Thanks John . Great wee film with no silly music or tackle advertising , just one man in a boat having a great time on a nice day catching fish on my favourite method .🎣🎣🎣👌👌
That’s awfully nice of you. I have a recording studio but a no music policy for my videos no matter how tempted I am to put my own stuff in. I do talk about what I use, but I buy it myself. I did a review of the line I use when they sent it to me but I don’t blatantly plug stuff.
Nice video john nice to see u drifting and not parking the boat were the stockies is to give the fish a chance to settle in good to see u get back out again👌🎣
Thank you for the nice comments. I think if I anchored over the fish my positive feedback would plummet. Not a fan of that. It’s so much more fun to keep on the move.
Its better that way m8 the fishery im a member of up here in scotland only give u an anchor if its windy any other time its a drifting boat its better and takes more skill and it gives every1 a shot at the fish 👌
Hi John, really enjoyed this video. I have never done fly from a boat until last week. A lot to learn. But I am lucky as Justin Allen who I fish with is a bit of a pro on a boat. So I have been watching a good few fly/boat vids. Your approach in this video for me is spot on. We need to see more of this. More to fishing than hammering stock fish. Its good to catch a good few, but when the day becomes more about numbers. You know what I mean. Your attitude towards fishing has got you a massive thumbs up from me. I have subscribed so I don't miss the next one. Looking forward to it. Thanks John. Take care. Shaun.
Question for everyone, when fishing a team of buzzers, do you use tapered leaders or do you use say 8lb all the way through from the fly line to the point? Thanks in advance!
I’ve tried both. But now stick with the same leader all the way through. When they are hard on them it’s like a feeding frenzy. No real need for fine presentation like with dries.
Visit Craig Barrs Facebook page or Flash Attack Flies website. The buzzer boxes were one of his weekend offers. I’d just email him and get one custom made.
@@Labeilofest Had an epiphany about catching wild fish that never grew up in a stock pond and have been in the water for years rather than weeks or days.
@@johnp4hc I get it and I agreed, the smaller waters this is correct but when we are talking about Rutland and Grafham, they are large enough to hold good stocks of over wintered and grown on fish. Each to their own but it is a shame not to see any more content. I really thought you were starting to get somehwere.
You might want to fix your boat seat or adventures might not be so much fun especially flying solo.Someone went over the side reently due to a sliding boat seat.Luckily saga ended well but not without some drama and being towed.into shallow water to get ashore.Getting back into those reservoir boats from being in the the water kitted up is not an option.
Thanks John .

Really pleased you liked it. I try to keep it honest and entertaining.
great video ,hope to get the same sport nx wk. what's different about the new engines ?
Just different to get started. Make sure you have a good play at the jetty before setting out.

What tackle set up would be needed to fish Rutland, rod length line weight leader, tippet, buzzer pattern..etc... Rutland
There are a multitude of answers to that question!
great video once again, where can i buy that box of buzzers and how much?

You need to slow your retreave down a bit with buzzers mate
No I don’t. I do what works for me.
Where's all the new videos?
Lost interest in trout. Not so easy to film sea fishing. Too much extra gear to carry about.
@@johnp4hc Lost interest in trou!?!?!? I'm shocked to the core....

But did you get 106?
It’s pretty clear in the video that’s not what I do.

I usually tighten it more. I was a bit lax that day.
@@johnp4hc Came to mind straight away as the incident I speak of happened very recently.
Love u fishing vids and ur enthusiasm but Jesus learn to cast properly...
