old style 😩
I agree
Excellent
So cool to see these two together! I'm a life long fan of the original film and I remember the very first time I ever got to see it on VHS, mum was reluctant to let me watch it but I managed to get to the scene of nedry being gooed by the Dilophosaurus screaming at him and that's what did young me in 😂 haha! After a short break we continued watching and I remember being utter utterly taken away by the movie. Mr Spielberg has been an inspiration to me also, I remember reading about him trying to make his way in his early career and all the setbacks. I recall reading about his determination and perseverance and look at where it got him, I've done my best to do the same for my own career, to be passionate about what I do, to work hard at what I do but most importantly, to love and be proud of what I do.
I have this on 4k Blu-ray and it is amazing!
Kinda crazy to look back on these movies and how tense the scenes are without sensory overloading loud music. These scenes felt like they lasted forever and you never knew when it was going to end.
I love these two. What chemistry!
Thank you for sharing, I absolutely Love this movie and you guys were not obnoxious kids. Oh, and what a Birthday! 💖💖🇺🇲
This movie still holds up the cgi and animatronics in this movie are stunning there are movies made today that don’t even comes close to this film. Thank god for Steven Spielberg the world is genuinely a better place because of him
I know I should have realized this before, but I just now realized that Timmy (joe) is Eugene from the miniseries "the pacific". What an epic career.
Jurassic Park was the first “grown up” movie I actually remember seeing at the cinema, I was only 7 years old at the time, and I remember my parents paid for the super comfy expensive chairs, and I remember hiding when the velociraptors came on! They scared me so much! But now, one of my favourite films ever 🦖🦕
You two were so great! And like you say, icon scenes!
I was also 7 and was just told that we were going to see a dinosaur movie. My older cousin wanted to sit in the front row and I went with him. The T-Rex scene just about ended me. I had nightmares about it busting through the wall and raptors roaming our halls at night only to watch my VHS after school and repeat it all again. 😂
I was 10, saw it 3 times in theaters, and each time had to shut my eyes during the kitchen scene. Even though I knew they made it out okay it was just WAY too intense for me.
Its incredible that this was 30 years ago 😮
What good memories childhood, my sister and I used to watch this movie over and over never gets old, 💜 90s were vibe
Please come back as adult Lex and Tim to Jurassic world that would be epic
This was by far the greatest Jurassic park , thank guys for doing this commentary
