This is what it sounds like without the Western orchestra influence. Yu-Peng will go down as one of my favourite composers of all time, his work with Genshin has been phenomenal beyond words.
It wasn't technically a Western orchestra since the instrumentation included traditional instruments. Also along this train of thought, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra recorded the original - so it is technically influenced by Chinese through and through. The only exception would be the Western instruments that format the rest of the orchestra, other than that, everything else is Chinese influenced.

Rapid As Wildfires, originally composed by Yu-Peng Chen mixes two orchestra styles: Eastern Asia and Western Orchestra - this isn't me fabricating facts or my opinion, this is exactly what Zhiyi said himself on a documentary talking about composing for Genshin Impact. The orchestra is originally Chinese as one can hear from instruments, but the rest of the orchestration: horns, 1st and 2nd strings, their heavy emphasis makes it a hybrid. "Influenced by" doesn't mean "originally made from", it means "to have an effect on". Without those aforementioned instruments, it sounds only from Eastern Asia.

But these seem to be in their natural habitat, anything remotely related to Genshin Impact, which is good for now but they could go on to infect other habitats and environments if not gone unnoticed. To go one step further: In Genshin Impact, there's a particular (and somewhat weak) grass enemy that likes to sneak on the player when they are close enough. I subscribed to this channel because I got into listening to Chinese music a year ago when I got into MDZS and clicked on this to realize this is the battle music from Genshin Impact... this is my favorite battle music and this cover is really good.

Yep. It's a battle theme. :) There are even more badass battle themes. Search for Inazuma battle themes in Genshin. Listen to LA signora battle theme. And Azdaha battle theme. It goes intense and crazy.

I like to imagine this song played for a character who's fighting but her movement and rhythm correspondence to the song. It goes fast she goes fast, it goes slow she goes slow. This makes her an unpredicted and fun fighter to spar with due to you can sense the inspiration behind her flawless movments.

It was because of THIS cover on this channel that pushed me to downloading, installing, and starting my Genshin Impact journey. Almost two years later, its growing OST continues to blow me away. The tracks for Inazuma and The Chasm are cinematic masterpieces imo.

Still, being an enemy, it triggers the combat music, but still doesn't come out until you bother to search for it. I subscribed to this channel because I got into listening to Chinese music a year ago when I got into MDZS and clicked on this to realize this is the battle music from Genshin Impact... this is my favorite battle music and this cover is really good.
