I got drawn in the boat with lindsay at the 2006 spring match, total newbie, didn’t have a clue about comp fishing, loved it! Went on to fish in the world championships last year! Thanks lindsay!
Loved this video being ex Army, REME. I served with 1 Royal Scots during the first Gulf War in Iraq, so easily understand everything you're saying, Lindsay. I'm fluent in Jockanese! 😂 Great that the new lads get a chance to see an expert fish and then get some quality free coaching once you've hit your bag. Hopefully, many go on to enjoy such a fantastic, addictive sport. ❤🎣
Brilliant video as ever Lindsay. Loved your willingness to help others. It was interesting to see you catch in relative calm conditions in shallow water and then also in deeper water on the windy side of the water. Any reasons for this please? Many thanks to you. Cheers.
You should come back up to sunny Scotland and fish lintrathen reservoir in angus, my local it's absolutely stunning and the fish fight like hell as it's got a river flowing in and out so you get some wild broonies as well.
Lintrathen is a beautiful Victorian reservoir surrounded with some beautiful Rhododendron bushes close to the boat harbour, there are terrific rainbows in the water and the chance of brownies as well, it’s well worth a visit.
Plans B to D are always good fall backs when the conditions or fish are not as expected. Avoiding the just one more drift. Becoming target fixated. Are fatal mistakes. Keep focused on overall objective. Doing your best for your team. Be flexible and ready to alter fly, tactics, location. Was the long move a good option? You took a calculated risk. It did not work on the day but you realised and changed again. Good to see the new guys as future potential team members. Plus you obviously had a good few days on the UK Mecca of fly fishing. With more good memories, and again thank you for all the extra work recording and post production filming the process.

The fish that were recently stocked were hugging the bank on both sides of the basin. There were plenty about.

Nice one Lindsay. :)
Thanks! 😊
Lindsay great VLOG how many fish do you now keep?
Two pal
Hi Lindsay! Thanks for the very entertaining video. Where was this? Scotland?
Rutland Water is in the county of Rutland in the midlands of England pal.
@@lindsayiflyfish I would love to visit and fish there someday.
How do you prove your catch up to the limit? Is it quickest to catch the limit or does weight of fish come into it?
You catch and kill 2 fish then release 12. Noting the time with your boat partner.
Fantastic. I take it its the fastest toget the bag limit wins?
It depends after you reach your limit you are 1lb an hour time bonus.
@@lindsayiflyfish that's agood idea
Great video Lindsay. The suit your wearing looks the business, can i ask what it is, thank you.
It’s made by a company called Halk & Hunt. Best waterproof clothing I have ever owned.
You look like what I was like today.. Hungover 😂
No hangover pal 🤣
