@@paulgrewal yes I have heard of it, in fact I did a tutorial/review on it! ua-cam.com/video/MXnhFBg1cwM/v-deo.htmlsi=g8PiYH2eBCNigM0Y So basically rhythmic steps is another level above a midi transformation tool, its a complete new development, but it might be something the developer considers (but of course the UX design would be another level, and much much harder to build)..
Does this feature work with existing MIDI files? For example, if I import a MIDI file, will it adjust to stay in sync with the rhythm of the input MIDI?
you can import any midi file and then use this tool to modify that midi. Im not sure what you mean by "adjust" to stay in sync? all midi is in sync with bpm (its different in that respect to audio).
@@vxd Thanks I basically want to be able to create different melodies while maintaining the same syncopation and the same amount of notes of the original midi file
@reactionJackson-g9w you can absolutely do that, I was gonna do that in video , take an already famous song or bassline and nudge the midi to see what comes out. But maybe another time..
Push interface compatible?
I dont think it is, but I can ask
Would kill for a push enabled version of this… features are amazing but clicking in that tiny box is no fun
Yes unfortunately ableton limits the screen to that size, so developers have very limited real estate for midi transformation tools like this.
@ I wonder if a max for live device could be built around it? Similar to rhythmic steps if you’ve seen that new one

Turning encoders should be more pleasant. The author should consider redesigning the UI to fit Push.
