amazing, thats the thing ableton is so flexible it can accomodate any workflow, the idea of resampling is great because it forces you to move on, rather than tweak things in midi.
That’s pretty fun! Just a question as I’m just starting with ableton. Once you duplicate the audio track, why is it necessary to covert it into audio again?
When you do that, you convert all the data, including any FX to audio, so you ingrain that sound, you can perform audio manipulation, which is different to midi manipulation, gives you a different (IMO) more organic sound.
@@vxd I don’t necessarily use it to create melodies, chords, or drum rhythms. I use to ask specific questions on how to use the different mechanics of Ableton. It would first start with questions how to insert midi track with a short cut, to how do I automate tracks, to how do I side chain this melody. LLms really helped make a difference in my rate of progress
This is a solid technique. Thanks, but one request. Please record or compress your video in higher quality/resolution, it is a blurry mess that is hard to follow.
@@vxd My screen res is 4k. I have youtube quality all the way up (1080 is the max for this vid). It is only when you are showing the full arrangement view, when you are zoomed to just a device it is fine. I do notice that even when you are showing the full arrangement view it only takes up part of the video frame, leaving abou2 25% as a black border. Maybe scaling it to fill the frame would help. I was able to follow along fine, but if you had been clicking small buttons or typing numbers in paramater boxes, it would have been very hard to follow if rendered like this. I dont know if YT will let me drop links here, but I can share some screenshots later if you want. Thanks again, and I will be giving this a try later!
@WBradleyRobbins are you an editor? I've just started learning davinci so still working things out. Yes drop some links. I do know what you mean, but good to analyse it a bit more.
@@vxd not an editor, but work in IT and have done small amounts of video editing here and there. Not familiar with DaVinci though. I will share some linked screenshots of what I mean in a bit.
Resampling is the key, I learned it too late but I'm having so much fun now resampling again and again my own loops to sound design! Cool vid man!

It looks fine to me? You can maybe increase your resolution to 4k?
